i also gained weight during my six month evaluation, and the week before my pre op liquid diet i went to all of my favorite restaurants and gorged away, not too much but just to remember the taste hmmm lol i went to taco bell had a a big chalupa with extra sour cream, a taco bell grande with extra group beef, i went to mc donalds had me a big mac, went to wendys had a bacon cheese burger n a dollar ice cream smoothie... man let me not continue i dont want to activate anyones hunger lol.. i did this before my liquid diet so dont do it after wards cus then whats the point.. i just got sleeved on monday the 5 still at the hospital since my sleeve is inflamed so i can only drink around 2.5 -3.0 oz at a time.. good luck girl n post away!

i got some from my local target, dont know how they taste like but their are multi flavored so i hope they do taste like smarties lol.. ooh walgreens just had a by one get the other 50 percent off so that would of been good.. also cvs.

I went to church today, asking God for forgiveness of all my wrong doings, not of last past weeks but of everything, even if he forgave me in the past. But this Sunday was different from other Sundays. It was and is my last Sunday of being a "Fat Chick" it was going to be the last time people come up to me saying "your gaining weight again," instead of minding their own business.. lol Calm down Christian girl lol... so i asked God to guide me, and if i was making the right decision, that he would be there will me guiding the surgeon and his crew, to bless their hands for success! that if anything, i want to be in his glory! Guys when i tell you God spoke to me! I felt his presence and tears just started running through my face, my hands were raised high, and i cried thank you lord, thank you lord because he had answered me!.. no one in the church knows about my surgery, not even the pastor.. I am calmer that i now know that God is always with me, and will be there in that room with me, with his angels around me. So i am ready.. Today i went and bought two sleeping gowns for after surgery, and comfy sleepers.. and a make up bag lol.. My fridge is all pimped out with protein drinks, isopure lol i hope it taste good.. with already mixed crystal light, more jello's lol.. still got some protein shakes from my pre op, about a week worth now that my belly will no longer be hugeee. i also have some soups and other recommended items that i got from this forum Thank you all. got my gas x my vitamins , i am pretty much set for 2 weeks, nah maybe 3 cuz i bought oat meal and cream of wheat.. for my 3 week phase.. so at 6:30 am i have to be at the hospital, right now i am preparing my with me bag, which my mom is going to bring after the surgery.. i am currenlty looking at my first goal jeans which i had for a year now,, size 8 lol lets see how long it will take em to fit.. yawn... sleepy.. let me get going wow two weeks past by so fast, just the other day i was readying someone else's blog about them having their surgery n me couldnt wait for my approval date lol n Gracias Senor !! Post op weight 245 my highest weight 247 lowest weight 197 on dec 2010 2 week liquid diet, suppose to lose 17 pounds lost 15 current weight 230.2 goal weight 135-140 !! sweet

through out my six month nutritional visits instead of losing i was gaining, the nervousness of not being able to eat what i want made me eat what i want, but as soon as they put me on a two week nutritional liquid diet so far i have lost 15 pounds i have two more pounds to sit my 17lb goal for pre op, on monday march 5 yay! n i worked out 4 times within those two weeks. hope that helps

does drinking more than 4 oz stretches the pouch?

loved it, and u made a great awesome decision! yea ur closes friends can be very discouraging at times! My best friend is sometimes in tune with me, and exited for me.. then she gets "you could lose weight without the surgery!, you just got lazy and went back to your old habits", and she had the courage to say that i am looking for a quick fix. i got so bad.. and told her you know its harder with the surgery because u really have to live a new life! everything literally has to change, and adapting is hard!.. boy was i mad.. she just wants a fat friend to stand next to her.. she lost a lot of weight only because of her diabetes, and i don't want diabetes to be the reason y my body looses weight.. she is still my best friend n all, but sometimes people can be so cruel!.. so forget them because its our time!!!

