Hi! I have 23 days left until my surgery. My back always hurts and my left knee hurts too. I have 3 beautiful granddaughters (and one more granddaughter to arrive late July). I want to be able to run and play with the 4 girls. I'm feeling 85 instead of 55. I wish I could have done this 10 years ago. Can't wait until June 14!

I also heard that if you have a male boss, you can just say something like "I'm having female surgery." He probably won't ask any questions. Good luck on your surgery!! I still have a couple of months. Keep us posted!

Surgery was 6/14. Stayed in hosp 3 nights as I Had a bleeder blood vessel. Ended up getting 2 pints of blood. I'm okay now! Down 10.5 lbs. can't wait til Friday for the pureed stage!!

Obtained a Water bottle for my bicycle, enabled me to ride 4.17 miles today without stopping! It was about 95 out, so I couldn't have made it without my water. (Didn't think I was going to make it home with the water, lol). YEAH Next try for 5 miles. My goal is to ride in the Tour De Pepper bike ride next year, which is 9 mile, 34 mile, or 70 mile ride. Eventually I would like to do the 70 mile ride. It is in Dublin, TX and benefits children.

I am really enjoying the bike rides, and driving down streets around where I live that I normally don't drive down. Plus you see more than you do when you are driving. Plus getting some sun and fresh air. Great exercise and knee friendly, lol.

Stepped up on the scale and was down 2lbs this morning! Hope my stall is over with!

I've stopped telling people! This is about me; this is for me and my health. I have a co-worker that said she'll never go out to lunch w me again cuz she didnt want to feel bad. I find that alot pf ppl are negative cuz they are jealous. They dont have the spine to do what we're doing. Just my opinion; I could be wrong..... :-)

I decided not to say anything at work. Instead i have been seen drinking Protein Drinks and ive brought my tennis shoes to work and taken walks and have been heard to say that Im getting ready to kick it up a notch. I guess they will think that im working harder when i start losing weight!

And I've read that you're able to eat more because the swelling in your stomach has gone down at about 8 weeks, so this makes sense.

I had trouble with that, too! Mine didn't fix for 24 hours!

With 8 days left til surgery, I have been feeling very anxious. Last night I had a dream that I was sleeved and years later i was in a nursing home. I had dimentia and coudnt tell the nurses that i needed to drink alot of Water, take Vitamins and eat Protein first at meals. They had everything messed up and I was really sick and couldnt tell them. It was a horrible dream and I woke up ready to cancel the surgery. Geez. I need to get a grip! lol!

Im home had sleeve yesturday... Was up and walking about 4 hours later. Trust me walking helps alot. The leak test wasnt as bad as I was expecting and was cool to see how small your new stomach is... Anyways my new journey in life has started...
