I'm a crabby, moody, sensitive moon child; who loves to stay at home. I have been told I'm very artistic, intuitive and an old soul....
  6. Hey Christina AKA miss bitch Congratulations!
  7. Pork chops, pork ribs, hot dogs....but I can do bacon
  8. I can relate, it's the worst pain, but wash it down with pepsi...owe...that's like slow death. I'm sure you'll never do that again. Everything I put in my mouth...I think about it first, cause I've learned the hard way.
  9. The Lords hands are upon you
  10. WOW 41.5 lbs since 4/29. I was rebanded on 3/31 and have only lost 11 lbs. I don't plan on having a fill for a long time. I can barly get 3 bites of chicken in before I get the hicups (my sign to stop). For me it's a matter of more excersizing...hey we're loosing!!! I can understand getting the fill process and seeing how it's done, especialy under fluoroscopy. Wishing you luck and patients
  11. So proud of you too! Yesterday when I first read this post it had me pissed off. I went off thinking about issues like insecurities, who paid for the band, fears of you leaving him...then today I'm reading all the wonderful posts of knowledge. The main thing my soul mate said when I got the band is "This is for your Health!" Please keep smiling! I love all the phrases on the thread...What's an electric dog polisher? If I took tools away from my man he'd die...
  12. OK Brad I thought the same as the others...it's TUBING. While having a fluoroscopy check of my band the radiologist had me moving all different directions and I could see my tubing moving with my body as well. Very interesting indeed cause I pointed that out to the doc, he laughed and said the tubing has to flex with your body. In my case he gave an extra service loop near the port. I'd guess my tubing was about 9 inches from the looks of it. As far as pain while bending over, If I'd had just drank of eaten anything recently and bend over, I get an odd pain/discomfort in my chest. Even if I lie down shortly after drinking or eating I have issues...
  13. Too cool!! saw the 2nd link. What's with all the bubbles? Thanks
  14. Hello and Congratulations!!
  15. LivinNY, I just posted this on another tread. You'll be able to see the contrast leaking out, where as saline you can not see at all under fluoro.
  16. Leak in the port is a easy fix, replace the port and that's it. Finding the leak is most of the problem and most leaks are in the port. They might keep you awake through the procedure and you'll feel a lot of tugging. Just keep asking for meds!!! It should'nt take more than 15 minutes. Keep us posted and relax. Your on the mend.
  17. I have had 3 people close to me with cancer related problems within the last 2 months. Billys sister had a lump-ectomi(sp) two weeks ago and now needs kemo, his other sister has tyroid cancer. And whats with the price of gas? one day it's 2.25 then 2.45 the next. So sorry to hear about the 2 year old killed by a bus
  18. So I'm on my boat this weekend and this crazy jetskier all most plowed into our boat. Hello!! How could you not see us? Lisa, the moon (cresent right now) is in line with mars and the sun. This only happens once every 2 years. Cops think they have more rights then "normal" people. Once a cop had a gun up to the side of my face, and anther cop had a shotgun slammed in my back. They were looking for someone (wrong place at the wrong time), In a very normal voice I kept saying "get the gun off my back" and all he could say was "don't make me nervous". As you can imagin, I'll never forget that feeling. They found the guy and my remark was "what gives you the right!" not even a sorry lady...
  19. Prilosec helps me, I don't get heartburn all the time, about 4 times a week. Dr. McKeen prescribed Prilosec in pakage form that you mix with 2 tlbs of water. He said I don't have to take it every day, just when I need it. But not more than once a day. I havn't had a fill yet, so I don't have an unfill option. If after a few days you still get bad heartburn, you may need an unfill. A tiny bit can make the biggest difference.

I tried and tried. I'm sore everywhere!! I did manage to get up off the Water for about 3 seconds... Well it's back to work. Hope everyone had a good holiday
  24. Shannon I might just call myself the leak queen... First was your fill conducted under fluoroscopy, that's the only way to see a leak. The two leak checks I've had were with contrast(omniplaque). The contrast is put in the port and you watch under xray/fluoroscopy, following the contrast up the tubing to the band. Some leaks are so small it's very hard to detect. Look for kinks in the tubing, that's where mine was. Most leaks are in the port or tubing, I was rebanded due to my tubing being repaired but the repair didn't work. So my Dr. decided to reband me. That was his decision and rebanding is not always recommended. If you really think you have a leak, you must convince your doctor to investigate. Eating a burger and hotdog right after a fill doesn't mean you have a leak. Not getting any saline out raises some questions...was he really in your port for sure?
  25. I love Propel I usually water it down.
