3 Month Check Up
I really need to exercise more. It's really hard to get into. Not a great excuse.

3 Month Check Up
Hey everyone, I got great news from my surgeon. I have lost 32% of my weight and according to their scale 50 pounds in 14 weeks. My BMI is now 43. So exciting. I have never felt so good in my life. The only thing is the NUT told me I could only have 5 g carbs per meal. I want more carbs! Oh well, at least I am losing weight.

1 Week Stall - What?
I was doing well my first 2 weeks with the weight loss. Then the infamous stall hit me at the beginning of the third week. I was the same weight for 10 days and thought I would never lose weight again. Now week 14 I am 45 pounds down. Don't worry, you are gonna hit stalls. I find that I won't lose for a week, then all of a sudden I will lose 2-3 pounds another week.

First Stall, Getting Discouraged :(
Hey, I had my surgery on December 7th and have lost 43 pounds. I lost 21 pounds that first month, but I did have a stall by the third week. I was annoyed. I am still losing and sometimes I go a week without losing weight. I know it is frustrating, but you are going to lose the weight. You seem to have done well so far. You just need to keep doing what you are doing. Maybe lay off the crackers. My surgeon has me on 400-600 calories until I lose 75% of my weight. I guess some doctors are different with what they want others to do.

Awesome, keep up the good work and thanks for the reply!- Finally 220's
I am finally in the 220's. Even though it is 229.8, i have finally made it. I haven't been in the 220's since I had my son 7 years ago. I know it's not onderland, but I am happy with my weight loss so far. I have lost 43 pounds and feel better and happier than ever and don't regret having surgery. This is the best decision I have ever made for me.- A Great Week! 4 Biggies Including Weighing Less Than My Husband!
I finally weigh less than my husband also. Isn't a great feeling- Getting Sleeved On 3/19/12 And Getting Anxious!
I think it's great that you are doing this and not letting anyone tell you differently. Don't let anyone get you down. I think you need to be honest with your husband though. He's going to realize anyway that it won't be easy if he happens to do it. What if he decides not to do it?- Pre-Op Surgery Date 3/23/12
Good luck!- Time Of The Month During Your Surgery?
When they wheeled me into the room right after the surgery the nurses said I just started. They said that the stress of the surgery could bring it on. I was like "Oh great." It's no big deal.- One Year Ago Today I Changed The Course Of My Life
Way to go! You look great and keep up the good work.- If I Can Do It, You Can Do It.
Very well said and feel the same way. I don't regret having the surgery either and feel so much better. I haven't really started exercising either and need to start. I have lost 40 pounds in 3 months and have more energy. Keep up the good work.- Six Months Out - 85.4 Pounds Gone
Yes, WOW!- By Myself For Recovery
My husband was with me for the day of surgery and then had to go back to work the next day. I got him back with me on the Friday before I was discharged. I was home for 2 weeks for work and was fine on my own. I was very sore, but I was able to get through that. The pain for me was when I was getting up. So, It was tolerable.- 2 Weeks Out And Not Loosing
I lost 7 on the pre op diet and lost alot the first 2 weeks and then hit a stall right before the third week started. I was irritated greatly by this and thought that I wouldn't lose any more weight. I was in a stall for a week and a half. I started losing again after that. You will hit stalls and then start losing again. THere is no need to fret, just get protein in and drink your fluids. I am nine weeks out and have lost 35 pounds. Don't worry and everything will be fine.- Time Off From Work
I was out from work for only 2 weeks. I am a case manager and travel to see clients, so my work isn't too bad.- Craving Badly
So...yesterday was quite interesting. I have been pretty good about cravings but yesterday it wass bad. It's like my brain had mind of it's own. I went to my neighbors spa party and she had cupcakes, chips and dip, and cookies. I so desperately wanted the sweets, but I stayed away. I did have 2 chips and a teeny amount of dip. I ate the chips and didn't have much of the dip. I think that started the big time cravings. I came home and had a veggie burger with cheese and later I had another piece of cheese. I woke up this morning a pound up. I will be staying away from chips from now on. I know I didn't mess things up too much, but I just don't like gaining weight.- Continuing "success" - How Do You Do It?
That is so awesome! I can't wait to get there myself. You look really good.- Does anyone ever feel like we took the "easy way" out?
I agree! When I stood up for the first time I was expecting lots of pain. When I finally stood I was like, Whoa, a c-section hurts worse than this. Yes, I still had some pain but it was manageable.- Allergic Reaction Post-op -- Could It Be Whey?
I got the whey protein Nectar that was called Fuzzy Navel that I started taking pre op. It made me break out and I was itchy. I was worried that I had an allergy to the whey protein. The Dr. said that I should try a different type. He didn't think I was allergic to the whey. I tried the kiwi strawberry and then had the chocolate truffle without any problems. It was just the type I seemed to be allergic to. You might want to talk to the dr and see what he says. Good luck.- Gastric Sleeve Surgery In Tennessee
Hey everyone, I am close to four weeks post op and have started my stage 3 diet of soft foods. It's going pretty well so far. I have lost 22 pounds and am quite happy. I could only eat one egg and nothing else this morning. I had some chicken with cheese and sour cream for lunch. I am not all that hungry. I guess that's the point.- Thinking Of Revising From The Band To Sleeve
I love my sleeve. My surgery was almost four weeks ago and I have lost 22 pounds so far. I considered getting the lap band, but realized the sleeve was the better option. I hope things go well for you. - Finally 220's
