  1. Alexandra Wishing the best for you!
  2. I water skied!!! It had been 10 years since I’ve gotten up on skis; I made an attempt 3 months ago with no avail. Then yesterday I got up on double skis on my second try and again on the next try. I think I skied for a total of 300 ft. but it felt like a mile. I still can’t believe I did it.
  3. Thanks for posting Paula, I was thinking about you as well.
  4. worked with a guy named Dick Master, when he was paged over the intercom, we'd all say "Bates"
  5. Please call your Doctor, they'll properly say it's common. But just check
  6. Geez I called Dr. Pepper Glorified prune juice (main Ingredient) Had a sinny neice addicted to it. Best and Good luck to you!
  7. Congratulation!! It feels so good!
  8. Chomping on big burgers...The Music has kept me sane! Theres nothing that taste as good as being thin!! I'm on the verge of 169!!@! That feels so good
  9. Hello Ruthie(my middle name) I went threw alot of contreversy I even called Don Mills at Inamed about the VG band, yes it’s indented for large BMI’s but I truly believe it’s a lease risk of slippage or erosion… so take the good and bad. I’d take your band to the need of restriction even if it mens 9 cc’s….I think these bands could possible could hold more, but your just startinging out. Ruthie these bands do work with good restriction. Mexican doctor placed my band and my second band. Some good Mexican doc's and some bad…I adore Dr. Sanchez…I don’t know who banded you, but I heard that Dr. Ren of NY only uses VG band because of low erosion/slippage… Good Luck!
  10. I feel great! Been doing good for 4 weeks now, no pain killers! I've even lost 5lbs. in the last six weeks.
  11. Good Morning Miss Zoe That is a huge fibroid!!! Over a year ago when I went to my doc complaining the first word she said was hysterectomy. I was no way, I felt like my womanhood would be taken away. Then there was Billy’s famous line “your ganna bleed to death” and oh the cramps. I only had my Uterus removed. Kept my cervix and ovaries. I believe in if theirs nothing wrong with them why cut them out. It’s been six weeks, just yesterday my doctor released me back to work. For the record you can still get PMS symptoms every month but I haven’t had a drop of blood or a cramp! Oct 3rd is a while to wait, I hope your not in pain. Good luck with everything and keep us posted.
  12. Hi Ruthie and Mercedes Dr. McKeen does my fills here in San Jose Ca.(his main office), he is in Utah maybe once a month, mostly to perform band surgeries cause it's cheaper there then here. 14,500 compared to 20k. Good to hear about Dr. Green, I'm sure he's good if he's refered by Dr. McKeen, his price sounds fair. Angeleyes, hope all is well!
  13. Take care of yourself! Unfill is a wise choice. So, tell us about your trip to Calif...how's your brother?
  14. Welcome back!!
  15. My first fill yesterday ended up at 1.3cc. My doctor put in 1.5 and had me drink water, I could feel the water slowly and I mean slowly move down. So I had him take some out. I'm able to sip not gulp and I sure am burping alot. I believe the 9.75 is the smallest band and best band for low BMI'ers. People with bigger bands are having a hard time feeling restriction. Good Luck
  16. Me too! I thought that was odd...not anymore...I'm not the only one! weird password (way too many #'s), great web-sight
  17. Congratulations Karen! I'm going in for my first fill with my new band today. Looking forward to gurgles and sipping. Dr. McKeen in SJ does blind fills also but numbs you up first. Did Dr. Cirangle do your fill in SF? Did he remove any air or just add saline? Hate those looong needles, I wont watch.
  18. Vera replied to NJChick's topic in The Lounge
water skiing as soon as my doc says go, I'm going to try again
  19. Chicken Chilli Egg salad Tuna salad Turkey anything... hard shell taco, meatloaf, meat patty w/onion & tomatoe slice *most of my foods have a lubricant such as mayo, ranch or bar-b-q... Mornings have been cottage or ricotta cheese. Fruits are abundant as the last filler at the end of meals peanuts and jerkey work good for a snack
  20. When were you banded? August 14, 2003 What was your weight ON DAY OF SURGERY? 244 lbs What is your weight now? 174 lbs What size do you wear? 12 How tall are you? 5'5.5
  21. Orchids...very tricky plant. I've had some for years and others just a few weeks before I kill them. When the flowers die cut the stem just below the last flower, you may get another bud shoot or the hole stem may die. It's worth a try, I've got a few shoots over the years. Water once a week, not on the leaves, furtilize once a month. I've never transplanted an Orchid, they like tight pots, but have heard to transplant ever 2 years?? African violets are a bit like Orchids Bamboo is hard to kill, at least the stuff that grows outside. Good Luck
  22. no matter now tight I was, I could always eat chips.
  23. Joy to the world You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your lips And there's no tenderness like before in your fingertips You're trying hard not to show it, baby But baby, baby I know it
  24. I've yet to have a fill with this band after 4 months and have restriction off and on depending on time of day, how fast I eat and what I eat. Sound like your doing fine, restristion comes in all different ways.
  25. I'm so Happy for you. Everything happens for a reason!
