  2. I always get frustrated when I have head hunger for something and I finally get it, and I can only eat a couple of bites. So frustrating but am trully thankful. It is even worst when feeling totally nauseous.
  3. BTW your therapist was totally wrong!!!!!!!! I am a therapist and I would tell you to go for it! Don't let something that small hinder you! Get rid of it! You don't need it! Sorry, don't mean to let my emotion get into this. You are a beautiful person and deserve to feel and look your best, age doesn't matter! There is no stopping you now! Go for it!
  4. I bought some desert size plates on ebay that are so beautiful and just the right size. When I use them, I get the right amount. In fact, my husband is also using them too. I never want to use the dinner plates anymore.
  5. So let's start eating differently today. How about eating 1/2 of what your eating now? Eat alot of proteins, veggies with little starches. Drink alot of water to cleanse your body out. This is a good start. You will adjust your eating when with family and friends. You will miss it, but it is a life saving procedure and to be totally honest. People eat too much food anyways. You can do this!
  6. My favorite meal is tacos! But I know that if I make tacos, I will over indulge myself bc this is a problem area for me. So I choose not to eat them. No problem, I really don't need them anyways. But there would be no stopping at one! Yikes, I have a fear of eating tacos. LOL

  14. Pam ~ CONGRATS! So happy for your approval! Let's Rock! Are you doing your happy dance?
  15. Your hormones are out of wack! Keep taking the bc until you see your ob/gyn. Your hormones will balance out in due time. When was your surgery?
  16. Julie if anyone is going to be successful, it is you! This is a life long journey and you have really rocked it so far. You look great and you even cut the beer out! LOL that will no longer be turning to sugar! This might be a good time to go back to basics. I like LilMissDiva's Basic Boot Camp to help get rid of the cravings for sugar. I pretty much stay away from sugar because it is so addicting for me. I stopped and caught myself reaching for my daughter's bag of M&M peanuts. Wow, I was shocked at myself. At my office we keep chocolate candies in the front office, and I would go up there and eat 3 of them. Then I had my A1C tested and discovered the it had went up from a 6.0 to a 6.3. That was quite shocking to me. So now, NO SUGAR for me! This is such a learning process.
  17. It is so frustrating to be in a plateau and then our fear of not being able to lose any more comes up. That ugly little monster! Your pic looks fantastic! You will lose more weight so hello stores, You will need more cloths!

  22. Be patient and walk, walk, and walk. It is frustrating to not be able to do anything but how often are you told you need to take care of you? This is it for awhile, so try and sit back and relax for a faster recovery time.
  23. Sit back and enjoy the ride. This is why we chose this procedure is so we can shed our excess weight. You are doing great! Lissa is totally right about the amounts of food we can eat at 2 weeks post op. Not much, that's for sure. Make sure you get your water in and protein is extremely important.
  24. I have been using a straw lately bc I can get more liquids in quicker. But if you used a straw and are feeling pain, then it's best to not use them.
