  1. So sorry this is happening to you. It doesn't seem fair. Sending you positive thoughts......
  2. I am scheduled for radiology on October 1 just to be sure. It sounds like a long time though. This is something that I will be watching for. Thank you. I'm going to email my PCP and ask what he thinks about putting me on Unigall. I do want to know what the side effects of this medication is. I'm also looking into some herbal ingredients to cleanse my gallbladder. Don't know if that's hype or not. Thank you everyone for your input. Now I know what to look for.
  3. CONGRATS! your almost there. I would do some research on the internet for prices for vitamins because I buy them over the internet as long as they're in a different state than mine. That way I don't pay for taxes and sometimes I get a really good price. also I make sure that shipping is free.....
  4. It's time to go back to basics. Cut your calorie intake back to 900 - 1000 and start moving around more. I know that I am 11 months out and have stopped losing a while back. But I'm pretty much at goal weight right now. You body needs a real shock right now and if you've ever read LilMissDiva's "The Basic Bootcamp" your notice that the people that have tried it has been very successful. I still eat Protein first, some veggies, and some starches. I need to go back on the basic bootcamp so I can get rid of my sweet tooth right now. So I just located it on my desktop and I'm going to paste it here so you can decide if you'd like to try it or not. Good luck. Your really not done, so keep working that sleeve. By LilMissDiva! The BASICS BOOTCAMP: For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only... Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter. Veggies: Green only. Fruits: None. Breads/Cereals/Other Carbs: None. Fluids: One gallon of Water (128 oz.) or Protein drinks. Avoid: Sugar and Sodium Once the 5 days are over, I am pretty much over the Sugar Carb Demon. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate carbs! I do need them to live a healthy life and since I workout a lot it is important I have them. However, I need GOOD carbs. Whole grains, fruits, veggies... But I don't need processed sugars. White carbs, in cereals, breads, rice... etc.
  5. I'm 11 months out and am having days like this now. Seems to happen more when I don't eat dense proteins first though.
  6. Hi everyone, I have a question. I had my blood work up for my 1 year post op and my bilirubin level is above normal. Everything else is fine. My PCP wants me to get an abdominal x-ray and is asking me if I have any pain in abdominal area. I don't have any pain and I feel really good. So has anyone had the same experience or am i headed for gallstones or something? I am not really sure what to think.
  7. Actually, I didn't take anything. Well, I took me. I guess I wasn't thinking clearly. I could of used some chapstick, but that was it. I stayed for 2 nights.
  8. OMG! I love them! They are so perfect...... However, food for thought, a friend of mine didn't know what sleeved meant when I posted something and it went to my facebook page. This is a great way to educate others I would think.
  9. This is really good to hear. I hope your incision site stops bleeding,it is much easier to recover at home. I was told I would have 5 incision sites, but I got 6 which the doc proudly announced when I seen her. At that point, I didn't really care, I just wanted to be left alone and go back to sleep. I loved my morphine pump. LOL CONGRATS and welcome to the BIG LOSER'S BENCH! you are going to be so skinny really, really soon.
  10. Can't wait for you to join us on the BIG LOSER'S BENCH! Happy trails and wake up and use your morphine drip!
  11. That's awesome! Such great news! A new bod and a new life coming into this world to bless you!
  12. Sometimes it hard to when people don't comment about my weight loss and then I have to re-frame my thoughts to, "I did this for me and this is my new new skinniness, and I love it." That's my reality check, it's for me and it was frickin hard work to get here. So happy we are all supportive of each other.
  13. Your not done yet! Pretty soon those muscles are going to burn, burn, and burn more calories! That's a good thing. Good to see you on here, it's been a long time since I've seen you.
  14. I've been getting her stuff for over a year. I like what she has to say and she's always promoting other people's stuff.
  15. Mine is looking at my size 8 pants and they look so tiny. yet I can fit into them, some are really loose too. Another is when my bones clank against each other.
  16. We are always going up to Big Bear Lake and staying in our cabin. It's so beautiful! I have learned to hate the contractors up there though! Ughhhhhhhh! I will have to look into Silverwood.
  17. THat doesn't sound like much of a problem I'd have, i stop losing a while back and would love to lose about 5 more lbs. Now I'm getting ready to jump backin.
  18. Sad about the cubicle, but jealous about the kayaking! Yayyyyyyyyy!
  19. I went on ebay and looked up dessert plates and bought some that are so pretty and just the right size. I also bought dessert bowls that are perfect portion sizes. i also have my husband eating off them too.
  20. A little banana is good, the protein shake is the better choice. It will also count as a liquid so it does take care of thirst. I can only eat 1/2 a medium banana at one time.
  21. CONGRATS to both of you! You will both be so scared you will want to just run! But that's normal so hang in there and just do it! you will have a nice sleep after the procedure.
  22. It is normal to get a little hungry within a couple of hours. I do, but I also am looking into drinking more water now, because some of my hunger is thirst and I just didn't know how to recognize it. You can have a small snack in between meals to hold you over. My NUT told me to eat some fruit. So I do. Hang in there and CONGRATS on your successes!
  23. He wasn't a keeper. You didn't loose him because of your decision to have a surgery, he was already 1 step out the door. It's time to take care of yourself and focus on getting this done and recovery. The next guy will be a keeper and love you for who you are and respect that you value yourself enough to make a life saving choice like this! Keep it up!
  24. It would be more helpful if we had more information like when was your procedure, how much do you eat? What stage of the diet are you in?
  25. Catracks: You have missed a lot! LOL
