  1. watching it now...thanks!!
  2. maybe if you cut your food up smaller that will help with not having to chew so much?? Just throwing it out there, not sure if it can help, I'm getting my sleeve in 9 days!! yeee!
  3. yeah but atleast with the sleeve you are not really limited to what you can eat...unless you just dont like it anymore or it truly disagrees with your new system... With this band I have a hard time eating anything healthy....oranges, apples, cabbage, broccolli, grapes...just cant
  4. PLEASE I beg you to take your number off of here and private message her it....there are alot of people here who are scammers.....please please take your number off and IM her... just looking out for ya!!
  5. I'm in Texas and my revision is 17,700....he charges 12 or 13K for just sleeves....nevermind Rick Perry, Texas is still in the US...lol
  6. I would ask doctors in your area for their self-pay fees....usually doctors and hosptials over charge insurances to see how much it will actually pay them...mines is $17,700 and I'm in Houston...some people travel to other states to get surgeries too...
  7. I'm in Houston and my doc is in our medical center here.....he charges 17,700, I'm self-pay too, my insurance has a total exclusion on WLS....it will pay for me to do Optifast, but not WLS, stupid!
  8. aawweee, thank you, as I do you...you have already lost so much weight before even having the procedure, that's like major "thumbs up", and now taken charge to bring us June sleevers together, that was BIG! I can't wait for all of us to be on the "looser's bench" ! I think the other months are jealous now! LOL
  9. Thanks for sharing....I love to cook and cant wait to start cooking post-op!!
  10. SOunds like you guys are ready...I will be preparing this week for next weekend....
  11. I got my band in 2005 and initally lost 40 pounds....ans stayed at 40 pounds lost for a year....then gained it back....I've been staying at the same weight every since. I went on weight watchers (per my doctor's nurse suggestion) and lost 15 pounds and couldn't lose any more...so I looking into revision....now I am scheduled for revision in 9 days!! SO excited...alittle nervous, but mostly excited
  12. So far so good, I suggest keeping protien drinks and sugar-free jello around you...I only eat if my stomach grumbles....
  13. I'm currently drinking the cocoa from your picture, its really good, its 2 of my 5 protien drinks every day during this pre-op diest phase....The lemon Razy is good, but I would suggest to use 12oz of water instead of the 8....the 8oz tasted like concentrated kool-aid to me... good luck and keep us posted!!
  14. IKR!! So happy happy happy!!....I'm in the home stretch....11 more days....
  15. congrats on your revision...I will be going for revision in June....how was your pain in the hospital compared to when you had the band placed in??
  16. I carry tic tacs....they are so minty they numb my mouth a little....I suck on 1 or 2 when I really want to chew....you only have 9 more days....I have 12 more....
  17. It will get better, I'm in the middle of my second week (have 12 more days)...I hit the wall last thursday, and its been pretty ok since, I avoid being around alot of food unless I have a protien shake with me...
  18. You probably need to find another doctor's office, someone who is willing to work with with you.....that's not fraud, they approved the band to be removed...the surgeon bill them for that....and bill you for the sleeve.... How is it that people who have rotten insurance (like me) get hernia repair and pay like 6,000 more for the sleeve procedure because their insurance doesn't cover it??? That's not fraud, the surgoen is billing for what he or she did and getting the rest from you...
  19. I would see if you can get the insurance to cover the unbanding and pay for the sleeve out of pocket....so you will not have pay for hospital and what not
  20. I'm June 11th as well...no need to buy any clothes right now...I think I have 3 different sizes in my 2 closets (I've lost and found 100 pounds twice before) plus I dress for comfort, not style.....so I will work with those until people began to complain about them being too big! LOL
  21. hhmmm, ok, thank you for the response massageME! I was wondering....
  22. Just Wondering.... Any of you go get massages on a regular basis?? Do they help with weightloss... It seems in theory it would because they help circulate blood throughout the body... just wondering... thought I would put the question out there....
