  1. Cissiesue those are the EXACT jeans I am referring to. My 18 year old daughter wears them in a size 1 or 2. lol I will be happy to get some in a 10 or 12,
  2. I want some of those cute thick-stitched jeans that have little jewels on the back pockets. Also a cute NV Wolf Pack shirt. I'm a big (literally) fAn but can't wear any of the cute female fan shirts. I look like a stuffed sausage.
  3. Congrats on hitting your goal a day early! You look fantastic!
  4. I wish I was having straight VSG. Oh well you live and learn.
  5. Are you having straight VSG or a revision from lap-band? I agree that we have made a great choice. There are docs here in my city that couldve done it (for a lot more) but even if insurance would've covered it I feel better knowing that I am going to someone who is as good as he is with revisions.
  6. Dizzle- you said you called them. I have only been in touch with Nina by email. Who did you talk to? I wonder if I should call them? What made you decide that you 100% wanted to go with them? Sorry for all of the questions.
  7. I'm scheduled with Dr. Aceves. I read and read before choosing and although he may be a bit pricey compared to the other I feel most comfortable going with him. Good luck to you.
  8. I'm not sure what to do. I applied with Cosmeticredit five days ago. Haven't received an email, their phone lines just give a busy signal, they haven't replied to my emails. Their website advertises "instant decisions" and I haven't heard ANYTHING. Very disappointed.
  9. Yay! Glad to hear you are home and doing well. When you say "foam build-up" is that similar to the lap-band sliming?
  10. Wow you look so beautiful! You are very inspiring for me. I hope I am as successful as you are. Thanks for posting the pics.
  11. Great question. I've been wondering the same thing. Maybe because caffeine is tough on the gut?
  12. That is great. I was just thinking about Sleevie Nicks this morning. Hahaha.
  13. I know this is a bit premature but I am so anxious and excited (and scared) to get my lap-band to VGS revision on May 11th. Are there any other sleevers scheduled for May? Where are you getting yours done? I am going to Dr. Aceves for two reasons. 1. My insurance has put an exclusion on all weight loss procedures (LAME!!) and 2. from what I have read and researched, he is a master at revisions.
  14. Congrats on the revision. I get mine in a little under two months. How are you feeling?
  15. Thank you everyone. I appreciate the input. I think I am just going to take a week off and not risk being too miserable. Were going to be down two people that week (in a five person office). Oh well. They are going to have to cope. lol
  16. I have read quite a few stories of people going alone and doing just fine. Plus you will meet other sleevers there that will keep you company. That was my experience when I went to Mexico to have my band. Do it. You will be fine.
  17. Well I applied with Cosmedicredit and haven't heard anything. I didn't get a confirmation email or anything. They seem very unprofessional. I tried calling all day today to see if my app was received and to get an app number so I can check the status but it kept forwarding me to voicemail and the voicemail box is full. If worse comes to worse I have a distribution that I can take on my 401k. It will be penalty free and I will just have to be earne income tax on it. Still not sure which way I will go.
  18. Wow we have some great names here. Thanks for sharing everyone.
  19. I've seen a few people on here name their sleeves. I thunk that is so funny but cute. I think I'll name mine Sleevester.
  20. You look fab and so happy!
  21. I am having surgery May 11th. I have taken off Thursay for travel and Friday for the surgery. I haven't requested Monday or any other days off for recovery because I want to try and not use vacation days. I have a very sedentary desk job but at the same time there are many times throughout the day where I will have clients in front of me at my desk. How many days did you take off? Do you think I will be able to return to work within a few days after surgery? I am worried I will have someone at my desk and have to run to the bathroom and puke or something. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.
  22. Did anyone use Cosmeticreit for Dr. Aceves? I was going to apply with the other company but their fees are insane. Has anyone used Cosmeticredit? If so, how was it? I didn't see anything on their website about the crazy loan fees. Any help will be appreciated.
