Home from work and getting caught up on stuff. It's been snowing all day so I'm not sure if I will make it to church. Anyway, at work this morning I got there at 8am and opened. I sat for over 1 1/2 hours before anyone showed up. Finally a small stream of people came in. I had 9 all total. So the last one was leaving at 11:35 and we close at noon. She asked if I had to stay and I told her no, that I was headed out the door in a few I needed to get things closed up. I just finished shutting down the computer when I see a faithful patron pull in the parking lot. I had already put the closed sign up. Crap. So I finished doing what I started and thought I would still stay and let her exercise. She must have seen the closed sign because by the time I could get to the door, she was pulling out. I felt bad but we do close at 12 and it is a 30 minute work-out. At best she would have gotten a 20 minute one. I'll talk to her monday about it. So I came home and pulled some chicken out and boiled it. I made a pot of chicken noodle soup. I cleaned out the leftovers from the fridge and got it cleaned up. I'm not eating a bowl of chicken taco salad. Yummy. Michelle, what a cool idea about the eraser board. One way to keep you on track. And I like the fact that it is so accesible. Sure glad to hear thet Reggie is settling in. Good doggie. Kat, that is excellent news about the child support, just don't let what is happening in his family put a damper on any happy occasion that you guys have going. I realize that his mother doesn't have long to live and that is very tragic. I really hate to sound like a cold hearted biotch right now, but Life goes on. You and Rick still have to live. Be there when she needs you but also live your own lives. My Dad made sure that we had laughter when he was dying. He knew how hard it was going to be for us but he also knew that we still lived and had to go on with a heavy heart. So he tried with all his might to bring a smalie to our faces. Keep Rick at the first thing you do every day and the last thing you do. His family will survive. Tracy, I am so looking forward to our visit this summer. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to find a little part time job to do while the girls are in school. Jenn, I'm so excited about you starting your new job and very jealous about all your walking. I'm so waiting for spring to be here. Wait, it is spring. What the hell is it doing snowing outside than. Crazy world.

I have to get out in it to go to work than I have to work at church tomorrow evening. And than I will be going over to the neighbors for pizza and game night. All in this snow. Hubby and I went to Long John Silvers for lunch and I got to eat one piece of fish. I love Lent. Fish. Well, off to bed. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Good Morning Girls. I'm up, barely. I woke up around 2am. Went to the bathroom, got back in bed and laid there for I don't know how long before I fell back to sleep. Next thing I know the alarm is going off. Ugggghh. We had a beautiful day here yesterday and they are calling for another one today. Then tomorrow a winter storm warning has been posted. Holy Cow. When is spring going to be here. I'll check in later today. I'm working another double shift. Make it a good one.

Hey. 2 more days of a very long and hectic week. Everything went wonderful at the funeral. I was so overwhelmed with the amount of people that showed up. I don't think I have ever seen that many people. It was a beautiful service and the people that spoke did a wonderful job. The singing was beautiful also, they started off with Danny Boy and finished up the service with Galway Bay. Tears were flowing the whole time. After everyone started to leave, we left and went to her brothers house for a gathering. He built a big bonfire out back and we hung around there. He had a friend come over and cook corned beef and cabbage and a whole lot of other foods. We got home late and went straight to bed. Suzy, so glad to hear that things are going good for you guys. You hear so many horror stories. But if not making her bed and brushing her teeth is the worst, than you have it made. I will still keep all of you in my prayers. Kat, what a mess those people make. Hang in there. Tracy, I would love to find a PT job. Not like the one I have. I would love to get on at the hospital or something with more of a challenge and meaning to it. And more than minimum wage would be nice. I have a full shift tomorrow and than have to work saturday also. Saturday may not be to bad, they are calling for snow. It might be a real slow day for me. Have a great evening.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day to You. Today is my nephew Luke's 30th. Birthday. Gosh, to be 30 again. lol. Raining here but I hope it clears up later for the funeral. First I have to go get my Sis and take her to a Doc's appointment. Than I will come home and get dressed in Greens. The Obit asked for everyone to wear their green today. I cooked my Corned Beef yesterday. I don't make cabbage because I can't stand the smell of it. Yucky. But I love Corned Beef. Have a good day and I'll check in later. Prayers to all who are in need of them.

