Super Depressed :(
I felt the same way you were feeling. I went through the six month diet and was just yearning for it to be over. Well, it finally ended and went faster than I thought. Keep you head up and just know that YOU WILL LOSE THE WEIGHT. I felt awful for a long time too and hated buying clothing for myself too. There were days where I just wanted to stay in bed and not shower at all. But, good luck to you and keep up your spirits.

11 Day Post Op Dr's Appt - Doc Thinks I Should Have Lost More Weight.
I think you are doing great. Everybody loses at a different rate and I don't think he needs to judge you. You will lose the weight. It is just going to take time. Keep your chin up and just follow the rules by getting in your protein and fluids.

Why Did You Choose The Sleeve Over The Others?
I didn't want malabsorption or my insides re routed. I thought this was the best surgery for me because will still have a full functioning stomach. I just have to eat smaller rations. I had heard bad things about the lap band like pro lapse and not being able to eat solid foods. I had a friend that would throw up every time she ate. Everything for her had to be mushy.

I Am 5'1" And 235 Pounds Pre- Surgery
Hey, I am 5'1" and was 273 lbs. I am almost 5 months post op and I feel great. I have lost almost 60 lbs and don't have anymore pain. I lost 21 lbs in the first month with an 8 day stall included. I have more energy and don't get winded when I climb steps. The clear liquid diet was the hardest to go through. I did that for 2 weeks and then did full liquids. It was 7 weeks before I had any solid food. Right now I eat just fine and know when I need to stop eating. Let me know of any questions you have.

Anticipating A Denial
I think some insurance companies have 30 days to approve. Mine approved me at 2.5 weeks, so don't fret.

Me And My Relationship With Cereal Has To End! Ugh!
My Nut said I could only have 5 grams of carbs per meal. That would be about 15 gr total. In my opinion, I think it's rather low so I don't always stick to it.

2 Year Anniversary
How long did it take you to lose all your weight? I am four months out and have lost 54 lbs and would love to lose everything by my one year anniversary, but won't obsess over it if I don't. I have to lose 150 lbs.

A Little Unclear
Everyone is so different. I am surprised at one week post op he said to start solids, but maybe he has had success doing this. Good luck to you and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Can You Keep Losing Weight After A Year
I have heard that your weight loss will slow after a year for the sleeve. I am hoping to reach goal but at the rate I am going I don't think I will lose all 150 pounds by a year. I have lost 54 pounds but am worried I won't lose all the weight. Give me good news.

No Drinking With Food .... Why?
It feels uncomfortable for me if I drink too soon after eating, like an over full feeling.

3 Weeks Away And Worried
You will have cravings, but they lessen with time. I had them early on after surgery and that's when I realized how obsessed I was with food. It gets better. I still crave, but after I eat my protein, I don't crave as much because I get full fast. You won't have a choice in the beginning with all the fluids that you will have to drink. Your stomach won't be able to handle much anyway. You are going to have to learn how to cope without eating what you want.

Awesome Nsv
I was driving around today in the car and looked down. I suddenly realized my stomach no longer touches the steering wheel. It was far, far, far away and I mean far away. I couldn't believe. Losing 53 lbs really is something. Surgery was December 7th 2011 and I feel so awesome. WhooHoo. Keep rocking your sleeves everyone.
