  1. I'm 3 weeks out and mine can be felt pretty well...but not really seen, that I've noticed. Wouldn't hurt to ask your doctor about it though.
  2. I'm doing the same thing but I done in tomorrow for a fill. yay!
  3. Awesome! Congratulations!
  4. I was banded on 1/25! Had an interesting mistake with measuring my foods incorrectly and thereby having an adjustment when I didn't really need one. Oh well, I go for my 3 wk checkup on Wednesday and am hoping to get back to "feeling" restricted. Good Luck and blessings everyone!
  5. I had it too my first week....quite often. My doctor said its normal...those abdominal muscles are healing from being "stabbed". However, as the swelling in my abdomen has subsided so has the pain. Its only every now and then. However, you should still consult with your doctor just to make sure.
  6. Thanks Amica813 for the encouragement! My doctor had me on a fairly quick schedule post-op. 2 days of liquids, 2 days of mushies and then onto regular-consistency...if my body could handle it. I've been back and forth on the different textures. I was just disappointed that I couldn't go in today and "get back to where I started". Oh well..perseverence one day at a time! Thanks all.
  7. I got my band on 1/25. I went in a week later for an adjustment to loosen just a bit because I thought I wasn't eating enough. 24 hours later, I realized what a mistake I had made because I realized I had been measuring my food wrong...by weight instead of volume. So...for four days, I've been eating the full cup of food allowed for me, and two hours later, I'm hungry. I thought I might be able to go in today but the doctor said no. I have to wait a week and a half until my 3-week post-surgery check-up. I feel like an idiot. I'm worried about eating too much and not losing anything. Trying to remind myself of positives, but I'm wondering if anyone else has done this?
  8. I had mine the week prior to surgery and then it started again 4 days after (which was last Sunday.) I'm over this already but my doctor said its normal and can be caused by the anesthesia.
  9. I am a week out from surgery and had my first "unfill" today. Just the slightest bit removed was awesome! I can breathe now. Does everyone follow the "24hours of liquids after an adjustment" rule?

  11. My doctor's guidelines are the same as yours. I think it may have to do with what they've found in their own patients, that seems to work. I don't know that for sure..just my thoughts. I will say that in following that guideline this week (had my surgery on Wednesday), I'm finding that I can't eat a full 1/2 cup of food and I may go back to liquids/shakes for a couple of days just to make sure all the swelling is down.
