  1. Totally freaked especially cause I just had revision surgery on my port!
  2. On my last appt they submitted me to Aetna.. I was approved in 2 days and scheduled my surgery for 2 weeks out...started my pre-op that same day
  3. I had to stay overnight because my insurance preapproved saying I would be staying overnight.
  4. its hard for me to eat spicy foods and not drink anything.. the not drinking with eating and waiting 30 min after I eat to drink has cut down on me eating spicy foods
  5. I had my surgery THursday and I am having trouble getting stuff down too. I maybe get down 1 protein shake a day. I love the sf popcicles they are really good right now so I am having as many of those as I want to make sure I am taking in enough fluids. I got lightheaded and dizzy today and I think it was because I am dehydrated...keep drinking and maybe tomorrow will be better...thats what I am telling myself
  6. Not during preop I couldn't have vegetable or fruit juice too much sugar and acidity
  7. I gained during my supervised diet(3mos) with Aetna and I have no problems except overweight. they approved me in 2 days.
  8. depends on surgeon. I got my date before approval.
  9. good luck...my surgery is also on the 16th...I can't wait...I have been on liquid pre-op for 2 weeks so I am ready to eat something I actually miss fruits and vegetables. your boss is a d**k for making you get him lunch.
  10. I so understand where you are at! I am scheduled for surgery Thursday 2/16 and I have been on shakes for 2 weeks. ughh I dreamt about bacon again last night...thought I was going to eat my pillow...at least then I could chew! I keep reminding myself that this is a test for the rest of my life....if I can make it through this when I get the help of the band it will be even easier. You can do it...hang in there and 12 lbs is awesome...you will never see those 12 lbs again!
  11. I can't have fruit on my pre-op but I do use vanilla protein powder mixed with sf orange jello for a great dream cicle shake or mix it with any other sf jello
  12. I don't have my band yet...next week. but during my EGD the doc said my gall bladder is going to have to come out within the next year because of so many gallstones. He said as long as I am not having pain yet(should be on the right side of chest and arm and back) than to wait until end of year. He said he will have to pull all the fluid out of band before gallbladder surgery and it will slow my momentum that is why he would like to wait until end of year and hopefully close to meeting my goal. Good luck!
