I found them at Walgreens - I got 2 boxes - they seem rather hard to find!

That's good you'll have something to wear!! I tossed it aaaaallllllll. I decided I was just never going to be small again. (not what I WANTed, just trying to be realistic.) My smallest clothes are 22/24 which do not fit even close. That'll be fun TOSSING THEM!! WOO HOO!! Aim for those 6's baby!!!

always weigh in the AM, after you go to the bathroom and before you drink anything - however, remember, a woman's body weight can change from day to day by around 9 lbs just based on water retention.
Muscle mass the same size as a fat mass does weigh more. 10 lbs of fat takes up more room than 10 lbs of muscle.
Don't weigh every day. I'm pushing myself to actually do away with my scale for the first month. Its hard, but that's what I'm wanting to do!

Nuttin' easy about it, kid. Most people don't understand that though. Don't need to tell anyone if you don't want to. Let them wonder why you're melting away. They'll make their own assumptions. Congrats on your date!

That's great! It's an awesome feeling to check off another requirement off your pre-op to-do list.

I am here to tell you that those cravings never fully go away. I am 2 months out and still struggle with some foods. its a mental thing because of the way we have eaten all of our lives. the sleeve just help with the restriction of how much is consumed. I too thought the surgery would fix this but its really something i am having to struggle with to get over. everyone is different though and some lose the cravings right away. but most of us go through a chew it up and spit it out phase because we have to just taste it. i think there's a whole thread on that. but anyways. i wish you the best of luck and am proud you made the decision to do this for yourself! good luck! you can do anything and get through anything if you put your mind to it.

Soon you will begin your pre-op diet (I assume). You have probably said goodby to everything by now, right? Plot out a schedule between then and the start of your pre-surgery diet - after this day no more fried food, after this day no more complex carbs. It will give you something to focus on and will make it seem like you are already starting your new life.
Good Luck. My surgery was on 2/22 last year. Best day of the entire year for me.

I am getting sleeved February 8th and am also in the process of saying goodbye to foods I will no longer be able to eat after surgery. I am dreading starting the liquid diet I have to start this coming Monday, I am hoping I get used to broth and protein shakes quickly. lol

I've been scouring every inch of this forum since December 6th, and I have not heard ONE good thing about the lap band until Anderson right above me here. Use the search bar above and put in lap band and start reading. This may give you another look at the lap band vs. sleeve. Many, many, many band to sleeve conversions on here. All are soooo happy with it. Just fyi. I don't personally know much about the band. This forum is a good resource for real life experience.

I agree with the scale and I keep it in the bathroom that I do not use so I do not see it every day. Since I had my surgery on a Monday I only go in and weigh on Monday's. I for one get down when I get on the scale and I have not lost or even gained a pound or 2. Think you are a smart woman.

    I think I love you.
You have no idea the battles I have fought on this forum regarding the scale. Yes, put it away. Great decision.
Now, my other battle is Protein shakes ... one at a time.
