  1. Well I have an old flame sort of come back into my life. Known him for like 3 years. Never met him though and this time I believe thats going to happen. Just too damn curious not to find out. Hopefully this time he's grown up a bit. We'll see...but he's sooo a hot..heheh So much for waiting for my fitness goals till I date again..LOL..well at least this one knows exactly what I'm all about so I don't have to worry he's not gonna like me for me. Although he's said the "don't loose too much weight" line..hmm..anyone else gotten this one before? He says he likes his women with some meat on their bones..well I don't think I'll ever be a barbie doll..LOL.
  2. Yeah it sucks that there's always a huge risk with a relationship. But how you ever gonna know if u don't go for it? Wish you lots of good luck with it. Don't worry too much about losing your independence with this guy. If he really loves ya he'll give you some space that you need. Sounds like your happy Good luck Di
  3. I have a family pass at the YMCA. Best thing ever! My kid loves it too Going tonight again for the same routine..but focusing on arms tonight. Its soo odd to actually feel muscles!
  4. I'm going to look into it the next session at the YMCA. I've always looked in there and it seems like alot of fun...and boy they do come out of there all sweaty so it must be working. Fun is the key to keeping on exercising so I'm gonna hope there's a class I can attend. I'll letcha all know how it goes :car:
  5. Hiya, Yes this is sort of my story. It's been a long journey. But I'm sooo happy with my band now. The thing is when I got banded it was soo new. So not alot of info out there. I went through months of not doing much..gaining a bit back...then finally going in for a fill. See I get woosy with fills so they aren't alot of fun for me. Anyways my point is..it doesn't matter how fast u do it. Just that u eventually get there. Actually I think the slower it goes the better off you are. It's been almost 4 years for me and im still trying to get to goal. The thing with the band is you gota think yearsss down the road. Even if you don't loose for awhile it's always there. When I was ready again to hit it I went in and got a fill. Don't worry about your metabolism. Just exercise and that will kick it into gear. It's not like your gonna ever ruin yourself for life. Just remember..to truely be successful with the band you WILL have to exercise at some point. Good luck and take care
  6. Wow its the 20th already! Okay I've been doing pretty decent although I didn't exercise yesterday. Saturday I did go to a class. We used those resist-a-ball things. OMG..what a killer! I've been working out 4-5 days a week..I'm going tonight I plan on doing 40 minutes on the treadmill, 10 on the eliptical and 15 on the weight machines Ohhhh and guess what! I actually RAN on the treadmill!!! I was sooo scared..LOL.. but i saw the women doing it next to me and she inspired me. So I ran for about 2 minutes and then had to turn it back down. But at least I did it. I figure everyone i see around me thats running is skinny..they must be doing something right..LOL
  7. Wow thanks so much for the replies jachut! This is exactly what I was looking for. It makes alot of sense. I'm meeting with my trainer tonight for the first time. So I'm gonna see what he says too. Gratz on such a great success
  8. I had a hot possibility of a date from a dating site and I chickened out. Blah what is wrong with me. I'm just so nervous to meet someone I don't know and deep down I'm still worried I'm gonna dissapoint them with my looks. He was a cutie too..
  9. Thanks guys for all the imput. I've signed up with the "commit to be fit" program at the YMCA that I belong to and I'll be meeting with a trainer once a week. Just gonna listen to him and pray he knows what he's doing. LOL
  10. Just weighed in at weight watchers...another -2.4 pounds!...weee Time to move the ticker.. Anyways worked out 5 days this week. Also I joined a "commit to be fit" program at the YMCA. I'll be meeting once a week with a trainer. Also on Saturday I'm going to a weight loss group that is 30 minutes of exercise and 30 minutes of support. Figure the more tools I have the better
  11. Yeah Special K water is nasty...I was dissapointed. Not worth the calorie intact for the 4g of protein. I'm gonna look into that other water..that seems cool!
  12. Well whatever it takes to motivate you. For me its gonna be sending my ex a picture of myself for his birthday showing me how good I look now..since I know he dumped me cause he couldn't handle the fatness. hehe..it's gonna feel good too. Other than that..right now it's to have really nice xmas pictures of myself FOR ONCE..lolll..yeah that will be nice. Also I'm really really inspired by all the success stories here..it's amazing how much more achievable it all seems seeing all the successes.
