1. First day at the gym yesterday so Ill keep checking in this thread to motivate me ... 10 mins cross trainer 30 mins weights - upper and lower body 40 laps of pool (breaststroke) 5 flights of stairs Im thinking about starting Spinning ... do you have to be relatively fit before you start? My gym offers a beginners class...
2.
I am reading but dont have much to say - I seem to have plateaued. Just had my second fill aswell However Im not really excercising so I know its my own fault - joined a new gym yesterday and plan on starting on monday ...
Hope everyone else is going well ... x
3. Thanks for all the replies guys, its so good to know Im not alone. Do you think your body still absorbs some of the calories though even if you are not swallowing anything??
4. Ok, I have got into a really bad habit. Especially when I am just on liquid or mushies (after a fill - just had my second). I have started to chew on food when I have cravings and then spit it out. Im worried Im doing myself some damage but I cant stop. Im also not sure if it even does anything - does anyone know if you your body still absorbs the calories? Am I alone? or have other people done this? How do I stop? Do I even need to stop? If you would rather not reply to this thread, please pm me, it will be kept private ... Thank you Lily x
5. What a great idea. Id like to copy that ...
6. You look fantastic !!!
7. Rmarko, I was banded for the first time two weeks ago also and I have put on 2 kilos - not happy. In saying that though I am not excercising which I know will make a huge change ... Good luck with you next fill
8. Hi Guys, I have been banded for just over two months and until now have had no problems and steady weight loss. I had my first fill two weeks sgo. For the past week my port has felt weird. It feels more inflamed and sticking out. When i put my hand on my port and move it around it moves and makes this weird little sound, like a groan, especially when I pull it upwards (does that even make sense?) It wasnt doing this before. Ive also been getting intense gas pains towards the end of the day and stomach aches during the day. Things that may have caused this is I had a diet coke the other day for the first time and Ive pb'd twice. The first time was a full on throw up, the second was just a normal pb. Ive also put on 2 kilos in the last week. Ive also had too much wine twice. Can anyone help? Im worried my port has moved. ps: I should also mention I currently have my period, it was 12 days late and very heavy - could this have anything to do with it?

10. Me too ... banded 24th February
11. Thanks for the reassurance guys
12. I pb'd for the first time yesterday on rice and ended up with lots of tiny red dots around my eyes which I assume are burst blood vessels. Has this happened to anyone else? Lily x
13. Thank you Synical. I live in England but Im sure I can find similar here. Last night I resorted to laxatives which is not a habit I want to get into. Lily
14. hmmm had my first pb yesterday and boy was it unpleasant. Totally my fault though. Im supposed to be on liquids until tomorrow then mushies for a week due to my first fill but I had been on a job all day with no food I could eat and no where to get any. I was starving so I had two bites of rice and dahl and chewed and chewed but it didnt like me. Not happy. I barely ate anything yesterday - 2 x low fat hot choc with water, a choc soya low fat dessert and I caved at about 11pm and had 10 almonds chewed to death (no problems). Still hardly a move on the scales and severe constipation. Not very happy at the moment - cant wait to move on to mushies tomorrow.
