  1. The only way you will go back up to where you were before you started is if you went back to eating unhealthy foods again. You have diffinately gained muscle weight which will increase your body's ability to burn fat. It's even better than before. Enjoy your body and eat healthy and you will be fine.
  2. Congrats!! Welcome to the BIG LOSER'S BENCH! It only gets better from here. You will be so successful at your weight loss.
  3. I didn't have to do a 2 week liquid diet pre-op. I had to do liquids the day before. Maybe it's because I didn't have a fatty liver, I don't know. It would definitely be difficult fore to be in the same house with the wonderful smell of food being prepared. It might be a good ideal to leave when the family sits down to eat if at all possible. Just a suggestion to make it easier for you.
  4. I am an open book. I have told everyone that I know. There are a few who told me I wasn't heavy enough blah blah blah. I had diabetes and high cholesterol too boot. When I reflected on one on their reactions, it was coming from someone who was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years age and doesn't take his medications for diabetes or HBP. But other people have been great too me, who knows what they say behind my back. I don't really care. I did tell my sister in law and my nephew because my nephew ashed what I was doing to loose weight. So I figured I would just be truthful and he was really interested. And of course, I'm sure the whole family knows now.
  5. Well, I was 55 years old when I had my surgery. I figure that if I have baggy extra skin, then so be it! I can hide it under my cloths or I can save up and get plastic surgery to have it removed. I will be much more healthy and happier with my body which adds more confidence to my character. Go for it, and don't fret the skin stuff. Don't let it stop you either. Looking forward to seeing you on the BIG LOSER'S BENCH! I'm saving a seat for you....
  6. Wow, the fat is just going to melt right off you! Keep Rockin that Sleeve!
  7. I'm looking for a real cute leather jacket that is really soft! Can't wait to find one.
  8. Congrats! It does get better! You are doing great and try to get in as much fluids and protein as possible. You won't be able to meet the maximum amount but will work up to it. Welcome to the BIG LOSER'S CLUB! Enjoy your journey!
  9. Yayyy with cloths shopping! I went shopping and found all kinds of cute things that fit me. I also decided to buy a leather jacket today, but was bummed because I only found a small and it was kinda tight and wouldn't reach the zipper! Bummer. But I'm so happy to be in a medium.
  10. Eat foods that are really soft like yogurt, pudding, jello, soups that are healthy for you.
  11. You look fantastic and only to get better! And yes, you are still going to be the same you until you make an adjustment and gain some confidence in yourself. This is a journey that everyone has to take with his/her own speed. I love to see progress in people when we start feeling good about themselves and are very successful. This is a transition in your life. We are all on this journey with a hughe transition ahead. We ROCK!
  12. You are doing great! Cherish the compliments and enjoy the sexy new you coming! CONGRATS!
  13. Went to dinner with my hubby and we had Soup and a mixed grill. I forgot that I don't eat bread and ate a fourth of the bread stick, 1/2 the zuppa tocano soup, a little piece of the mixed grilled skewer, actually 1 piece of steak and 1 piece of chicken. I'm finding myself going backwards and wanting to eat more, even though I can't. Oh well time to go forward.
  14. Can you tell me a little more? I don't understand what you mean. There is no escaping from a sleeved stomach. It's permanent. Do you mean a leak?
  15. You are doing really great. Keep Rocking that Sleeve! Dancing in the rain! Yayyyyyyyy.....
  16. That is such a awesome feeling. I am so happy for you! Time to shop! CONGRATS!
  17. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy! I finally made it to 154.8. I've been holding at 155 for the past few weeks. I'm happy even if the weight loss is slow. And yes, I do weigh myself during the week but don't get to upset when the scale doesn't move. I am getting closer to goal.
  18. CONGRATS! I love sharing meals with my hubby. It helps him eat less too since his blood sugar is way out of control.
  19. Lynda, Congrats at making goal! I hope I can do it! Keep Rockin that Sleeve!
  20. CONGRATS! Welcome to the BIG LOSER'S BENCH!
  21. Woww! You have done really great! Keep Rockin your Sleeve!
  22. You are absolutely right! This is a life style change and needs to be constantly reminded to us.
  23. Now that is really exciting! To be part of a group of select individuals to influence whether or not the sleeve will be approved in the future. I'm sure it will be approved considering all the Lap Band people who had a significant amount of complications that cost the insurance company a lot of money. You are already a success! Take it in, and please give yourself a lot of credit for your hard work. KEEP ROCKIN THAT SLEEVE!
  24. Ummmm, I am around 25 lbs to goal. If I don't loose it, I won't be too sad. This is who I am.
  25. How much sugar does this have in it? Thanxs for sharing.
