Milkshake?
Really LT? this is kinda harsh. Just giving my opinion and that's what this site is for. We are not BULLIES as you imply. We just choose not to eat the stuff that got us fat to begin with. Some people can't do moderation and some can. No big deal. Not angry or offended just saying I choose not to eat or drink foods that are loaded with calories.

Pain In Both Sides?
It could still be gas or you are over doing it. In all cases, it's good to get advice from your surgeon just in case it's an infection.

Size - To Complain Or Not To Complain, That Is The Ocd Question Lol
Actually, it doesn't hurt to aim at a size 8. I am broad shoulder too and it's frustrating when I buy a jacket that's a size 8 and I can't wear it because my shoulder's are too broad. So I will settle for a size 10 when I have too. All sizes in clothing differ to some degree. I have said before that I would like to wear a size 6, but I don't like snug pants, but I also don't like loose pants. If you don't shoot for a size 8, the worst that will happen is your settle for a 10, depending on the sizing of the manufacturer. However, your body is going to be so hot and sexy your significant other will have a hard time keeping their hands off you! Yayyyyyyy that's success! Use your OCD to taking in your beautiful body size! Yep, you need to love your skinniness now!

Milkshake?
I had this surgery to lose weight and to improve my healthy eating habits. A milk shake is full of sugar and is void from my diet totally. Try exercising or increasing your protein with a protein shake. I love Premier chocolate shakes, it reminds me of a milk shake. It is on my no list forever.

Longest Stall
Liberated sleeve is correct. This is your body readjusting to the big changes you have been going through. Measure your body and watch the difference in inches. This was my favorite time, seeing the inches come off.

Help!
Can you share with us what's going on? What are your triggers (causes) for you to eat more or the wrong foods? What types of foods are you eating? Portion sizes? Let's just get a grip on this right now. you had been very successful in using your sleeve as a tool until now. Now you need to readjust your thinking to the sleeve being a tool. Now use it. Look up LilMissDiva's The Basic Bootcamp diet and get back to the basics. Get rid of all your junk foods. Go back to eliminating the sugars in your diet. And visualize a healthier eating habit to help get back on track. Before you eat, ask yourself, "Am I hungry? Then drink Water to eliminate thirst. This go back to basics. For a couple of days, drink a lot of Soups to cleanse your body of the sugar cravings. You can do this, you've done this before. So what if you gained some back, now it's time to kick a** and get back on track!

Size - To Complain Or Not To Complain, That Is The Ocd Question Lol
So, please let me clarify. If you don't get into your dream size, you are going to have an extreme amount of anxiety? I think we are all somewhat OCDish when it comes to losing weight. This is one of the few times that we have stayed focused and seeing significant results at an extremely fast pace. I also have a goal of getting into a size 6 slacks. I have/had a personal goal of getting down to 130 lbs. I am 5'6" and big boned. Right now i weigh 146 lbs and wear a size 8 in slacks and a medium/small in tops. I prefer the medium's to the smalls because I don't like the snug fit. But yes, my dream size is a size 6 and until I reached that goal,I wouldn't be successful in my eyes. LOL Now I am readjusting this goal, I had seen someone walk by me in a store and she had a weird body shape that scared me. Her trunk was right proportion, but here legs were so skinny that it looked unhealthy. I don't want that for me. I know that since I've lost 77 lbs, my legs feel so light now that it's weird when I walk. I really having done much intensity walking, so today I shall begin. But I want to have nice legs that fit the proportionate size of my trunk. Yes, now I am in maintenance to stay at 146. The OCD part of me says 140 to 145 lbs. Now it's time to just settle with 145 because I am going to feel better. Sorry for the rant, but I believe our bodies are going to settle where they need to be. And yes, since this surgery we have all become OCD in some way. That is our anxiety talking to us.

Frustrated! What Am I Doing Wrong?
This is the hardest part of our journey. Being patient and knowing that our body will lose our weight. I recommend putting away the scale and weighing 1 time per week. Weighing yourself daily is going to drive you crazy. I use to weight daily and now I find myself forgetting to weigh. Such a relief. You are going to lose your weight and have such a wonderful smile on your face for your success! This is a life changing journey and we will reap the benefits of it. Here are some tips for success: Never give up. Keep your goal within reach while staying focused. EXERCISE! Log your calories Surround yourself with a positive support system You can do this! We all can!

Super Saturday Weigh In
I am so sad your going through this struggle right now, but I've noticed that you have lost 100 lbs. This is fantastic. I hate it when I'm not feeling well.. What does your doc say about your acid reflux and what are they doing to help you? I am almost 11 months out and I know that around the 6th month, my weight slowed down drastically to a crawl. It came off little by little and the closer I get to goal, the slower it goes, like zero. I miss the times when I would be dropping the weight like others on here but I have to face the fact that if I did lose tremendously right now, I would look like a skeleton! Don't want to be that extreme. You only have 36 lbs to go. So to baby your tummy because it's not feeling that well right now, try utilizing LilMissDiva's "The Basic Bootcamp" to help you get jump started. If you have difficulty finding it on here, let me know and I believe I have it copied in my docs on my computer. You have come this far and you can do this! We are here to help you achieve what ever it is that you want and need!

Six Pound Gain!?!
I am notorious on gaining weight from water retention as evidenced by my ring. As soon as I drank a green yea the water weight left. Actually muscle poundage weighs the same ad a pound of fat. A pond is a pound. However when building muscle, you can gain weight because ur tearing down the muscle and it repairs itself adding more weight. Don't fret, it will come off.

Just Had Orientation With Kiaser Oc
Congrats on the orientation class. The one thing about the 12 week classes is that it is very informational and thoroughly prepares is for our surgeries. The one thing they do is slant everything to the GBP and really is quite different than the sleeve. After I finished the 12 week class it a couple weeks for dr leport's office to call to set up and appointment ant then I wasn't able to get in for 6 weeks and the surgery was about 2 months after the last class.

Need Advice For Experienced Vsg-Ers
It sounds like ur doc may have a bias for the GBS. Heeans well. Even with the sleeve U may have complications like the GBP. I hope ur able to stand firm and ask for what u want. Both the wls will help with losing weight.

I'm Home
The surgery scared the Cr** out of me too! I also had previous surgeries and wasn't even concerned. This one was different. Maybe because it's an elective surgery and not knowing causes us additional fears.

This Feels Weird...
I'm glad that your going to check with your surgeon. It may just be a spasm but why take chances and the surgeon would be the one to determine what's going on. Please keep us updated as to what the surgeon tells you. Thinking of you!

Wedding Ring Issues?
Due to my weight gain, I had to put my ring in my jewelry box because i always told myself that I would loose the weight. Ha, I never did. Short story short, I have had rings fall off my finger in the weight loss process and I don't wear a wedding ring now. I will buy one as soon as I know that I'm at my goal weight. I remember we use to wrap yarn around the rings that were too big so they wouldn't fall off.

Fats?
I don't really worry about fats. I eat a lot of nuts (increase in fats), butter when cooking, and olive oil. I have lost quite a lot of weight and am loving it. I do wonder about what it's doing to my body, but I'm taking in such small quantities that I rationalize it as being ok.

Labor Day Challenge 2012
Leaveittosleeve: Losing 1 lb a week is awesome. We don't lose the same amount of weight each week, it varies. The only thing we can control is how health and nutritious is the food that we put in our mouths and how much exercise we get. If you don't make your challenge this time, you will next time. Good luck everyone on making your challenges! I know I'm not going to make my challenge and I'm happy with that today, but may not be tomorrow. No sweat, I got this!
