I'm meeting with a post-op bariatric team on April 18th. Have any of you already done that, and, if so, how did it go?

The only part of the team with Kaiser that I have met with is the dietician. Kaiser in OC refers out to a bariatric surgeon. ;)

Kaiser Richmond, CA patients,

Which surgeon did you prefer and why?

I loved my surgeon Judith parks! She was amazing!! I had My surgery 3-1. She really did a great job. She is the head surgeon of the Richmond bariatrics department.

I am with kaiser south bay in Harbor City, CA. My surgeon is Dr. Mun. He removed a band in June,11 and will do VSG this June!

I was sleeved on 11/14/12 with Dr. Fedorka also! I personally think Kaiser is the absolute best health plan ever! And I'm soooo greatful to the Fontana batiatric team

Sleeved 11/26 by Dr Fisher in Richmond. Had a great experience. Wouldn't change a thing

The Richmond program provides so much support and education both before and after surgery. Very impressed!

Although I am still pre-op, I wrote Dr. Im about my progress to reach goal weight. He sent back a quick and supportive e-mail. I'm very happy with how accessible he is.

I am having my gastric sleeve done by a doctor, FAWZI SHAKER KHAYAT located at the South San Francisco facility. I hope to be scheduled on January 8th!

I don't find a lot of people on here that have kaiser other than people on the west coast and from what I have read their requirements are different than kaier mid-atlantic.

Post op was just that, a follow up appointment wherein the surgeon checked over my chart, looked at how the incisions healed, recorded and discussed with me my weight loss to date. They took pre appointment blood work to make sure I was nutritionally sound....it was a breeze.