Oh Kat, your MIL will be in my prayers. I will also keep the rest of the family there and wish for them guidance in how to deal and accept what is happening. It's so hard to know how to act when you recieve news like that. I remember being stunned when the Doc called us about our Father's cancer. Keep your heart and minds open. Thank you for the kind words. I look forward to celebrating her life with the rest of the family. I'll be gone for most of the day tomorrow. I'll try to check in when I can. Jenn. I'm so proud of you and extremely happy about your new job. I wonder how Gia is still adjusting to her new life.

Yeah, I'm ok. I woke up at 4:30 when my alarm went off and I laid there for a few seconds and was afraid that I might fall back to sleep. So I got up and got into my early morning routine. It's just that I have a really hectic week with working some double shifts, taking sister to Doc appointments and to top it off I have to go to a funeral tomorrow. It's a long story but a cousin of mine has been on life support for a long time and they decided Saturday to turn everything off. She lasted 5 minutes and then was gone. I have been every week to the hospital to see her for the last 2 months. She fell down a flight of stairs and fell thru the railing and landed 10 feet down in to the living room. She broke 3 vertebrate in her neck, collar bone, ribs hip and thumb. All on her right side. The side she landed on. It was a dominoe effect with her. Once one thing started to fail than something else would go wrong. She fought long and hard to get back and was making a good stride but suffered another set back due to some blood thinners. She went down hill from there. She was only 49 years old. I'm going to miss her terribly but not those trips to the hospital. That side of my Family is all Irish. So her funeral being on St. Patrick's Day is going to be strange but I imagine, knowing my family, that there will be a huge celebration afterwards. There will be a lot of toasting and singing. Now I off to work again. These double shifts make for a long day. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Jenn, I am so excited for you. What a great thing to hear. I hope all goes well for you and that this is a wonderful beginning to a long career. Kat, I was once like you. My sister would get on me about it saying that some time someone is going to pull a gun on me. It may have stopped me from speaking my mind but doesn't stop me from giving the ugly stares. It must work, I see people back off or stop what they were doing. I got to work at 6am and sat there for over 2 hours before anyone showed up. I was texting another co-worker and was telling her I was thinking about going out and standing on the curb with a box of donuts and try to entice people to come in. I was even thinking about calling hubby and having him come in to work out so I could show my boss that at least one person came in. So about 8:30 I finally had a full house, just in time for my boss to come in. It's not my fault that people are not coming in. I just don't want her to change our hours. I have class tonight and than will be headed right to bed. I have to be at work again at 6am. and than a short trip to Wal-Mart. Hope you are having a great day, even you Kat.

Kat, that's a lot of snow for a quick storm. Glad you got the fertilizer down. I went to the Support Group meeting yesterday. It was a really good one. Came home and did some stuff here at the house and then went to church. Last night I went downstairs and watched "Bolt" with Sis and BIL. What a cute movie. Today I have spent most of it working on the quilt tops. This design is more tedious then the last one. Lots of piceing together. I won't have them done by this weekend to turn in but that's ok because I have 5 others that I will be. We only need 4 total. So I'm good. Getting ready to fix chicken tacos and beef tacos for dinner. Yummy.

Home from a mile on the treadmill and a mile on the bike. Went to hubby's eye appointment right nextdoor. Came home, showered, pedicure and now going to make some scrambled eggs. Cold dreary day here so it looks like I should get a lot done on the quilt tops. Kat, if you want you can send me your pics and I can downsize them. Just send them to my regular e-mail. Make it a good one.