i just told my mom, my best friend, and a close friend whom we had already plan to get surgery together. i did not want to tell my dad because he says no to everything, always listens to the media and his missed informed friends.. But when he found out, since i was in a out of the hospital, plus my night stay at the hospital for sleep study test, he knew something was up, when i finally told him he snapped n started offending me, and saying that i will not have the surgery lol.. i told him i am an adult now (22) and dont need them to sign a consent form for anything!.. i felt bad putting him in his place, but what the heck its my time to live now! and i am thinking about a successful future.. how am i going to be an obese nurse? or doctor?.. so there u go, also people at my job are very judgmental so i will keep it a secret from them.

man you guys are lucky!! r u guys doing this in the states? or where cuz my pre-op diet consists of Crystal light, the light one lol 5 cal per serving.. all you can eat jello.. 5cals each 4 ounce cup.. n of course the 160ca OPTIFAST tshakes 5 times a day 3 t o4 hours in between, preferably every three hours,, so um broth n creamy foods as ur diet sounds good cus i am so hungry right now so i am really craving my last shake which i am currently about to open lol.

i am on my two week liquid diet soo today i am thankful for God giving me will power to finish my last of today's shakes n even though i have thought of food lol i have not put anything in my mouth but jello n crystal light.. tomorrow will be another struggle but i am thankful for today!!!.. 03/5...surgery date!!!

Its a blessing to have you, and write a post, thanks for sharing with us, lovely how u passed n received blessing at church before the surgery, God was there in that operating room guiding the team to restore you! Congrats on ur sleeve n much more blessings on your journey!

nice my surgery date is on 3/5 i started my pre op diet today n let me tell u uugh, its hard but u can do it, i am trying to live day by day. don't think about food, like u pointed out all the positive let that motivate u not to put food in ur mouth.. follow ur doc orders its for our safely n plus it would be pounds less that we have to lose.. my doc said i have to lose 17 pounds.. 160 optifast 5 shakes a day equals to 800cal.. i work in a super center were there are food courts n a large grocery section that i pass by more than six times during my 8 hr shift.. i am home now drinking up my fourth shake, my last one will be around 9.. since its every 3 hours.. i to ate a lot last week, taco bell lol MC Donald , n went to my favorite bakery.. had me a piece of cake.. but its all forward now!.. WE CAN DO IT GIRL

I was in the same situation on Saturday, i had to fax in my medical leave form to the company i work for, and the Hr person who helped me faxed it. i asked her (my mistake because she was not even reading the paper where it says weight loss surgery small printed on the bottom) lol. Do you think two weeks is too much to ask since i just got promoted and don't want my team feeling like i am already on "vacation".. and she said its ok, and asked what are you having done.. n i rambled off n told her ooh abdominal pasty lol wth lol n she was like huh what is that.. well something told me to just tell her, she looked sincere n other than being a nice person, she could keep a secret..so i told her i am having the sleeve, and still she didn't understand, so i finally told her weight loss surgery and she goes aaaaah, really, then we sit n talk about it n she tells me she considered it but did not know how to go about it, so we talked for like 20mins, n told me to bring her a business card about the doc i go to.. so hey not so bad i guess. but when i see her again i will just remind me, please be discrete about this.. so um search something to tell ur boss, this is the only person i told in hr,/my job since she was faxing the forms for me.. but if u feel that way about ur boss dont tell him, the only people that know in my life are my mom, bestfriend, a co worker/friend that got the surgery , and now one of the hr personals, and number one God, plus this online community which i love!!!

same here, going in march 5..not ready for thoses two weeks but my mind is set on success!!!

i get trilled every time i read about weight loss, in the first month everybody seems to be losing alot of weight, what about the second month? n the following? my goal is 135-140, i was trying to calculate how long would it take me with the right exercise n nutrition...

January 19 was my last visit from the six month, then they told me i needed a sleep study Jan 30, then around the 3rd i called n told me i had to wait til they get the sleep study results, calls me back n tells me she had submitted it before i did the sleep study around the 19, so i guess it took 2 weeks maybe less.. a friend of mines did it he says in 3 to 4 days they called to tell him he was approved. so patience can be uugh lol but its worth!
