First Real Meal Since My Surgery...

Recommended Posts

3 weeks post op and finally got to eat real food. (not puréed or liquid) went well except I know I ate to much. I need to learn to listen to my stomach and not my mouth. I think I feel better when I'm on liquids.< /p>

What did u eat?

I went out for Mexican ate maybe 1 enchilada and a few bites of refried Beans... Oh and if course a few chips and salsa... I really can't wait for my first fill cuz I need more restriction... I normally would have been able to eat the other 2 enchilada and rice (brought the rest home to hubby) so I know I'm eatting a lot less, but I know I shouldn't have been able to eat as much as I did.

It's hard until you have a fill as you're still just relying on your willpower which many of us struggled with before this surgery (and wouldn't have needed the surgery if we had strong willpower!). Don't beat yourself up over it. Eat the rest of the time as you're supposed to and I'm sure this one meal won't derail you!

I love this site... Whenever I feel down or like I screwed up there is always someone there for positive encouragement. Thank you!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
