  1. My pain was about a 7 and I have a pretty high pain tolerence. The first day wasn't that bad but the second day was. I think the gas and port were the worst. I had my sugery on Friday and went back to work on Tuesday. I wish I would have taken the week off.
  2. I had trouble with driving too. I drive about 30-35 minutes to and from work. It lasted about 5-6 weeks for me. People probably thought I was crazy because I would lift my left arm and hold onto the head rest. Good luck and hopefully the pain will reside soon. Good luck!
  3. You are doing great! Just keep taking small sips. You want to sip sip sip 24-7. LOL thats what it seems like. Glad you are doing great and welcome to the other side!
  4. Missed this challenge. Hope to catch May's.
  5. My insurance required 2 years of supervised diet. Therefore I opted to self-pay.
  6. Good news! You will do great! Good luck!
  7. I had a wonderful Saturday! I cleaned out my closet of all the clothes that were to BIG! What a wonderful feeling! I told my husband and he couldn't believe it. I had to send him a pic because he was at work. This is a big deal because I usually hang on to clothes but I know I will not be wearing them ever again so why hold onto the past when I have a bright future ahead! I think some shopping is in order. LOL Loving my band!
  8. My tummy still makes noises too and I'm a little over 2 months post op now.
  9. Congrats! Soon you will be on the other side! My preop diet was the South Beach Super Charge Phase 1 for 2 weeks.
  10. Everything you are feeling is normal. I didn't feel hungry until about 3 weeks out. Your port site will take the longest to heal. Hang in there and sip water all day long and walk to relive pain. Follow your docs post op directions. Congrats and welcome to the other side. Hope you start feeling better soon.
  11. It is the nasty phlegm. I read on here to drink something warm to help it go down. Hope you get to feeling better. Take care of yourself.
  12. I always have FAGE greek yogurt on my list (23 G of protein per serving).
  13. I didn't have a fill on my first appt either. That is good news. Keep up the good work!
  14. Congrats on your progress! What an accomplishment!
  15. Just take your time eating and chew chew chew. I take a bite chew chew chew swallow and then wait 1 minute before I take another bite and so on. Remember to eat protein first because this will keep you fuller longer. Good luck.
  16. My husband bought me a scale the day of my surgery. Which I am very grateful but I wish it were digital. I hate guessing my weight on my current so I do not update my ticker unless I go to a doc or fill appt. I really need to invest in a digital scale because I want to set seasonal goals for myself. Any recommendations? My mom has a Weight Watcher digital scale and I like it.
  17. I was banded by Dr. Fox and I love him and his staff. They are all great! I would highly recommend him.
  18. Click on your name in the righthand corner select My Profile and edit profile.
  19. I have a greek yogurt smoothie during the work week. I add some additional protein powder (chocolate) and a couple of strawberries or a banana with some ice and 2 packets of splenda and blend it up in the blender. Yum, I love them. I have also used vanilla protein powder with frozen peaches. I get 1/2 of my days protein in the morning.
  20. You will need to go to the website and get the code and paste it into your signature. Hope thats helps.
