  1. which ever you get, please keep in mind that it is not a miracle and just having the surgery wont make anyone lose weight..complete mental changes must be made...my surgery saved my life..i hope it saves yours also..
  2. so how are *you* doing? are you okay? very concerned for and about you...
  3. thats true and sorry if anyone felt i am or was on this thread.
  4. hmm...was i rude? dont think so... i was straight forward.. apologies to anyone who felt i was rude/harsh or if my (delivery) was...i do stand by my response, to call the dr.
  5. i needed this giggle today
  6. well, i cant make out all you say either, but if he said find another doctor, then do it. ask his staff for referrals or google online or the phone book or call the local hospital and ask...but i hope you find yourself a new one and get a second opinion. i must say to gain 45 pounds is not (only) because he took a fill out but also because you ate more calories than you burned off...
  7. well wrote and well said jim just hope now people read this and realize you just gave a mini seminar in patience
  8. congrats on the wonderful news. there is a wonderful lady named katie on youtube (newtoy4kate)..i love this gal...she is banded, lost all her weight and is now pregnant and doing great with her band. go read/view her story. YOU can do this. keep your lap band doctor in the know and your baby doctor. and you, again, congrats. def made me smile today.
  9. what a wonderful start to your newly soon to be banded life those goals are very doable and not overly dramatic do what you can with what you can and with what you have now (want power) and you will be amazed at what you can do.. hell look at what you did already......a success already
  10. you learned that yes, you can do this.....and you are. you are a success story....i am most loving your blog postings.
  11. had to come and post this......when i responded earlier, i left my screen up and ole man saw it and said to me, i thought this was a lap band forum?..who wants to know how big your ole man's **** is.. sorry had to share and hope i did not offend no one by saying that....
  12. why tell them? if they ask, say you are eating better and exercising.(not lying as that is what you are doing)...and you are as you are doing so dangum fantastic and take the compliment...be prepared, they be more coming for you missy.....GREAT GREAT JOB
  13. not negative, just advising you to call and let your dr know (especially if you are concerned you hurt the band).
  14. what type/kind of meals? pizza or what? and why would you do this if you were advised to do liquids after surgery if you were.. kinda late now to be concerned.....def need to call and let your dr know and let them advise you.
  15. like mis said, follow the dr's rules/instruction and you will do fine....PS, you will eat again and you will enjoy food instead of inhaling it in case the food monster comes and gets it from your plate...
  16. any bariatric surgery is a tool to kick start weight loss, but it takes 100 percent commitment from the patient to see lasting results...if you get the band or the bypass or the sleeve or the ds, you will have to change what you eat, how much you eat and develop a whole new mental attitude from dieting letting whichever tool/ wls to help you. by someone just getting the bypass or sleeve or band and continue to overeat, it wont work. no WLS is not a miracle cure all. you have to eat better food in smaller amounts 3500 is a pound whether its ate or drank if you take in more cals than you burn off, you gain weight so whichever you get and follow the instructions as given its up to you if you are a success or not best of luck in whatever you decide in what works for you.
  17. not really but it made me smile picturing it (as in the past i probably would not be a heffer if i did throw it across the room)......but sure when i make good food, case in point, made awesome chili and lordy it is soooooo good........and i in my head know i want to eat like 2 or 3 bowls but i cant.....the band/plication wont let me and if i did go over my allottment, i would be very uncomfortable......
  18. .......not real food....and def these people are amazed at your want power.... keep it up and soon they will be going dang girl.......tell me how .....
  19. i see no worse case scenario. gives you time to get your head into game and develop want power...let us know how the sleep study goes. it wasnt so bad except the goop in my hair crap.....anyhow hang in there
  20. wow oh wow.....how fantastic you LOOK and how great you are doing...cant wait to see more (pictures)...this is a wonderful motivator
  21. to those who (judge or have an opinion i say screw em) but like you, i worry about the outside and what the world sees. what normal people will see, and what i see and what you ARE right this very moment, is a beautiful person who is making herself well... and if you can only do 5 minutes or 10, so what... at least you did it.........that shows you got want power and that is 98% of the battle...look where you started...and where you are now. walk in there and get her done.........
  22. i am gonna call mine the pink zone...
