I too learned something new. No driving and eating. I bought a child size burger while running errands. I ate about half not paying attention not chewing and bam chest tight pain I was driving down freeway had pull off and finally it passed It cost me time trying to save time eating at drive through I will not eat while driving if you get stuck while driving you're in a bad Place.

My foot dr said to use NB that they have best all around support I also wear a sport support in my shoe

I don't blame you for being mad. My insurance changed on 1 st of year and my new insurance does cover any barbaric care so I have to pay out of pocket now. I chose my surgeon for his skill I would hate for a famIly dr a to take over and possibly put a hole in my tube. Seems to me that you had a verbal contact when he explained the surgery process to you my surgeon told me he would be performing all after care and fills you may even have a written contract. My new insurance could have paid for my fills if they covered bariatics Call another surgeon and have them check your insurance before you go in. Most do this any

I would do again. Dec 22 band date and ive l lost 15 since surgery. You have to work harder with lapband and wt comes off slower i went to Dr balette in the woodlands he and his staff are great his cost is approx 12000 i have seen cost from insurance yet all fills cost around 2-3 hundred i self pay on these. I dont have any negs at this time. Everything has gone so well I did vomit first day home just the gas came up some pain on left side first three days easy to take care of with hot pack

I'm a month out now. And was a huge soda addict. I one in my hands almost alwats. I stopped just prior to surgery and did have any craving until now. I am fighting through it since I don't want to go back to it. They are like quiting smoking if I start again I may not beable to cotrol it. I drank diet soda buy they do cause you to crave food. I have had a ginger ale on ice. My Dr said I could have one just on ice allowing bubbles to exscape. Not everyday.

Hi I'm in Willis tx north of houston. My Dr is Dr Ballette inThe Woodlands. great Dr and his nurse Cheryl is very helpful/ supportive. I was BCBS and hiad surgery Dec 22 thank god because my insurance changed Jan. And i just found out that my new insurance hybrid does cover. I have to self pay my fills now but at least that's not as bad. Good luck with your surgery! And wecome!

I don't like powered protein shakes with just milk I add a banana and a few bluie berries the a chocolate protein shake.. I could have this post op so I bought pre made protien shakes. Premier at Sams club is 30 gm protien and really taste good. These cost more premier is 18.000 a case and I also buy EAS low carb drink in pharmacy at grocery store a 4 pack is around 7.00. Also adding 1/4 cup powered milk to your skim milk brings your protein up to 16 grams. I also drank special k it a flavored protien you add to wate. Comes in several flavors strawberry kiwi ect. It's 16 gm protein. I couldn't tolerate the sweetness after surgery so added small ants to all my water throughout day until I drank all of the package. It comes in a tea flavor too I can find it at my stores? Hope all goes well!

I had hard time with over sweet also. I cut special k powders down with water. I couldn't tolerate powder protein drinks at first. Clear liquids under my Dr included protein drinks so I drank pre package kind.

My primary Dr had to write a letter recommending surgery it was the same Dr I did my 6 month diet with its not really a big deal. You may need a co morbidity of some sort RN , high blood pressure, sleep apnea?

Luckly I reached well ahead and choose not to eat normal ever again. Eating normal put at wt that was becoming dangerous to my health. So no I don't want to ever eat normal again. I haven't had a fill yet but I now knw how I feel when I get stuck so I m going to change my habits to fit my band. I do not think anyone should be throwing up on a weekly basis. Something is wrong if you do either you aren't changing habits ie chew chew chew or eating foods that you cannt tolerate anymore or your band is over filled? I hope you get to that green zone!
