Soda
That's a really good question. I would like to know the answer to this also. I'm an x pepsi addict. But I'm really not willing to risk stretching my sleeve even a tiny bit by drinking the diet soda. I know that it did make me hungry more often in the past.

Oprah Kriste Ally
A lot of people don't know about the surgery and have their eyes closed. A lot of people don't have insurance coverage or the money to pay for the procedure. And a lot of people just don't believe in surgery. I'm glad that I was open minded to getting a sleeve. It has saved my life.

This is so weird. Going from a GB to a LB is different. I guess it can be done. But what about just going back to basics? That sounds so much more easy.

Frustrated?!?!?! Any Suggestions?
Having stalls are very frustrating. At 5.5 months post op, the scale is moving slowly, by ozs. I have increased my calories which has helped by losing ozs. I'm also looking at being close to goal and yes the weight loss will be a little slower. On THE DOCTORS, they were talking about visceral fat being the easiest to loose. So that's probably where I am. Now it's time to get busy toning and stop making my lame accuses in my head to avoid exercise. LOL. We can do this, it just takes time. Yesterday, my hubby told me I need to stop with the weight loss. That's a really big NSV! I told him my body has pretty much stopped. I asked him if I look like I've lost any weight and he said yes. So my body is redistributing my weight. LOL Keep Rockin those Sleeves! There's no way you will not lose your weight! It might take some time, after all, we didn't put the weight on over night. I try to keep this in mind.

Does Anyone Have Any Regrets?
Same regrets as every one here have posted. Would do it over in a heartbeat! Love to be me now.

Alcohol?
I am 5.5 months post op and I haven't had any alcohol and I don't choose too. When I go out, I don't explain anything to any one and no one really cares anyways. It's mostly our anxiety that prevents us from being ourselves and I am proud of my decisions. I don't need to play the social rules game and I don't tell them about my surgery either. This is me and I choose to be me, I'm normal...... Go to these events and forget about your sleeve, think healthy and smile because you look fantastic! You are beautiful! SMILE!

Fell Off The Wagon A Bit
It's time to get off the pitty wagon. Time to do a reality check. How long did it take you to put on all that excess weight you have? Is it really possible to loose all that weight like over night? And WOW, you just said you had lost 50 lbs! That is fantastic. When you fell off the wagon, you reverted to past behaviors that sabotaged your weight lost. Now get back on the wagon, recognize how you sabotaged your diet, be kind to your self and your body, and choose to make healthier choices. You can do this, after all, you have lost 50 lbs and look fantastic! This is the hardest journey you will ever take, so sit back, read more posts on stalls, and perhaps find yourself a therapist that can help you stay on course. You can do this, you've already done quite a lot to begin with. You have what it takes to make healthier choices. BIG CYBER HUGS!

It's More Than Just Losing The Weight
This surgery has enabled us to loose our excess weight and make better choices in how we eat, as well as other wonderful life saving choices. It's amazing how 1 little change can start a dominoe effect on other healthy choices. I love my new slim body and wearing a size medium. I love that I make better choices in eating. I also love that my hubby is finally making better choices in his eating patterns as well and is working to get better control over his eating. He is even exercising now! Wow, I love all the changes. It Rocks!

Hair Advice Please! I'm Freaking Out!
Debly: our hair will grow back. It will just take time.

Feeling A Little Discouraged
Talk to the surgeon and ask him to schedule you a date for the first part of May and meanwhile, check if you can go someplace else for the endoscopy and keep calling to see if they had any cancellations. It's time to be a pest! Don't give up, explain to them the importance of getting this done now. The bottom line is about payment and they will accommodate if they have too. Stress that there isn't much time.

Head Issues - Therapy?
Amanda: I really like what you just wrote about! I am a Therapist and I use cognitive behavioral therapy a lot. You have made a big transition and have used the tools that you learned in your therapy! I am so proud of you! Thanks for making my day. Keep Rockin that Sleeve! Hugs!

Poopies?
This is quite normal considering that we can't put much in our stomachs. If your worried about not going, you can use Miralax, colace, MOM, benefiber to help you go. This will be much easier later on.

Husband Down Plays My Wt Loss-Frustrated!
I feel very fortunate that my hubby has decided that he needs to start eating healthier due to health related issues. But before learned about his high blood glucose, he had started to eat less. I remember that I would just say to him when he complained about his weight that he only needs to eat less, and of course he needs to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. He avoided the exercise but did make efforts to eat less. Now I have him eating like we do, but in larger quantities. I am so blessed with him. I love my Sleeve and my Hubby. Don't let him get away with hurting your feelings. Tell him "Ouch, that hurt," I really need your support, I miss you!" That could help in be more supportive. Give him positive reinforcement when he does so he will continue to support you.. It's also important to be supportive of his efforts too.
