  1. The only one I really like is the Chocolate Splendoe "Unjury" shake. I can't taste any grit like most do. It actually taste like chocolate milk to me.MMM You have to order it online and my doctor's office gave me a few packs to try before hand. I also like the Slim Fast To Go shakes, but I was told that they have too much sugar content in them, unless you can find the Carb version, which I have not found yet anywhere.
  2. What kind of Chewable vitamin did you get? The pharmacist told me to get one a day and the pills are way too big and I hate the tast of crushed pills.
  3. Congrats. I go in Wednesday for mine. Can't wait for the change. MMM, I think.lol
  4. I like the Chocolate "Unjury" shake. I tried a couple different ones from GNC and thought they were way over priced and couldn't tolerate them much to be honest.
  5. I'm sure many of you have felt this way before you had your surgery, but since I started a pretty much liquid diet of soups, protein shakes and yogurt, I have been consuming around 700-850 calories a day. I am now extremely exhausted and at times feel light headed, more than likely from the huge drop in food intake I'm sure. Any advise how to get through the next few days till surgery. I also work and go to school and am afraid that this may be a huge problem after surgery. Especially with my classes, I need plenty of energy and brain power to get through my classes.
  6. And I thought my Pizza days were over:( Thanks, now I am feeling a bit better about this process, that maybe i just might be able to enjoy a little of my favorite things again one day
  7. I am less than a week away from surgery and was told to take in 80G of protein as well as a list of soups, broth and a few items such as yougurt cottage cheese even a salad of veggies only as long as I stay with a 6- 1/2 cup serving portions a day. The problem is with no chicken, fish or beef I am not getting close to the 80g of protein and my calories for a day are around 600-800. I drink either an Unjury shake or Slim Fast in the morning and a greek yogurt throughout the day, but I feel like I am missing something. Any suggestions on getting my 80g of protein and what have you been told as far as calories for the week before? Last week I was on a 1400 calorie, there is no way I could do that with this weeks plan. Lisa
  8. Wow, thats great. I didn't realize you could lose that much so quickly. Can't wait till I get banded next week:) Keep up the good work.
  9. Hi, my name is Lisa. I looked into this about 2 years ago and decided this past summer to re-visit the thought of having the Lap Band after many failed attempts before. I am 7 days away from having surgery and am really looking forward to starting a healthier life. At 43, I never imagined that I would be on 2 blood pressure pills, cholesterol meds and have constant back and knee pain that prevented me from enjoying the things I like to do. I am hoping that once this process starts, I will beging feeling like my old self again, before I gained all this weight:(. Today I started a liquid diet, so far so good, except for all the rumbling sounds, otherwise it's not too bad yet. Any suggestions would be great. I have pretty much stocked my cabinets with soup, broth and Shake powders for the next month. Yumm I guess my husband is on his own now for awhile. LOL Other than that, it has become a count down and I am so ready. This past year has been kind of a hectic time for our family. My son is deployed in Aphganistan, I returned to college after 20 years to start a new career and I am helping my son and his GF, plan their wedding this coming September. Hopefully by then I will have lost enough weight to finally feel good about myself and be able to go dress shopping. Wish me luck
