I'm discouraged also! The amount of food & calories I have each day should equal weight loss, but not happening. I'm 4 1/2 wks too; only down 5 pounds

banded on friday 30th; today diarrhea is getting more frequent. did anyone else deal with this issue, any helpful suggestions? thanks

my first day of clear liquids preop did not go well; my nephew's birthday party with way too much food to resist (my willpower sucks). Wish me luck Monday thru Thursday, surgery Friday! Thank goodness for this forum.

most doctor offices will help you with the appeal process; if your doesn't, maybe another doctor will help you out. I read most appeals go through if you want to go through the hassle. There's also a book, weight loss surgery for dummies, that tells you how to appeal. hope this helps. -
I am scheduled for March 29th - cautiously optimistic that all goes well - hubby is a wonderful support - Hopefully I go from I think I can, to I knew I could!! Could luck to all!!

I got my approval today, didn't take long at all - surgery scheduled for March 29th - woohoo!! -
wow, I don't know how I missed knowing about the pre-op diet! I'm waiting on my insurance approval, so after that comes in I see my doc. I guess that's when I'll start my pre-op diet. Good luck everyone - I know I'm going to need it!
