  2. I had my revision on 11/15/12 and its been great compare to the band the restriction is really good and I can actually eat unlike the band where slushies were my best friends because that and popcorn were the only thing I could eat with my band. I was at 428 when I had my band. I weighed 280 when they removed my band because I was vomiting in my sleep then 5 months later I weighed in at 311 the day of my sleeve surgery. Today I weight 287. I was at 277 a week ago but somehow gained weight. My diet hasn't changed and I haven't changed my exercise routine. My doctor is kind of stumped at this but says that my body may be just trying to hold on to everything because it was a little slow in realizing what was happening. I love the sleeve I wouldn't trade it for the world and even though I gained a few lbs its ok. It's just a bump in the road. Best wishes!!!

  4. I am so happy to see this thread!! I am a band to sleeve revision. Had my band for 2 years and had my revision on the 15th of November 2012. I have lost 30 lbs since my revision. It's kind of upsetting because if I try to stay with 800 calories I feel sick like I am going to pass out. They ran all kinds of blood test and can't find anything wrong. Even took a look at my sleeve and everything seems fine. My surgeon says its all me and I need to stick my 800 calories. My PCP tells me to up my calories to 1000 to 1200 so that I don't feel sick and avoid the possibly of fainting. I honestly don't know what to do sometimes. I get hungry some days and others I have to remind my self to eat. I hope that as the months come by I will be able to find some kind of middle ground with my sleeve and at the same time satisfy the doctor so I don't get in trouble.

  6. This is a great post. I am a slow loser as well but I am also a revision which my doctor said would impact my weight loss more. I was sleeved 11/15/2012 and have lost a total of 33 lbs. I move up and down about three lbs til the last week of the month and then I will lose 3 lbs. I feel upset and depressed because I have friends who had surgery before me and are already down 60 lbs. sometimes I feel like crying. I try to remind myself that I will lose it eventually but sometimes I can't motivate myself to just keep positive. I hope that hearing stories like mine will show me that "hey it's ok your just a slow loser but atleast your losing it and becoming a healthier person" Keep your head up everyone. We are in this together and slowly but surely we will cross that finish line and be successful
  7. I LOVE LOVE LOVE spicy and no problems here. I was sleeved 11/15

  9. Awww don't worry it will come off. I was sleeved 11/15 and have lost only 33lbs. Definitely frustrating I know but try to focus and be positive. Maybe what you don't see on the scale is coming off in inches? I know people are in shock when they see me thinking I've lost so much weight when in reality I've lost more inches then actual lbs. Crazy how it works don't you think???
  10. I'm in the same boat. The scale doesn't reflect much weight loss for me (sleeved 11/15 and down 30 lbs) but everyone tells me how much I have slimmed down and how much my face has changed. Hopefully things will work out
  11. I had a drain. In truth I was afraid of pulling it out so I took it easy while it was in. I grossed out having to empty it!!!!! And lord when they pulled it out that was the weirdest feeling ever!!! I don't think it was that bad though but like I said I was very cautious with mine
  12. Don't worry things will look up just give your body time. I was sleeved 11/15/12 and have lost 28lbs. I consider myself pretty lucky to be losing at all since I am a revision from a band. My doctor told me that some get revisions and don't lose much weight at all. I just look at the positive and figure hey atleast I have lost something. I can't remember the last time I lost weight and just think about it this is only the beginning!!!!

  14. I was sleeved 11/15/2012 and down 28lbs so far. It's coming off alot faster then when I had the lap band 2 years ago.
  15. Don't worry your doing just fine. It happens. I was sleeved 11/15/2012 and have lost 26lbs. As long as you are following the diet don't worry. I have gained and lost and stalled for 2 weeks but it picks up just keep your head up!!!!
  16. I had my lap band for 2 years before I had mine removed when I went to emergency because I couldn't get anything down. 5 months later I was sleeved and I still had complications in my surgery because right were my band was it was still swollen.

  20. I went through that 3 weeks stall as well but it seems I hit another stall. I was sleeved on 11/15/12 I weighed in at 311 and I got down to 288 but it seems that I gain 4lbs then lose those same 4lbs. I asked my doctor about it but he said it happens and I will get passed it but boy is it discouraging.
  21. I am having a similar problem like this the only thing is in further out then you are (11/15/12). I keep on losing and gaining the same 4lbs. I've asked my doctor but he just shrugs and says it happens. I'm sure though that everything will work out just keep your head up ^.^

  23. Hello!! Kaiser of Fontana was were I went and the bariatric team was great. Made sure I was good and that all my stuff was in order. Dr. Fedorka was my surgeon and he is awesome!! He took my lap band out in June and I had the sleeve done in November. Good luck!!!!
  24. Hello. I somewhat did but not six months. I had to go to a 12 week class then have a physical then a psych eval and a regular check up with my primary followed by a doc appointment with surgeon then another a month later to re evaluate an make sure everything was still ok to proceed. In all it took about 6months for some in my classes it was less time. Just depends on how well your blood test came back. We were required to loss 10% of our weight by the end of class too.
