I'm discouraged also! The amount of food & calories I have each day should equal weight loss, but not happening. I'm 4 1/2 wks too; only down 5 pounds

love your input - my surgery is in the am so I'm sure I'll be checking back frequently!

that is awesome to lose that much in 4 months - before you know it you'll be at your goal!

that's why I have only told a few people, even only 1 of my 5 siblings know - I don't want people giving me negative feedback!

most doctor offices will help you with the appeal process; if your doesn't, maybe another doctor will help you out. I read most appeals go through if you want to go through the hassle. There's also a book, weight loss surgery for dummies, that tells you how to appeal. hope this helps.

I got my approval today, didn't take long at all - surgery scheduled for March 29th - woohoo!!

wow, I don't know how I missed knowing about the pre-op diet! I'm waiting on my insurance approval, so after that comes in I see my doc. I guess that's when I'll start my pre-op diet. Good luck everyone - I know I'm going to need it!
