  1. Things do tend to slow down after the first couple of months. I started to exercise right around that slow down time and that has boosted my weight loss back up slightly. Someone else mentioned stationary biking. I have a cheap one that I bought from Walmart online several years ago and it still works great and even getting your heartrate up by 10-15 points for 20 minutes a day offers great benefits. Good luck!
  2. Congrats for making it to onederland!!!
  3. I am kinda shocked that people would reply to someone's admission of failure with curse words and attitude. I'm sure that being cursed at and berated has helped no one lose weight. I for one don't come to this board for all sunshine and sparkles. We all need tough love occasionally but there is a time, a place, and an appropriate manner. There is only one thing that bothers me more than a thin person reacting so harshly and that's a former fat person reacting in such a way. SMH To the OP good luck, search deep inside and outside of yourself for the help that you need to get where we are all trying to go and trying to stay. None of us are better than you.
  4. CW 204.4 GW 185 1.2 lbs down this week.
  5. Even though I've read numerous posts about this topic I did not think about my own marriage until recently. I met my husband when I was thinner so I really didn't think about how things might change if I got thin again. I am 4 months out and the past 3 months had been terrible as far as my husband and I arguing and not being on the same page. We never really argue or disagree so I felt something must be wrong. I didnt ask about specifics because I can't ever read my husband either, I just mentioned that I felt like we weren't on the same page. We sat down and talked about our 5 year plan and I think he got the sense that he's still in my plans and I was able to focus in him and give him attention that I probably haven't given him since I started focusing on myself with this weight loss journey in April of last year. My husband is definitely one who does not like change and no one can predict how lossing a lot of weight will affect the relationship.
  6. This is an awesome question. To be a normal weight I believe I need to hit 132. I was happy at 160 so my personal goal is 150. That would put me squarely in the overweight range and I think I would be fine with that.
  7. I quit the day before surgery. So I haven't had anything carbonated since March. I can't say I miss it much. I took a drink of my husband's soda because I got our drinks mixed up one day and it didn't feel good going down. It made me feel like I do when I take one bite too many. It was the most painful belch I ever experienced.
  8. I have not added carbonated drinks back into my diet out of fear! I loved drinking red bull and diet coke. Now its so difficult to get all my water in that I don't have the time/space to drink the carbonated beverages.
  9. Cute!!!! Good for you!!
  10. I stole this from another vst member but I like any shot of hard liquor on the rocks with a few drops of Mio. Sip slowly!
  11. That's awesome! You rock! Good luck with the rest of your journey!
  12. SW 210.5 LW 208.5 CW 205.6 GW 185 20.6 lbs to go.
  13. Hoping everything gets better with your family dorrie, I know that's gotta be tough.
  14. I have to keep my eye on the prize. It's just like when I would lose weight before surgery, I drop a few pounds, get excited, then get lax. 210 Starting challenge weight 206.4 CW 185 Challenge goal
  15. I am happy so far. I hope that I can get to goal within a year.
  16. I am losing just slower now. Sometimes I stick to protein shakes and that always gives me a losing boost.
  17. Yay, you've motivated me today. Thanks!
  18. I can eat most things on most days. Some days I can't tolerate heavy meats and some days I can't eat as much as the day before. Other times I feel like I'm starving. I'm still working on sticking to an eating plan.
  19. SW 210.5 CW 209.0 GW 185 I will gladly take my 1.5 lost because I've been stalling for over 2 weeks! Gonna get my water and protein in and try to go for a jog tonight.
  20. I was sleeved 3/13 and I do not have any regrets r/t to surgery. I do regret not getting my mind in check before I started.
  21. I love it. I would love it more if I could speed it up, lol!
  22. I've lost 51 and have another 49 to go before I do lipo.
