Good Luck! I was told my insurance fully covered the surgery and then I got an $82,000 bill which insurance covered most of it but a little over $4,000.. So I was not expecting to even get that amount

When I was in the hospital, they gave me a multi-vitamin and before I saw it I asked if it was chewable. The nurse looked at me like I was crazy. It was the swallow kind and I had always read you shouldn't/couldn't take whole pills, etc.. It went down fine. However, at home I have chewable centrum, chewable calcium and liquid B complex.

My dr did not require me to be under a certain weight in fact, they called me to tell me to begin the pre-op diet and didn't see me again until I was in the OR. Some doctors don't require a pre-op diet at all. My Dr's office had me start the diet before I had my approval since I knew what day I wanted to have my surgery on but we had a date already picked out.

Every insurance is different but I got my approval back in 3 days which my Dr office said was amazingly quick. If you have a sit down job, I would say a week is plenty of time off. Just make sure you get up frequently to walk around/stretch your legs. Good Luck!

I was banded in SA at the Nix on March 9th but live in Killeen. No one here knows that I had the surgery. Where did you get banded?

I was banded on March 9th and on surgery day I weighed in at 277.. My scales this morning show 245 so in about 2 1/2 months, I have lost 32 pounds.

I don't have any problems with them but I don't eat them too often.

I ran all of my Nortons and scans again.. So now I am able to reply.. (Hope this posts). I am on internet explorer 7, btw...

I have Tricare Prime and was told they covered the whole surgery. However, I have a bill saying I owe over $4,000 ... Hoping my issue is the same as yours, that something just wasn't coded right

I had my 4th fill last week and am finally in the green zone. I can go almost all day then it will hit me, "hey you haven't eaten today"... I still have the bad habit of eating too fast and thats usually just at work since I get very little time to eat.. My band definitely tells me when I have had too much and/or too fast. The weight (to me) seems to be coming off slower and slower. However, my Dr is happy with what I am doing so far... Despite these past week and half, I have lost my motivation/interest in exercising. I am hoping once things calm down at work, I will have more desire/energy to exercise again.

I do! I get 30 minutes for lunch and the past two days, my time hasn't been the whole 30 mins. so I rushed to eat.. Then it hit me, ouch! My band quickly reminded me to slooooow down. I am always on the go and I definitely need to pay more attention.

I chose not to tell anyone at work. Only my immediate family know about the surgery. The reason I didn't tell coworkers is b/c I know how bad they talk about people and look down on others for the slightest reason. When I came back from time off from the surgery, I just casually mentioned that I had hernia repair. Telling or not telling is a personal decision and only you know your situation. For me, I know nothing good would come from me telling anyone.

I am definitely not an expert but sounds like you are too tight. If you are vomiting after that amount, it could be too much restriction. I got my 4th fill on Monday and I can definitely tell this round that I got it. I am eating way less and feeling full much longer.

This is my fourth fill... I have had to really control myself before and I could eat anything/any amount.

How are you feeling? I had a lot of gas pain in my neck and jaw after the surgery. Don't know how he is with you but with me, he hardly ever talks! However, this last time, he said more words than all times combined. lol

I got a fill yesterday and I think I might finally be in the "green zone"?? Or is it too soon to tell? Yesterday and today, I have eaten half of what I have been eating since the surgery.

I am not in the "green zone" yet but hope to be soon. I am a little over 2 months out from surgery and I keep it at the most 1000 calories, 60-80 grams of protein and around 60 carbs. I wish I was one of those that had restriction so easily but I am not. So until then, I count and watch everything I eat.

I have Tricare Prime South and I was required an overnight stay. I also got a surprise bill from them as well. Tricare did NOT cover the whole procedure. I owe over $4 thousand and wasn't expecting it either a bill either.
