  1. I completley understand and was right there where you are a week ago before I found out I got approved. Keep the faith and think possitive! It will happen for you
  2. Well I have finally calmed down from finding out I was approved. That was surely the longest 7 days of my life. I felt like a little kid again waiting for Christmas! So as I sit here tonight I'm feeling pretty good and have just been going through all the forums for insight on how my life is going to change. I am super happy but also trying to stay realistic in my own personal journey and knowing the weight is not just going to fall off overnight. Darn!! HaHa! I ordered 2 books today from Amazon and am excited for those to come. I am planning on going out and purchasing the Magic Bullet unless someone can suggest a better food processor?! I just like the "convenience look" of it but I've heard some say it leaks. I plan on starting my own personal blog page to have for day 1 banded and beyond. For me, I think it's important to referee back to where I was when I feel like I'm having a bad day. Exactly 1 year ago I was 60lbs lighter than I am now due to HCG shots and although it was a quick fix I wish I would have journaled how good I felt. Of course I gained it all back and then some. Ahhhhhh, the things we do for vanity. I am looking forward to finally embarking on a journey that will stay with me for a lifetime! Life is good!
  3. Praying for you and wishing you so much luck!!
  4. The 6 months goes by super fast! Keep us posted!!
  5. Thank you all for your words of encouragement! I truly appreciate it. I am a little better today, I mean I haven't cried today at least! Lol! I am going to start calling my insurance everyday starting Monday. Praying, praying, praying!!
  6. Tonight as I sit here and type this I am an emotional wreck! I started my journey to get a Lapband back in January of 2011. I had no idea what I was in for just to get an approval from my insurance. Fast forward to today, August 3rd, 2012. My paperwork was finally submitted this morning and now I sit here and wait and wait and wait for the answer. This so far has truly been the hardest and worst part. My surgrey is scheduled for August 15th and to come this far and be denied would devastate me. I'm such a happy go lucky, possitive person but this feeling I have of the unknown is seriously breaking me down. I just hope that in 2 weeks I look back at this blog after my band and tell myself how silly I was to be so stressed. I'm crossing every part of my body and praying like no other!! God give me the strength to endure this waiting process!!
  7. I'm in Portland and being banded by Patterson on August 15th. Still waiting on my approval from insurance. It's so nerve racking!!!
  8. I have to agree with Gonnabeslim1day! I started the process in December and just found out today that I had to do the 6 month supervised dietician before my insurance will give the full OK. Although I was a bit let down because I am ready now, I think it will just help better prepare me for life with the Lapband after all is said and done. I too have reservations about going all the way through the 6 months and then being denied but my clinic assured me after talking with my insurance that I wouldn't have any problems as long as I maintained the weight I'm at now. I am waiting for the scheduling gal to call and set up my first appointment. I am so ready to start this journey!! 6 months will fly by. Good luck to everyone!!! It's definitely a process but one that I have faith and confidence will be worth the wait!
