oh wow, I guess I'm late cuz I had no idea you were doing a video.

I just arrived in Tijuana and checked into the Marriott. I will be going to the hospital tomorrow to have my surgery! It seemed like forever for this day to come, and now it's finally here. The weather is really nice here, not bad at all so far. It's a wonderful, beautiful day and I am excited to be starting a new phase of my life tomorrow.

My surgery is Feb 20th also....I was extremely hungry the first 3 days, but now I'm ok. I started my pre op diet a week ago, and I did cheat a little bit at first. I start liquids only on Friday, not sure how well I'm gonna do with that.

I hate Valentine's day - I think the thing that sucks is seeing all the ladies in the office getting nice floral arrangements from their hubbys, and knowing that I won't be getting jack. P.S. I love me, but it would be nice to be appreciated/admired by someone else.

Hello, does anyone know of any good cosmetic dentists in Tijuana? I am going to Mexico for my sleeve on 2/19, and I'd like to also have a dental consultation while I'm there. I want to get an estimate on some veneers.

Hey Lady! Good Luck to you - I know all about that Louisiana food, its my favorite. Along with Mexican, Italian, sushi, and....shoot everything's my favorite, which is why I'm in the predicament I'm in. I go to New Orleans just about every year for the Essence fest, and I remember feeling so crowded and stuffed in the seats at the Superdome. I affirm that this year I will have room to spare! Update us when you get a chance.

YES. I wear big Chaka Khan hair as my distraction. Great blog. It has taken quite a while for me to decide that I don't care what people think about me, as a matter of fact it's really none of my business what they think. What's important is what I think about myself. So I will probably continue to rock my Chaka hair, even after I'm fine and slender, because I LIKE IT.

ok, ya'll are scaring me. I haven't even had the surgery yet, and I forget to drink my water and take my medications as it is. Please tell me it gets better as time goes on.

I'm really glad to know that I will still be able to eat sushi, because I absolutely love it. My question is, how do you eat it? I imagine that you can no longer put a whole piece in your mouth, or you will be chewing forever. Do you cut each piece into smaller pieces?

I had to switch from Dr. Kelly to Dr. Garcia, I was working with Trish but she wasn't sure if I could use my FSA card to pay for the surgery. I contacted A Lighter Me and they told me I could use my card, but they did not give Dr. Kelly as an option for my surgeon.

I really would like to be able to give you a nice, peaceful resolution, but I'm just not that person. I probably would have slapped the absolute mess outta him and then I would have given him the worst cussing of his life. But what will probably be the sweetest revenge is when you get slim, and have other men salivating over you.

As my screen name states, I love shoes. I have more than I want to count, and I have a few that are very beautiful and expensive. At my current size, all I can do right now is gaze at them with longing, because if I wear them I would be in pain. But I want to know if anyone has had to buy new shoes in smaller sizes because of their weight loss. I wouldn't mind wearing a smaller size, because I am currently a size 11, and its hard to find cute shoes in that size. But I have a few pairs that I would hate to have to give up.
