i also have united and they required the "Works", the six month supervised "diet". which i gained instead of losing.. n the evaluations n etc.. but got my approval and my surgery date march 5 woop woop for the sleeve.. hear too many negatives about the band..

oh man i put in two weeks at work, i hope i can handle it.. my friend who got the bypass requested 3 weeks.. i am getting sleeved so maybe two weeks?.. good question

First let me start off by saying AAAAAAAH, I cant Be my surgery is on March 5!!.. Now that I screamed my lungs out, reality is hitting me very slowly.. I just turned 22 on the 28th of january, and thanked God that i was really healthy growing up, in a way that if we cut out the part of always being obese since childhood, started when i was 5 really.. so we kick that out, n i could say that i was a normal healthy kid, just bigger than others.. Reality is sinking in, never had the chicken pops, never had restless nights with fevers and all that throwing up and runny bowel movements we have growing up, from germs everywhere, or from being around other kids.. Dont have high blood pressure, don't have diabetes, don't have any medical health problems that come with being obese.. Thank God... but now that i am 22, n i am looking around me towards other obese people, knowing what they are going thru, and seeing it in my family.. made me think of weight loss surgery.. only because i have struggled all my life since 9 to lose weight, tried everything, n nothing, the weight i loss i would gain back 5x.. But i am scared because of my first of everythings i never thought that in the category of surgeries in lifespan, that my first was not c-section- or apendix- or gall bladder... or tonsels-- but gastric sleeve surgery!.. It just slapped me in the face. even now i am thinking " wow u are really going through with this, u are almost there, dont back down"! I want to live a good life, i want to do things i would have done, but going to do it better with a new body!.. finally get on all the rides at the fair without having to think that oh but will i fit in this one, or wat if i slip out n this thing cant hold my weight.. going to fit into clothes i would never even thought of fitting, even though i tried, n squeezed my self into lol.. u too lol.. so little by little i will have to learn for the rest of my life, how to maintain n keep a healthier life style without going back to old habits.. i hope the 2 weeks arnt that bad for me, for i love food, but dont we all lol.. n for the greater good success is only months away!!! cant wait for summer, here in miami is soo hot

cool, i am 42 d n mines just....well it needs a bra to hold it theses up.. i hope they get perky or slim down well lol.. or shrink well lol.. i don't want any plastic surgery..

yay it sure is n i am loving ur after pics man o man i cant wait!!! how long after surgery did u go to work? i just got promoted n i dont want to all of a sudden be gone for 3 to 4 month i am thinking about just taking two weeks.. do u think that its enough time atleast to stand and walk for 8 hours? its not a sit down job.. load is walking as lil bending moderate lifting..

I have been waiting patiently for more than six month to hear that "Oh were already Approved" After completing my six month of Nutritional visits, and having done all my blood work and scans, i go to my last visit to tell me that i need to do a sleep study.. omg my schedule n stomach turned out so bad because i thought that by now i would get my approval and surgery date.. uugh.. so in a moment of stress n depression, after doing my sleep study, i call three days later, speak to the receptionist regarding my case, and she tells me i have to wait up to two weeks for them to get the results. I ask her do u know who i am, since a lot of people call, she assures me she knows who i am, i hand up n ask God if its upon your approval for me to get this surgery, i will wait for that call... no even 2 mins out, and the clinic calls me, i quickly answer, and all i hear, you had already been approved even after i told u to do the sleep study!!!.. wow. really, regardless of all the time and money i wasted here n there, i finally can breath because i was APPROVED!!! n my next visit is on Wednesday!! woo hoo so happy guys, its really finally happening for me! I Thank God for the biggest support, my mom, and best friend, and this forum! My decision on not letting anyone know about my surgery had taken a toll on me without knowing, i have become so distant and depressed, and jailed inside.. but now i can begin to breath again!!! AMEN!!!! Glory Hallelujah !

the only person i have told are my parents, my bff and a friend of mines who we initially talked about doing surgery, he recently got sleeved, him being a month ahead of me, i am pending on my last appointment for everything could be in place with the insurance. My bff has diabetes, the same age as me and has a child.. along with diabetes she gets high blood pressure and excessive migraines n other medical stuff, but more problematic is the diabetes... i told her about me doing the surgery.. but i feel that ever since then we have not been the same as we were.. She does not judge me, but at the same time she feels like "oh you were doing it, you lost 50 pounds before", well that was my first time losing so much weight, n guess what i gained it back, n its been hard to lose it the second, third, fouth, fifth omg many of times!!!.. n you guys have head of this " getting surgery is like the easy way out, like quieting!".. so far we have small talk here n there, she was around 270 with the baby 285 after n got diagnosed n lost a whole bunch of weight, she is currently around 170.. idk how she lost all that weight, in so little time.. but she asumes that i can do the same thing too.. but her weight loss is not so healthy because she is getting worst, always in the hospital... i am young she is young, but i dont want to end up like her so there is no questioning the sleeve!!!.. i dont want to be pregnant with 260 on me!.. so yes friends do change!!

i cant wait for this Thursday my last appointment for my insurance with my nutritionist!.. can not wait for my list woop woop

i love P90x, last summer of 2010 i was on p90x like crazy n it helped me lose most of my weight, from 247 to the lowest of 197.. it slimmed down n toned up my arms, thighs and omg my roles were gone from my back n front n i could see stomach definition i had the ab line and all i was so happy. its hard yes but like he says if u can do 1 or 2 push ups today u can try for one more tomorrow until u can do all reps. so just pause n hit play, don't hit stop until Ur done, and drink lots of water!.. i had a great experience with this program, just this past January i gained most of my weight back, but that was my fault got stressed, working and going to school, family death n loads of problems.. but the program is awesome i love it, and i am currently back on it, trying to lose 15 pounds before Jan 19 which is my last weight in before surgery!..

i wanted to get a breast lift put does that effect breast feeding in the future? i don't have kids now but when i have them in the future i want to breast feed.. so i guess i will have to wait?..

my last apt with my nutritionist is on Jan 19 so i am hoping everything gets submitted fast because i cant wait!!! so excited
