  2. sharon, i so needed to read this post from you. thank you.....love the new pic GF......one sexy/hott woman
  3. well, i can say mine doesnt bug me i touch it when i walk sometimes or when i wake up its my extra tool that saved my life......it is the reason i am walking again..it is the reason i am 100+ pound lighter....think of it in a positive light..if you can....hub teases me and says when i lose all that i need to, it will pop out like when a thanksgiving turkey is done.....such a crack up...
  4. when i was on mushies, i used my vitamixer alot. i loved and still do eat refried Beans, mixed with salsa and shredded cheese. and i blended til (applesauce texture while on mush). hope this helps you..
  5. did your dr advise you what meds you can or cant take? from my understanding it is no nsaids but each dr is different. do you have liquid tylenol you can take until you ask your dr what meds you can take
  6. to begin a journey, you have to make that first huge step. you have done so. so keep on stepping forward. this is for you and about you getting well..YOU will meet the requirements and YOU will do what you need to do to make it happen. this is YOU.
  7. to gain weight, you must eat calories. 3500 calories is a pound. if you eat or drink that and more, you will gain...to lose weight, you have to eat less calories than you can burn off. nudie is correct, please refer to your nutritionist to see what to eat/not to eat and how to make better choices. (say no to processed foods/fast foods/sodium filled snacks) say YES to lean proteins/veggies and fruit and drink alot........best of luck to you hon.
  8. i would ask your dr as they would be the ones who could offer you better advise in my opionion. alot depends on the person, their physicals, their weight etc...i took 8 days off for a desk job..
  9. i had a smidge on my port incision which was the largest. doctor said it was fine and not to worry. i say if you are concerned, do what i did and call and let your dr know and have them ease your mind.
  10. I use Gain soap powder for laundry. But came across this. I may give this a try to see what happens. And this requires no cooking and is low-sudsing. QUICK AND EASY LAUNDRY DETERGENT 3 tablespoons borax 3 tablespoons washing soda 2 tablespoons Blue Dawn Ultra Find a 1-gallon container with a tight-fitting lid. Pour in the borax, washing soda and liquid Dawn. Add two cups of very hot Water. Apply the lid and shake until the soda and borax have dissolved. Now, fill the container with cold water. Reapply the lid and label the container. To use: Add 1 to 2 cups to each load of laundry depending on the size and soil levels. This recipe multiplies well, so I make 3 gallons using this conversion, which is slightly more concentrated: 3/4 cup borax 3/4 cup washing soda 3/4 cup Blue Dawn Ultra You can experiment with the amount to use in my high-efficiency, high-capacity, heavy-duty LG Wave Force washer. For smaller loads, you could cut back accordingly.
  11. and you can also do this by using salsa as the liquid with chicken and add onions/peppers/etc to make this crock pot version. just another thought
  12. i havent had a fill yet, but i am glad my dr only does fluro fills. they do a fluro xray every 3 months (i swallow some grape tasting liquid) and they take a picture of it. i sit in a big dentist chair. they bring a round plate shaped/sized xray to my tummy and snaps a picture. kinda kewl.
  13. you are only a (failure) if you stop trying or give up.
  14. this sounds yummy here is a thought..since pineapple is sweet anyway, you can/could leave out the sugar all together...just a thought..def something i will try to make in the near future. good job eye candy
  15. jim, so very proud of you my friend. you will always be my inspiration.
  16. seems you are doing amazing. miss is right about maybe seeing a nutritionist and get their opinions. but I see you as a success and just because the scale is not moving as fast/quick as it once was, does not mean it is not working now. this to shall pass.
  17. i was a binger (especially during tough times)..struggling with that right now (although i am not doing it, its never far from my mind)..... i was also bulemic in high school......i binged big time and then purged and also abused exlax for a long time....therapy def helped but what helped me most was realizing what i was doing to myself and then seeking help. id never lecture you as i know what you are feeling. but like TMF said, you stand at fridge and you make the decision to eat or not. i do that every day.....i am stronger than that bag of lays bbq chips and a case of coors light...sure it would taste awesome......but afterwards i'd feel like SH*T if you feel a binge, what i do is, walk, read or take a bath or give myself a time out or post on this forum i am not sure if my answer is what you were looking for but its the one i wanted to post just the same...please take care of yourself and your band as you are the only one who can do that.
  18. oh AJ, this is a most pretty picture. look how big it is i love flowers i really do. thanks for sharing.
  19. AJ and Laura was right....and you did (not gain weight) you did just fine. you lost water and since you started feeding your body again, it equaled out...please dont stress so bad.....your feeling better and getting back to (normal) is what matters....
  20. each dr and each person is different. i eat when i am hungry in my allotted amounts. sometimes it could be 3 meals a day and then some it could be 2....i snack but its a protein filled item or some fruit..your doctor and nutritionist will offer you what they think works for you.what works for me may not work for you or be what your doctor wantsyou to do....its kinda hard as variances with food/people are so different to give you an exact calorie count etc....my suggestion is to ask alot of questions, and follow your doctors suggestions. best of luck.
  21. hasnt affected mine (in a bad way)....in fact its made it better? how so?? because i am loosing, i am gaining some self confidence back...and there is nothing sexier than a woman who works it with a pair of high heels and nothing else but feels like a goddess no matter what her weight.....if you feel good inside, it shows on the outside...
  22. jean as normal, what a wonderful article. let me say from my experience ONLY. as this is what happened to me. i went from overweight, to fat, to obese, to morbid obese to super morbid obese. it was a journey to get there and now a journey to get out of that situation i put myself in. thank heavens i was able to have wls to help me with this. and jean, you help me each/every day. thanks for the great postings. as always
  23. I hope that when he looks into your eyes, you see you are sexy babe no matter what. Now details next post GF
