Well Hello Again! As each day goes by I am getting more and more restriced. I have only been eating salads since that is really the only thing that goes down without getting stuck. I go the Wendy's and get the side salad and can't eat the whole thing. How is everyone else doing? Fine I hope! Take care and keep posting.

HEY Alexandra! My first fill was 10-6 and I couldn't really feel any restriction. I can feel some now. My food seems to get stuck more so I am doing the really small bites. Take care and Good Luck to everyone on the weight loss...

I went to IHOP and ordered 2 scrambled eggs and only ate a little less than 12 of it. When I drink I can feel the liquid hit the band and go slooowly down. I feel tighter I guess. Sometimes I get soo discouarged about loosing so slowly; but other times I am OK; I am just ready to lose alot. After my first fill I only lost 3 lbs. I am really hoping for a bigger loss this time. He told me to call or go back in 2 months; but in about 5-6 weeks if I am not feeling as restricted I am surely gonna call him. Wish me luck:-)

Went to the Dr and he filled me in his office:-) I was supposed to have 1.5cc but I only had 1cc in there so he put in another. So now I am at 2cc. Hope I really start losing weight....

Hello everyone! I am going in tomorrow to see about getting my 2nd fill next week. Kinda nervous, Not sure if I should really get the fill or not. But I will see the Dr. tomorrow and find out what he thinks:-)))

Or be like me and tell her to go to hell and on her way take a cookie:-) I work with 2 other ladies in my office and they are very understanding; of course with only 3 women in a office you become very close friends and I have explained to them about the whole band "thing" and the fills, etc. Keep your head high and smile! Whatever you do don't let her get to you! Smile!

I don't know any support groups around here. I have heard good things about Dr. Spivak. Have you followed up with Dr. Speigel's office staff? I really like the Dr and the staff. My first Dr's appt was August 1 and I had the surgery on August 20. Keep in touch with me and keep me updated on your process. Good Luck!

I have a question about the food getting stuck. First of all where is it getting stuck? If at the band isn't it supposed to not go through the band? I had a fill on last Monday and the food is getting stuck more than it used to. I have been taking small bites, I just really need to chew more I guess. I am VERY restricted at morning time. Tried to eat scrambled eggs for breakfast and couldn't. They would get stuck every time. In the evenings I am not AS restricted, but still restricted. Anyway, any info would help. Kinda confused about where the food is getting stuck at!!

My surgeon is the one who did the fill also. He is VERY much for getting the fills. At 4 weeks he was encouraging me to get a fill. He told me in 4 weeks to call him and he would do another one if I needed it. Weird how every Dr. is sooo different.

Man I wish you would have asked a little sooner; I just got back from vacation in Florida!! We went through Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama! You could have collected 4 from me:-) Will be sending you some soon! I work with a lady that lives in Louisana so I will get her to get me one for you !!

They told me to be be on liquids for 2 days; mushies for 2 days and then to regular foods slowly. I am sure ready to eat!

Well I am back from Florida and had a fill on Monday. It was no pain at all!! Had it done at the hospital and I was very suprised at how quick and painless:-) Can feel the restriction when I drink; can't take the big gulps that I used to could. Ready to loose more weight. Hopefully I can get all the fills in before the new year since my insurance is covering 100%. My deductible and out-of-pocket has been met. I have not lost any more weight; but am loosing inches....really weird. How does this happen? Hope all is well with all the losers and soon to be losers. Love this board!!!!!!!!!! Came back from Florida on Friday! Had a blast but I REALLY need a fill..Thank God I am scheduled for Monday!!

You are doing GREAT!!!! I was banded on Aug 20 and I have lost 15lbs; Have you had a fill yet? What size is your band? How much fill do you have? I am getting a fill on Oct 6! I can't wait..take care and keep in touch..kelly

How are you eating? Are you able to eat anything? I told my husband the other day and I don't even feel like I have the band!! Able to eat toooo much. My ear pain is now gone!!!! I can eat and my ear feels normal. Now I am really excited that I got banded. If the ear pain would have stayed I would be having doubts. I went for my 4 week post op appt on 9-18. I kinda decided at the last minute that I wanted to get the fill before I left; but there were no appts open. That is probably for the best. Nice hearing from you !! Take care and keep in touch!

I can't wait to start really losing. How long do you normally go in between fills. I found out this week I have the 9.75 band. The doc said he will put in 1.5 for the first fill!! The other 2 ladies at the Doctor's office that did my surgery has a 10. Not really sure why we have different sizes; do any of ya'll??? Hope all is well with everyone!!!

I am for sure slowing down when I eat; It also takes me 10 or so minutes after I eat to feel full. I did not think I would still be so restricted after just getting the band and no fill. I can eat the hamburger patty off of a burger and I am satisfied. I have ate the bottom piece of the bun before; but that causes the ear pain; won't do that anymore. Another thing; I thought you were not supposed to be able to eat bread with the band; and I have read where people eat toast or a bagel...I can eat the bread but I think eventually it swells causing the ear pain; I did go to the Chiropractor and to get "adjusted" and my back feels alot better. Wednesday will be my 4 week anniv and I go to the Dr on Thursday for a weigh in; I have stayed away from the scale lately. Is a hamburger patty alot to eat for someone 4 weeks post op?
