  1. I have my surgery on Monday, then 2 more weeks of liquids.....then pureed/mushies, I guess when I get to this phase I can use the blender so it will feel like I'm sort of cooking... I love to cook too....my pinterest board is crazy, since I can't cook, I've been pinning all kinds of stuff....I know half of it I will not even desire to fix when I'm able to cook again!
  2. cant wait to cook again...I spend my pass time clipping low carb recipes..good job! I really like egg face's recipes
  3. Now it is true that some medical facilities will not allow operations on people who are over a certain BMI...its not the doctor, its the facility....alot of times doctors use facilities to keep the costs down on patients who are self-pay....when I got my Lapband I had it done in a facility as a day procedure, Dr. Spivak did that to keep the cost down for his patients.... Some facilities will take the risk others will not... The reason why I know this is because in 2010 when I was undergoing my 2nd knew procedure, my doctor wanted to use a facility to keep the costs down for my insurance, but my BMI was too high, so I had to go to a hospital to have the procedure....
  4. Oh congrats!! Doesnt it feel good when everything falls into place!!
  5. yes! I bought the strawberry creme and chocolate.....
  6. I had a dream the other night I woke up during the procedure and sat up on the operating table....and I'm looking like WTH and Dr. Yu looking at me like WTH and I popped up in bed....
  7. Its true that people can be rude with the comments they make....when that happens, the ball is then in your court...either you fake laugh and pretend to hang with them and be "friends" with then OR you choose to not f*ck with them anymore.... But dont drop to their level....let trash talk stay in the trash area....
  8. There is a group I started called Houston Area WLS Active Buddies on http://www.meetup.com we've already had a meeting in May....our next meeting is this coming Saturday, June 9th @11:30 Location...well log in and join so you can see....we already have 18 members in the Houston area.....come out this coming saturday to help us iron out the details for our next couple of meetups!!
  9. She told you the truth in the last statement...she would do it to if she had courage....those kind of people I let what they say go in one ear and out the other...if you are motivated to do something permanent about your health issues, you will do....whether insurance will pay or not.... I'm stepping out on faith and hope, I am paying for mines out of pocket...enough is enough, I'm going to do something about my health (again) and this is permanent....something the lapband did not do for me...
  10. I just registered onto myfitnesspal, my cousin told me about it and she loves it...

  20. I wanna join the super secret group please!
  21. Maybe you can eat some SF popsciles too?? and some broth as well??? My doc included that into my pre-op diet...
  22. I chosed to do Medifast instead of Optifast...they are basically the same, but Medifast is more popular....my insurance covered the doctor visits for both...depends on your testing results you do one of 3 plans, 1) eat/drink 4 Meal Replacements and have one lean and green meal, 2) eat/drink 5 meal replacements and have one lean and green meal, or 3) eat/drink 4 meal replacements and have 2 lean and green meals....and you can have pickles, SF popsciles, and SF Jello as Snacks....I did it for 4 weeks and lost 25 pounds, but couldn't take it anymore, I wanted to eat food, not drink shakes all the time...
  23. IKR 9 more days!! I'm pretty much coasting through...I have times when I want to eat....I just try to focus on something else....like today I'm working on research so my mind is occupied...
