- Dating After Surgery
How do u tell someone about ur surgery n explain all the facets of it? U know puking n stuff. I mean if the guy is attracted to u now theres a reason so. And is there a lapband dating site?- January 60 Mile Walk Challenge
This sounds like a great idea, im going to do it too!- Getting Food To Go Thru
Anyone find a way to get the food to pass when its slightly stuck? I mean iv heard of jumping up and down n doing twists etc.., but nothing for me works. I have read n always here oh dont worry it will pass. But nothing for me passes, almost always stuck, n this will go on for hrs if i let it. I usually only get to hr n half before i spit it up, usually by then its just slime n fluid. But i want to know if anyone has anyway of getting it to go down. God do i wish fluid would wash it down, i miss that lol.- Banded 12/16 And I Want Food
Hey ladies for mushy stuff you can have mashed potatoes n u can add nonflavored protein powder to it, i add the powder to a lot of stuff, or try to anyway. Keeps u full. Theres quite a lot of mushy stuff. Even eggs if u cook them then grind them up, since their hard in anyway of going down. n if u get sick of regular broth, progresso has good chicken soups n u can drain the veggies n chicken out n eat the broth yet have a few veggies if u mush it enough. A nurse told me that one.- Banded 12/16 And I Want Food
Hey Texas i am with u on the wanting n eating food for any reason. But seriously be prepared to not be able to eat what u loved before. It'll take awhile to get used to it too. I dont want to scare anybody off with getting surgery so i wont tell anyone how i feel about lapband surgery now but i will say if ur not mentally ready and i mean it dont get it. U need to be in therapy for food issues and i can say thats barely helped over the years. Its just do or die i guess lol. The scale n dropping is what everyone says is the greatest n yes it is great but when holidays n stuff comes its hard to not want to eat what others r n just feel normal with them. But cant turn back time just move forward. Just be prepared for this mentally is all im saying. Cuz i thought i was but i never knew what i know now.- Weird Feeling In Chest
Did u get lapband surgery? If so its this thing called PB, productive burping yet with out the burping. It means u need to basically spit it up, i normally called it throwing up but its soo not the same thing. It felt like pressure right? I cant stand it, if u did get lapband surgery this is why n it willl happen quit a bit, just chew n eat slower. But if u didnt have lapband then i just talked to myself lol.- Vomiting and Depression after Lap Band Surgery
Yeah its Cazzy right auto correct was on lol. n thanks n hey how do i add a weight loss ticker?- Vomiting and Depression after Lap Band Surgery
Crazy, im glad u clarified cuz I didnt knoe what to call it but pb must be it. Where did u get that info? N these forums r for positive talks ppl. Thats y I like them and maybe why others do.- Sabotaging ourselves?
And Maddy or anyone i else i found the easiest best recipe. Its chicken salad you can make the night before thats so simple. You do have mayonaise but you can add as little or as much as you want. Me i dont skip on the mayo i just dont add a lot. Anyway, you boil chicken then throw it in the blender, then put in a bowl, add mayo, and basil. You add the basil to the way you would like it. Then put in fridge. Its better cold. I take this with me when i am on the go. Put in a container n bring a fork, its really good, you can add celery or anything you want but its the basil that makes it. You can keep chicken salad for awhile and putting it in a red pepper is good too. Also string cheese is good or yogart n add some granola. Just dont over do the dairy. Anyway i hope it helps, and not one person lapband or not has not loved this recipe.- Sabotaging ourselves?
God i found myself eating candy! lol. It's not easy and people that go oh you have a lapband it must be easy to loose weight. I wanna smack them and say no its not what you think, well i do say that, just haven't smacked anyone yet lol. But i feel like my life now is an endless recipe finder and weight watcher. I am glad i lost a lot of weight but i have plateaued and i battle depression so it gets hard sometimes. And Beverly no i've done similar stuff, just afterwards i pay the price by being in the bathroom forever. Some days i want to eat the biggest burger in the world or a pizza. Old habits die hard is an under statement and i need a bumper sticker that says Lapband: I want a burger now! lol.- Vomiting and Depression after Lap Band Surgery
Yeah it is normal to vomit, guess your lucky you havent. If your vomiting daily then no you need your band adjusted. But if you eat too fast or food that is too big you can throw up, its all their is to it. I've had my surgeon, nutrionists, and other professionals tell me its normal. Unless all of these people are wrong then theres a huge problem, lol. But, their not. Research it or ask, its true. But if you havent experienced it, then your doing great.- Vomiting and Depression after Lap Band Surgery
Yeah I hear ya, your right and I try to not throw up every day or every other day cuz I never get to eat then lol. But your right, thanks.- Vomiting and Depression after Lap Band Surgery
