  1. Ugh. I've had a sharp pain in my chest for three days now. Got an X-ray and first fill yesterday so we know nothing is stuck. Been taking gas x and walking. Not helping. Not sure it's gas but don't know what else it could be. Anyone??
  2. Thanks! I'm looking forward to it bc I'm fairly hungry often right now so I def need it.
  3. Wow. That stuff is really bad. But it tastes so good! Ugh!!!
  4. I'm nervous and excited!

  6. JUSTDOIT---- I tried to send that as a private message but it wouldn't work. Feel free to message me if you want. Maybe you can get it to work.
  7. Hey! Ok I'm a huge fan. I know a lot of songs. Maybe not all but there were a couple songs I didn't know. So I guess they were new. Very mellow. The opening show was in Houston Friday night. Then Dallas was Saturday night. When they are in Houston they play a lot of songs and not a lot of long jam sessions. Then in Dallas they do fewer songs and lots of looooong jam sessions. I prefer more songs and less jamming. So I always prefer Houston. I'm going again in VA next month- which is my favorite place!!!

  9. Well the biggest issue I have with all this, as a LapBand newbie, is the conflicting info. My surgeon did not tell me not to drink soda. And I haven't heard anything about peanut butter until 6 months. My surgeon seems to be a kind of "well try it and see" kind of guy so I don't feel like I'm going against anything really. Like I said- all the conflicting info is hard to sort out. Just need to figure out how to make this tool work best for me

  11. Yeah I don't want pain OR appetite stimulation so I'm done.
  12. Well I had gone a month without soda. Even fought it at the Dave Matthews Band concert last night. I thought I'd try a diet coke today bc I don't have any saline in my band yet and wanted to see if I could. It wasn't horrible but it was painful. I could burp fine so it wasn't that. I think maybe it expanded my esophogus/stomach enough to press on the band?? I don't know. But it wasn't really worth it so that's done. NO desire to drink it flat so thats that.
  13. Wow that's great. I get my first fill Tuesday which will be almost one month post op. I'm ready Bc I'm hungry quite a bit! I'm doing well unthinking but its hard!
  14. Yeah I never even thought about seeing if I could get short term disability. Wish I would have tried that!!
  15. Well right at 2 weeks post-op my shoulder stopped hurting. It still hurts a little here and there but NOTHING like it was!!!! So happy!!! I just walked and walked and I think that really helped. Maybe it was gas. Who knows. What an adventure we are all on huh?!?
  16. I was hoping that too. Some people have much less trouble than I did so cross your fingers! I did it on a Thursday and went back to work Wednesday and was miserable. Then had to take Thursday off then worked Friday and Monday and took Tuesday off again. It was rough! But that's just me. I have a job that takes a LOT of emotional strength - with clients all day long. So that made it harder than maybe for others.
