Hunger Hasn't Gone Away...why?
There is a lot to read on here so I admit I did not read every post in this thread, But I am wondering if anyone has mentioned that it takes a couple of months for all the grehlin to get out of the system, And the first couple of months can still bring some intense hunger pangs. It does go away though. Also, nobody noticed I had lost any weight until I hit about 90 pounds then everyone noticed. All of what you have described he is going through is normal.

Is This Long Of Stall Normal?
I stalled for six weeks near the beginning. I had to take measures to get it moving. I was following directions To the letter but, When I shaved off some carbs and increased my cardio, It all started going down again.

Pills
My instructions were to wait 6 weeks, then take nothing bigger than an m&m. Always consult your own surgeon though...

Sleeved Sept 19Th Dont Feel Restriction
Agreed. Liquids and runnier foods will not make you feel full. Once you start in on blender foods or mushy stuff or whatever your next more solid phase is.... you'll feel it. No worries.

Dallas Surgeon
They do. If you bug them enough, they will find the password for you, but in my doped up, post anesthesia state, i'll be darned if I could figure the mess out!! Get that arranged ahead of time or something. Bring your own I.T. person...

1 Week Post Op - Question!
I agree. That much protein that early is quite impressive! Good job on the liquids.

- I Hate Water!
I've been drinking powerade zero and sometimes G2. I love G2, but there are a few calories to account for....- I Hate Water!
I've ALWAYS hated drinking water, so it's hard to say . There is a "thing" where many of us have a water intolerance for a few months right after surgery, so they suggest drinking other things in the mean time. it's normal though.- Coffee
The taste buds come back. Believe me.- Where Is Everyone From?
New Mexico for the last 35 years, and possible relocating to Florida....- Coffee
I think that was actually the first question I asked when I called Dr. Kim's office. Can I still drink coffee after this surgery? If not, I'm really going to have to think about this! LOL Indeed the answer was good!- Coffee
My surgeon approved one cup a day. And i make it a big cup and I drink every drop then lick the cup. I'd suck on the K cup too if i thought I wouldn't burn myself- I Cant Wait!
So, who did you go with? Remember, i'm here in Abq if you need to talk or anything...- Tampa Fl Area?
It's that way in Albuquerque a lot too. A massive "estate" next to scaryville. What do you think about Clearwater?? There are some houses there that we could do with nicely. Hubby's job would be smack in the middle of downtown Tampa just north of the airport. Clearwater is closer to the beach! I'm a little nervous about the fact that almost all the houses for sale are short sales. Those can be messy and take forever, but in the end you get a lot of house for your money! You and me and Lissa and missmachine can meet up! wouldn't that be fun??- Depressed And Desperate For An Answer.
It almost sounds like you've got a tight spot.... you'd better call and see if they can check it out... I've never had that, but it sounds like the description of many who've had either strictures, or just a narrow spot that needed to be stretched out. Did you have a hernia repair? I've also heard from some people that their hernia repair caused that sensation for a while....- Tampa Fl Area?
Thanks! I will. There is even a house in Lutz that looked interesting. TONS of short sales out there in Tampa... House buyer's dream!!- Tampa Fl Area?
This is looking more like its going to happen! The guy is going to fly us out there in a few weeks....- Home From Surgery
That's awesome!! I had trouble too, I wish I'd know about THAT!! Dr. Kim is awesome, huh? I couldn't be happier. Good job! Go get it!- Piercings...are They Ok?
As long as it's not metal, they should approve it. Just double check first so you don't lose your piercing!- September 28Th Sleevers Announce Yourselves
Hooraaayyy!!!- Piercings...are They Ok?
You can have your piercer put a tigon spacer in for surgery. I had those put in for surgery and it was approved no problem. (tigon is a clear plasticy, rubbery tubing) And mine were inches away from the surgery sight, so..... no prob.- It's Been Awhile.. But Here's A Sort Of Update But Not Really
Wow!! This reminds me of my sister in law's friend in Washington. Their little girl had a similar situation, and my SIL is trying to raise money for them because the insurance does not cover the rotation plasty. Basically, they remove the affected knee joint and use the foot, turned backward and grafted on, as the new knee joint. (The heel is like the kneecap) This gives them use of the knee like never before! Just amazing what they can do.... I pray you raise a lot of money! If I had any, I'd give you some. :/- I Want To See Before & After Pics!
