  1. This is one of the companies that Dr. Aceves office recommends. I applied online with them. Gave them ALL of my financial and private information. This was over three weeks ago. They have not responded to my emails or answered their phones. I am pissed off to say the least. DO NOT apply with them and expect anything except for frustration. I am so mad that they have all of this information on me. I told Nina at Dr. Aceves office and they kind of blew it off. Don't get me wrong, I do love their CS thus far at Dr. Aceves office but I do think they need to be mroe aware of the crappy company that they are recommending to their patients.
  2. A client came in to our office the other day. She had WLS and has kept if all off after 9 years. That definitely mae my day.
  3. Anyone ever wean off anti-depressants? I have been on them for about 4-5 years now and would love to stop taking them eventually. I don't know why. I guess I just want to try and make myself feel better without medicine. I have tried a few times but then I slowly feel the anxiety and "snappiness" of my attitude come back after about a week. Then I start back again. I am hoping about a year after surgery I can try and successfully get off the meds. I wanted to try and do it before surgery but I read a lot about how learning to eat again can be a very emotional event so I don't even want to mess with that situation. lol Anyhow, if any of you have ever done this i would love to hear from you. Please share anything, the good and the bad. Thank you.
  4. Woohoo! Can't believe how quickly the time is flying! Can't wait for May 11th! We will all be new people come June 1st! YES!!!
  5. With the plication do they just leave the extra stomach part there without cutting it out? Why would that not work compared to the sleeve?
  6. Interested to hear more about this. Is this the situation you're in?
  7. Wow!! Congratulations!!!
  8. That is amazing! Keep up the great work.
  9. Congratulations on the sleeve!
  10. All of these posts are making me feel positive about my future. At this point in my life I dread sex. I hate it because of how I look and feel. My boyfriend has a rockin' buff bod and loves my body the way it is but I just feel awful when he sees me naked. I can't wait to be where you are at and feel sexy again.
  11. That is good to know and gives me hope. Lol
  12. I am on day three of the stomach flu. I have been on only liquids for three days and have lost four lbs. I was thinking today that this is exactly what I am going to be doing (by choice) come May 11. It is crazy how the flu can wipe out our hunger signals. I hate being sick but I thought this was a nice little pre-cursor of what is to come.
  13. Thank you to everyone for answering my question. My capsule that I take is pretty large so I was worried about it. I will go over it with the doc beforehand but am just trying to get all of the my ducks in a row.
  14. Good luck to you. Sending lots of positive vibes. Can't wait to read an update.
  15. Thank you for sharing. Great article.
  16. Oh wow these are great! Can't wait for this thread because I am Not sleeved yet and am Curious to the answers. Lol
  17. Just realized that I need to find out how to take meds immediately following surgery??? I take fluoxetine capsules. If we are on clear liquids for days after surgery how do we take our meds? Crush them up in the clear liquid?
  18. WOW! You look great and that is so awesome about twoderville! YAY for you.
  19. I'm praying that you don't. Please keep us updated.
  20. This is what Dr. Aceves is having me do for my pre- op diet. I am doing Atkins phase 1.
  21. What do you mean cant see the weight loss? Do you still see yourself as 315?
  22. Omf I am so sorry this happened to you. I'm even happier to here that you are getting healthier. May I ask where you had your surgery performed? Did they perform leak tests before discharging you?
  23. Congratulations! That is awesome.
  24. You look absolutely gorgeous! Congrats on the weight loss. Can't wait to share my photos too.
