  1. I was just going to ask if anyone has trouble with ab exercises... I get cramps right at the port, but I guess if the doctor told u to stop that answers my question... Now what are we supposed to do to tighten the loose skin?
  2. Oh, one more thing...I would recommended if you can, do just liquids for at least 4 days before, only to get you used to having to do that. You'll be on liquids for quite a while after, then mushys. But even after fills you go on liquids for a couple days. At least that's what they have me doing. (I had my first fill yesterday) It'll get you used to only drinking your meals and not eating. Just an idea.
  3. My doctor had me on Adkins, and I didn't lose any weight until I finally had it done...I wouldn't worry to much, it looks like every doctor has their own method. Good luck to you
  4. I've been exeriencing some really sharp stabbing pain right at the port. I think it might be gas, but it hurts sooooooooooo bad. Has anyone else experienced this?
  5. I'm at 4 weeks myself and have lost 16 lbs, and like u can eat anything. I went in Thursday for my first adjustment and they were pleased with my loss. Unfortunately they didn't give me a fill cuz I pulled a muscle iny stomach where the port is so it was to swollen. I go back this Thursday to finally get it... From what I understand u should get a fill on your first appt... Good luck!!
  6. I also used True Results. They repaired a hyena which qualified me to have my insurance to pay half, so I had to do in house financing. My portion is $5500 as well.
  7. The doctor I saw yesterday said I could take Advil... What will it do?
  8. I have 800 mg of ibuprofen too... Did u have to cut it in half? The pills are kinda big. I split one yesterday to be on the safe side but since I didn't take it all at once it didn't seem to help.
  9. I went in yesterday for my first adjustment. I had a feeling they wouldnt do anything because when I got to work I started experiencing some terrible cramping in my stomach right where the port is... Was unable to stand up straight and walking was even super painful. When I went to mt appointment they said I pulled a muscle where the port is located and couldn't do a fill because if the swelling. All this caused from me switching up my exersice from walking on the treadmill to running up and down my stairs. I had no idea I would hurt myself doing that. Now I cant go to work today because if terrible muscle spasms... Has anyone else experienced something like this. I'm in so much pain right now and don't know how to get any relief.
  10. I'm so stupid for changing it up. I was so excited for today. I really want to get a fill, I really need some more restriction. But I feel so stupid walking around the office cuz I can't even stand up straight. I'm able to sit at my desk, just so long as I'm leaning forward.
  11. Thank you so much for the info...I got to work today and started cramping really really bad at the port site. I have no idea why, the only thing I've done different is run up and down my stairs yesterday instead of walking on the treadmill. I can hardly walk or stand up straight. I have a funny feeling they won't do a fill if I'm cramping like this.
  12. Oh good, I was worried that they would have to stick me a bunch of times to find where they fill it.
  13. I go in today for my first ajustment. Kinda nervous as to how they find the port and what to expect.
  14. I'm having a heck of a time going to sleep...I'm affraid to throw up, it wont hurt anything?
  15. LOL, that makes sense... How long does it take to usually go away? I'm learning so much from this site... I appreciate everyone's help.
  16. So far no it hasn't helped... Why do they say not to drink water to help? It seems like it would help.
  17. No u don't choke... When it happened to me today it was really hard to get down my throat cuz I didn't chew. Now it just feels like a blob of something in my stomach, and I feel air bubbles like I want to burp or it wants to come up but it won't.
  18. I feel like I need to burp but it won't happen...what about getting on the treadmill? Do u think walking will help?
  19. I know now what it feels like to be stuck....I was eating some deli meat at my desk at work and the phone rang, so I wasn't able to chew it up good and swolled it almost whole. Now my asophagus hurts and my stomach feels like I have a rock in it. Any suggestions on how I can get this to go down? I got to thinking about it, how does it break up and go down when there aren't any stomach acids in there to break it up?
  20. I'm 3 weeks post op and I'm not sure how I can exercise my stomach... I have such an awareness of my port and don't want to do any damage.
  21. Y'all can add me too...My user name is tsg1969.
  22. I love this site... Whenever I feel down or like I screwed up there is always someone there for positive encouragement. Thank you!!
