  1. Two days before surgery my doctor had me take milk of magnesia to flush my bowels
  2. hey i was banded on 2/22 and I know it seems like forever to be on liquids but it will get better I promise I was put on a liquid diet for three weeks and when i went back two weeks are surgery he said I can now move to the mushie stage so give yourself time to heal you were only banded 4 days ago you still have alot of swelling just hang in their it will get better I have lost 25lbs since my surgery so it will be worth it in the long run don't forget slow and steady wins the race

  5. good luck Mrs D I amso sorry to hear that this is mot working for you but getin the infection under contol is all you should be thinking about maybe after you are well you can consider othr options my prayers are with you

I was banded on 2/22 I checked in at 6am and checked out at 2pm the next day...I was in alot of pain the first few day and needed help geting in and out of bed but by day five I was feeling much beter I did no have any gas pain:clap2: like everyone else but I did stack up on gasx strips. Today make 3 weeks since my surgery and I am feeling great lost 25lbs so far so all and all it was worth it
  7. welcome to band land make sure to get the walking in as much as you can it help me alot I am 16 days out and feeling good another thing that help is the heating pad good luck with the healing stage

I am two weeks post op today and have lost 23lbs so far my problem is I don't know what else to eat, I had my follow up with my DR yesterday and he told me I can move on to the mushie stage even thou I was to be on liquids for three week. I do find that I am getting more hungry:hungry: as the swelling goes down also I will be going back to work soon and need to know what to pack for lunch Please someone help me out....thanks so much

  11. I know the feeling I am on day 8 and feeling the same way but I just keep telling myself that this too shall pass...thy sipping on somthing every 15 mins or so this helps me alot.... also what help is eating every two hrs so the beast wont take over hang in there it get better...i hope
  12. I wore yoga pants sweat shirt and flats..No make up or lotion..I pack a change of under wear and jogging bra and something to pull my hair back chap stick and cough drops and a bath robe which helps because those open gown dont fit so well
  13. hey Halloween 2124 I am also 5 days post op and so far I am able to eat egg drop soup/protein skake with banana/crystal light/sugar free jello/sugar free popsicle/very runny creamy of wheat/with dried blueberry cook into it for flavor and then strain out/lots of water/vegetable soup and chicken soup puree with a hand blender and I am not hungry maybe it you sipsipsip all day in between each meal this will help for you

I was banded on th 22nd of feb and I am not going back to work until the 22nd o march I took a whole month off becuse I wanted to give my self time to heal I do have a desk job but I am required to move around alot i say better to be safe than sorry take all the time you can to et back to your old self no need to rush you might do more harm than good

  17. alt....my dr told me to make sure to sip sip sip you dont want to get dehydrated sorry about the spelling and end up in the hospital again and make sure to keep moving it will help with the gas pains whoever said get a heating pad my god bless you its been my best friend hope you are doing well

  19. hello I was banded on 2/22 so I am two day post-op so far so good my husband/kids are taking good care of me the pain is not too bad and I sleap ok last night I am so tied and can only take in about 2oz at a time MY doctor had me walking within hours of the surgery which is good because it made me feel alot better I try to walk at least three time a day so far I am doing ok...I did have one problem I COULD NOT pee and the doctor would not release me until I could pee on my own...did anyone else had this problem?

I AM FINALLY BANDED..I JUST GOT HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL ...AND FEELING LIKE I WAS KICKED IN THE GUT BY A 1000 MULES....I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU GUYS KNOW AND ALSO SAY THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT....I WILL POST ALL THE DETAILS WENT I CAN SIT UP......BUY FOR NOW I AM GOING TO TAKE SOME PAIN MEDS AND GET SOME SHUT EYE:notagree

  22. way to go that's great keep it up It's so nice to hear such success stories their is hope for the unbanded how long did it take you to loose all the weight ?and what did you eat?
