  3. Glad to hear you are doing great! I'm for the DFW area also!!
  4. Sorry to hear. My husband was very sensitive about this. For the first week him or my boys wouldn't eat in front of me it is kind of funny now but we are all eating healthier now because of me being banded. If it is really bothering you then you need to be honest with her.

  10. I do not count calories. I journal my food and exercise. I think it has helped me and I don't miss the items. I am down 44 lbs and I was banded 2/3/12..
  11. You are still healing. I'm sure everything on the outside looks good and healed but the inside will take longer.
  12. I do the low carb. I started with the South Beach prior to banding per doc (pre-op) and I have pretty much stayed with it. I don't have any bread, pasta, or rice. Always meat and veggies.
  13. I was banded 2/3/12. I don't know about being a mentor but I am more than willing to talk if you need someone. You can send me a personal message.
  14. Chekcing in. No weight change for me.
  15. C25K (Couch to 5k) is a work out program to do exactly what it states. To get your butt off the couch and prepare you for a 5k. I kept seeing it posted on here to I went to google. I am doing the treadmill version. It is a nine week program with three workouts a week. It starts off slow walking for five minutes, run for 1 minute, walk for a 1 1/2, and so on. Each week the running increases. I did my first workout for week 3 and it was a killer. I thought last week was hard but I have been pushing myself to finish and not give up. I am enjoying it and I can't believe I am actually doing it. LOL My husband walked in on me last week and said "I can't believe you are running..." Well I can't either. Here is the link if you are interested. http://www.c25k.com/c25k_treadmill.html
  16. Starting my 3rd week of C25K. Wish me luck because last week was hard!
  17. I can't do morning workout either. I usually do mine right when I get home from work.
  18. Welcome. Follow your docs instructions because everyone is different. Good luck!
  19. I use centrum chewables and I buy them at Walmart. I did use the gummies at first but they do not have iron in them.
  20. I have updated my weights and goal!
  21. I will be starting my second week on the c25k. I had an aftercare appt today and I am down another 4lbs! I am totally happy!
  22. I was banded 2/3/12 and I would do it again. I follow the instructions the doc gave me and I am very happy.
  23. Just follow your docs orders. Every doc is different.
  24. I have never ran before either. It is not as hard as you think. I am doing the treadmill version and I've had to push myself not to give up. Good luck and keep me posted.
  25. You could be right about the dehydrations. Remember to drink throughout the day.