  13. Well August is here so hmmmm...I guess I'll follow what the others have done here. Going to strive for working out at least 5 times a week. So 20 one hour workouts. Loose 2 pounds a week...8 pounds total.
  14. Thanks so much. It's just my first goal. I'm sure I'll have more to loose then that. But being under 200..is a dream
  15. yep that's the reality of it all. We could hope that men aren't that shallow..but we all know the truth. So it's either limit yourself to the few strong men that don't care..or loose the weight and open yourself to far more men. I'm going with the second choice now..hope it works.
  16. chicken..CHICKEN..CHICKEN..LOL in any shape or size will just about do it for me. Yes even chicken wings. The only way I can really do it if it's shredded in a Soup. Steak is also very hard. eggs any way are also next to impossible. Can eat them in the evenings sometimes. Also for peeps wondering about the "stuckage". Let me tell you it's no fun. I have been stuck sometimes all night. In a panic. I have learned some tricks though. First of all. When you figure out your really are stuck. Do not eat or drink anything for at least 4 hours. You really have to let things settle down inside you. If you keep on pb'ing all your doing is having everything swell up even more. Although u can still get sick from all the slime that is accumulating but still..better than trying to drink. The thing is sometimes you can get something unstuck by drinking. So it's easy to fall into that trap of thinking your gonna get it unstuck by drinking. Anyways about 4 hours after..or if I do feel that "food went down" feeling then I will try some warm tea. See what happens. If you still get sick again..don't drink once again. It's scary I know because you feel like your going to dehydrate. Thankfully I've always been able to get things unstuck. Eventually the food disolves and it's okay. It is really scary though and it will reinforce you to follow the bandster rules.
  17. This is the way it was explained to me. Anything you loose before getting at least 2 fills look at it as a bonus. Don't expect to loose anything..and yes you can even gain. When you finally hit your sweet spot the light bulb will go off and it'll all make sense as to how this darn thing works. But really each fill I have had..it was a new re-learning experience as to how to work with the band. You'll get there. On average from what I can tell..most people get around 4 fills. So if your not feeling like you have good restriction, don't worry it just takes some time. Good luck and keep posting. Remember this isn't a race. You'll get there
  18. I'm soo joining in on this during August. Worked out today and swam with my kid..was a great day!
  19. Well my tricks are just to allow myself to have the good for me snacks around. Then if there is something I feel that I'm craving or whatever..I play mind games with myself. I have drilled it into my head to tell myself over and over..."Eating this is not going to get me to my goal"..it seems to work. I think half of learning to loose weight is all in your head. Good luck.
  20. Single again..oh joy. Sigh Any single men out there? hmm?? I don't bite..LOL.
  21. I've had some effect. Not really complaining there. Just wasn't sure I was doing the best for me. But yeah I'm only doing 119 because that is what the treadmill is telling me I should be doing when I select "fat burning" routine. So glad it's working for you. Yeah maybe I'll still throw in an elliptical work out now and then to keep it mixed up...hmmm. Thanks again!
  22. For me I had to join weight watchers again. I figured the more tools I had the better. It's working too! I was also on plateaus for very long periods of time and it's awful. Good luck
  23. Are you sure your at a good fill amount? It doesn't sound like it to me. If you want the tool to work for you, you must make sure it's where u need to be at. It's the only way. If you can eat more than 4 chicken nuggets you are not tight enough (not that you should eat chicken nuggets..lol). Also if your not exercising you can only expect to loose about half of what u want to loose. Trust me I was there. Stuck for years..gained back some. Finally I have figured out I had to do my part to get the rest off.
  24. Don't worry. It'll work. Just make sure you keep getting the fills is key. The people I have seen fail are the ones that do not get the fills. I've had friends actually turn down fills because they are afraid of restriction..wow I thought that was the whole point..lol.
  25. Hiya Cbrock, Glad I'm not the only one feeling weird being in the "fat zone". I don't even work up a real sweat or anything. It just so feels like I'm not doing much. I also wonder when I'm suppose to switch from "fat burning" to "cardio". Yesterday I noticed that the YMCA has all these plans for different things and one was weight loss. Think I'll see what they say about it too. I just want to do whats the best for my bod.
