  1. It's a challenge to adjust our vision of ourself. I have read numerous posts where there was a discussion on our bodies becoming a smaller version of our fat self. LOl
  2. This sounds really scary. What is NBM? Where did you have your surgery? Are you feeling better tonight? I hope you are doing better and a lot less pain. CONGRATS on your new journey.
  3. Congrats! Can't wait to hear all the juicy details! Hehehehehe. Best wishes I know you will come out as a winner.
  4. Wow, you lost 50 lbs in 3 months! That's fantastic! It's better to lose the weight a little slower so as to not have so much loose skin. But you will loose slower now that you are closer to goal. Keep doing what your doing and drink a lot of water and get in some exercise. Your doing great! Keep Rocking that Sleeve and you will loose.
  5. Can it be gas? Hope it goes away soon.
  6. CONGRATS! You have done a great job and will continue to Rock that Sleeve! How much do you eat now? Are you still losing your weight?
  7. we were told that we need to walk for 30 minutes a day and at 8 weeks the doc told me that I could do weight bearing exercises.
  8. You will start losing more really soon! Your going tooooo kick A$$ with the exercise. Oh and drink lots of water and take an omega 3 capsule like fish oil or krill. That got things movin for me.
  9. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! You did it! CONGRATS! Your mom is smiling as we speak!
  10. Make a list of things you would like too know. How long has the surgeon been doing these procedures. what kind of diet do they require. Limitations? What size Bouchee are they using? (guide to stapleline) Do they glue, staple, sew stomach shut? These are some questions and maybe others have some suggestions also. Good luck and you will do fine!
  11. It would be pretty hard to drink too much. Just drink as much as you can.
  12. Cataracks: It is devastating when our weight's not moving. But it will. Are you drinking a lot of water. You might start if not already, taking omega 3 fish oil capsules. Eat more fish that are loaded with Omeaga 3's. I like wild caught. I don't see any benefits in eating farm raised. you can do this! look how much you've lost so far. Me I've pretty much have come to a stand still and are only losing ozs. I'm about close to my goal. So I will take whatever I can get. Hehehehehe. Hang in there.
  13. Probably the only way you can stop smoking is if you want to. It's up to you. You might talk with your surgeon about this.
  14. The world is now in the palm of your hands. hehehe. CONGRATS on your new journey!
  15. This is a wonderful NSV! Keep Rockin that Sleeve!
  16. I love what Bionicwoman stated. It is extremely important to prioritize yo in this journey in order to have better health. If your children are in crisis, then it will weigh on you, but know that they have the skills to seek help and it's good for them to be allowed to figure some of this out for themselves. They will be ok with your support, but only if your taking care of yourself. This is a time to role model for your kids what they should be doing for themselves. You are an awesome mom, and it's ok to prioritize you. Missing your protein quota a couple days (3) is not that big of a deal. Just recognize what was going on at the time you didn't get your protein in and be extra careful not to let that happen again. You are doing a great job taking care of yourself. Keep it up.
  17. OMG, I love going into Forever 21 and buying sports jackets and tops. It's such a high. Can spend a lot of money if I'm not careful. I want to wait until my maintenance now. I still have some fears of reverting back to gaining weight. But, I'm not going to let that happen. Here's to healthy eating and a healthy new life style.
  18. Yes, you can expect this behavior more often. You have chosen to be healthy and in this journey, that means healthy eating. I have found myself craving veggies which I totally hated before. Now I enjoy veggies and will totally eat them. I also find that when I eat fish, I tend to lose weight then. I think it's the Omega 3's in the fish, so now I am taking fish oil capsules. They rock! I love eating healthy now.
  19. I didn't check in with my CW since the beginning of this challenge. My weight has fluctuated somewhat. SW 223 CSW: 153.4 CW 153.1 GW 130 I wanted to lose 7 more pounds so my target weight loss total would be 146. Yay, we can do this or get close.
  20. I really didn't have any pain after the surgery, it was difficult to get in and out of bed to go to the bathroom. I did however, push the morphine drip when ever I had a chance. I knew that if I didn't I would have gone stir crazy and wanting to get the HE** out of there. So the morphine helped me stay calm.
  21. Welcome the the BIG LOSER's CLUB! We've been waiting for you to join us. If you have any questions or concerns, pleases feel free to ask us.
  22. Do You track your food on something like myfitnesspal.com? You have done really great losing weight so it might not be a problem for you. And the calories you consume are good. I wouldn't worry about it unless you've started to gain weight. Just relax and enjoy the ride.
  23. Yep, you F***** up royally. So what. Get the cornbread and the oreo cookies out of the house. I take joy in throwing them away now. That's my pleasure. If they're not around you will not be tempted. I would also check out LilMissDiva's Basic Bootcamp in the food and nutrition section and stay on that program for about 3 to 5 days to get the sweet tooth in check. Time to pull up your boot straps and get back to the basics. You can do this, you've done a great job so far! Keep Rockin that Sleeve.
  24. I really like what gmanbat comeback was. Only a pinhead would think that.... Perfect~
