  1. Is DVT meaning deep vein trombosis?
  2. I find it totally interesting in the difference of opinions from the surgeons. My surgeon today told me that yes I can stretch my stomach out. She went on to say that they have some patients that are looking to have their sleeves redone to be tighter. So to be safe, I am going to not challenge and just follow the sleeve rules. Protein first, veggies, and some starch.
  3. My high blood sugar is also gone. My A1C was at 6 and my PCP said technically I am still diabetic until my A1C is below 6. I'm just happy I'm doing so well and my blood sugar level is down.! Here's to good health!
  4. I really does sound like acid to me. I had the same problem and then when I took my PPI prescription in the morning and evening, my hunger went away. I didn't have any burning sensations, just a lot of hunger. It could also be that it takes time to get rid of the ghrein in your system this close to being out from the surgery.
  5. You've done it! Congrats! This has been the best decision I have had in my whole life! WELCOME!
  6. Protein is an important for healthy cell repair and development. Also, affects hair loss etc. We need protein to repair our bodies after the surgery and gives us energy. I myself drink the protein drinks called Premier Chocolate protein drinks from Costco. They also sale them at Sam's Club. This satisfies my sweet tooth. LOL
  7. This is highly unethical for a secretary to being giving you this talk! This is not her scope of practice and could result in a law suit if not addressed (secretary). If I was you, I would call or email the doc or HR and file a compliant. How dare her treat you that way. You nor anybody else deserves this kind of treatment especially if your seeking help. She has do knowledge of you comorbities. She's just an ignorant secretary. Sorry, I just got fired up and really want to call this person and give them a piece of my mind. SHE WAS SO UNPROFESSIONAL! Actually she has caused harm to you and other patients and should be fired! That's just my professional opinion!
  8. This is enough to break your heart! I know that coming up with an additional $3000 is doable for some folks, but it seems unethical in so many ways. I am so happy your still going to go through with the surgery, it is life changing! Can't wait for you to join us on the BIG LOSER'S BENCH!
  9. I love to live in the moment. I haven't been losing weight and I'm working on not stressing about it too much. I can't control what's going on in my body, but I can control what I choose to think about. So, here's to a healthy me both physically and mentally.
  10. This weight gain is what we call a bounce. It's basically water weight and will be gone in a flash. Don't stress over it, just be grateful for where you are today and keep following the sleeve rules.
  11. The only part of the team with Kaiser that I have met with is the dietician. Kaiser in OC refers out to a bariatric surgeon.
  12. The surgeon can post pone it. But I believe it's about the bottom line of being $$$$$$$. There are probable other factors like, do you have a fatty liver? Just do your best to loose some weight. You will be fine.
  13. I have a really embarrassing questioning. Does anyone have any excess skin around the rectum? It is such a weird feeling and it's driving me crazy? I hope I get some feedback, I would hate to be the only one.
  14. At the pharmacy. A pharmacist will be happy to assist you.
  15. It really sucks to have to wait for so many hours and not know what's going on. Hang in there, you will love your sleeve after awhile. XOXOXO Hugs
  16. You are so blessed to have had your surgery before the policy change. CONGRATS on beating the system!
  17. This is a new way of life. We all have to look at how and what we are eating and our fluid intake. We need to be mindful of what we put in our bodies so we can continue on with our new journey. We are skinny people in the making and so focused on weight loss, that we are forgetting to live for today. Let's refocus ourselves to enjoying the wonderful company that we have and enjoy our beautiful friends and family. That's what life is all about for me.
  18. CONGRATS! This is so exciting. Liberated SLeeve ~ I love you new pic!
  19. CONGRATS! Dancing in the rain! Keep rockin your sleeve!
  20. A good trick is to take oral medications with yogurt or sf pudding. The pills slide down with the yogurt or sf pudding. Piece of cake! LOL
  21. That angers me. It's like saying that someone is age 55 is not employable because of his/her age. Crazy. I hope they get a lawsuit for this.
  22. CONGRATS! I will keep the BIG LOSER'S BENCH warm for you!
  23. It's so much fun to read about everyone's success stories here. I remember puting on a pair of dress slacks that fit just perfect and within about 5 hours they would be so baggy on me! I remember finding my gold ring on the floor bc it fell off my finger. Now I'm waiting for my smaller gold ring to fall off my finger and it just won't. It goes from really loose to fitting snug by morning wth? Theses are a daily tributes. LOL
  24. Wow this is great! But I have a question what does SAHM mean? Anyways, congrats!
  25. I have so much anxiety attached to this topic of stalls. I realize I need to just sit back and honor my body and it's current weight. If I do stay at this weight, then maybe it's just ment to be. I know I will get to goal soon or maybe later. But after all, I didn't gain the weight this fast. When I heard from my surgeon's office that we would loose 1 to 2 lbs per week, I was disappointed. But it's all good. I love my new bod and I'm getting use to my eating routine. I will keep eating healthy, protein first, veggies, some fat and some starches.
