The old, fat me wanted to punch the new, thinner me in the face today while I was out shopping. I was whining about there not being enough smalls and 2s for me.

Stalled for a couple of months, but people are commenting on body changes and I got into a smaller size the other day. My jeans are all getting too big. So weird the way our bodies work!

Well....hopped on bathroom scale this morning...322 on one...went and used the HD scale and it read 325. This officially drops me from a 58 BMI down to 39. 153 lbs lost and the ship is still sailing. Feels damn good... so grateful for this sleeve gift. So grateful for the friends found here at Bariatric Pal.

Happy New Year to All of You! I stepped on the scale this morning, hoping to have lost 100lbs since I started 4 months ago. I did it! I am actually down 102 pounds. so excited to start this Healthy New Year and a Healthy New Me!

Finished the Ugly Sweater 5k in less than an hour with dilly-dallying at the hot chocolate station to take pictures of inflatable reindeer. There was a time I would have had to push to my limits and taken over 2 hours...

I'm definitely going to need an electric blanket. I'm so cold and it's only November!!!

Although im still hot flashing some, I notice I get cold easier than before WLS. What continues to be a HUGE help is wearing a warm fleece or quilted type vest, and wearing a loose cotton scarf around my neck, and a cute knitted beanie all the time. The vest keeps your core warm so the body heat can spread to your extremities. Since your neck and head are already warm ( scarf and beanie! ) , its hot flash time !!

Just realized I am no longer Morbidly Obese and not even Severely Obese - just plain ol' obese now (based on BMI anyway). Hmmm..... strange that actually sounds good?

Today is my 6 month surgiversary and I'm down 83 lbs. I couldn't be happier. New pics coming on Friday!!!

My BMI has gone down from 39.6 to 27.5!! Officially just 'overweight'. I am spending more time on another site now but will pop back here every now and again :-)

Well congrats on your weight loss so far, great job ! I do think its because you may look so different. You and I are the same height, and almost the same starting and ending weight. I just think weight loss is more noticable for us shorter people. As long as you're healthy, take it as a compliment ! Congrats again !!

When I started the approval process over a year ago I had no idea that my son would be getting engaged. In one week I will be going to his wedding. I am down to 178 lbs today, a total weight loss of 60+ . Sleeved May 26. I still look in the mirror and see an obese person and still feel obese.

Is jerky cooked or just dried? I want to try it, but my brain thinks it's raw meat and I just can't.

I just read my package of Oberto All Natural Teriyaki Beef Jerky, it says "minimaly processed" . They can't sell raw meat in a package like that, it has to be edible right out of the package, so its not "raw meat ." It really good, high in protein, a good portable snack. I also like Oberto Turkey Jerky, taste very mild, you might start with that one !

Wanted to stop in an say hey, tell you whats up. Swimming is it, the answer ive been looking for. its working ! Down another 9 pounds! Now swimming 4-5 days a week, for 11/2 hours, non stopping! life is good, feeling great