Ok, I'm up. Now I have to get my butt ready for the gym. I had real active dreams last night Nothing scary. In fact they were kind of humourous. But very active, when they are like that then I wake up exhausted. My dreams wear me out. I got a lot of sewing done yesterday. I have to turn my quilt tops in next weekend and I need to get them done. I have a real busy week ahead of me and may not have to much time to work on them. So hopefully I can finish them up by sunday. Michelle, so glad you checked in.

Kat, I love that haircut. I wish my hair was full and long like that. But I have to suffice with this thin flyaway mop.

Good Morning. Tracy, I have tried those Cheerios. Yummy. Also the Chocolate Chex. I eat them right out of the box. I haven't bought any but my sister has them at her place and grab some when I am over there. Enjoy your day. Kat, Glad to hear about your Mom. I hope sure has a quick recovery. I've had a few problems with mine but that was years ago. Knock on wood it is still doing good. Not looking forward to having it removed. Today is a I need to get these things done kind of day. Just a bunch of stuff that I have put off and now have to get around to getting them done. Make it a good one.

Suzy, I just find it hard to think that someone doesn't want a child. I know that there are people that give children up for adoption and they do it so that the child has a chance at a better life. I'm talking about people like her father. I wonder whatever happened to him to have feelings like that. Maybe he was not taken care of and has no idea how to take care of a child, who knows. But what I do know is Thank God there are people like you and your family in this world. People who can open their hearts and homes to help out. God Bless you. Kat, I am keeping Lee in my prayers. I know what a terrible struggle it is to keep ones blood sugars under control. I watched my Mom fight it for years. Poor thing. Gross subject here. I've been taking stool softners for a few days now and really needed to go. I guess I should have used a suppository also. I hate having issues like this. And I even drink a ton of water a day. Well, after a 3 hour fight this morning, I am finally free. At last. lol. Off to Home Depot with the hubby. He won't let me go by myself. He says I have to much fun there. And yes I do. I love that store.

Cindy, That is horrible. What does it take for the Principle to understand that the kid does not belong there. He needs more help than what you guys can give him. How scary and stressful that must be. I will be thinking of you. Just finished watching the "Hangover" with Sis and BIL. We laughed so hard. What an hysterical movie. This was the second time I have seen it, I wanted both of them to watch it also. Too funny. Off to bed because hubby already asked me if I was going to the gym with him in the morning. I need to go and work off the damage that I did today. Kat, still keeping Rick in my prayers.

Hey there. I have a few minutes before I have to take dinner out of the oven. Still trying to get used to dinner this early but so far it is working out for me. No more rolaids at night. Tracy, I love the ring. I wish I could wear stuff like that. I see so many pretty things out there. I just have to chubby fingers to carry it off. As far as WW goes, at weigh-in in monday I was down 6.4 pounds. Not bad for my first week. We'll see what the next week brings. Not starting off to good. Kat, Hope you get a lunch date. I too will keep Rick and his job in my prayers. Michelle, Your DD is so cute and Reggie looks like he is a lot of fun. I hope you guys are settleing in. Jenn, did you say that you walked 6 miles? Holy Crap. I so look forward to the day I can do that. You are my inspiration. Where have Cindy, Irene, and Kelly been hiding???? A rainy day here and a little on the cool side. Make me want to take a nap. But I'll stay up and just go to bed early tonight. Hope everyone is having a good day.

I like the name Reggie better than Monk also. Good luck with him. We grilled out and it was wonderful. I did some yard work, hubby got the Harley out and let it run for a little bit. We took doggie for a walk and than went and sat with the neighbor for about an hour. Now it's time to get ready for the Oscars.

Hey Girls. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I know I am. Even with as busy as I have been. I took out some hamburger meat and we are going to grill this afternoon. It's supposed to get up into the low 50's. Oh My. Right now I'm trying to get all my housework done so I can get out with the kitties later. We need to enjoy the day because rain is on it's way. I went over to my neighbors yesterday and spent about 5 hours over there. We ended up watching the movie "The Hangover". It was hysterical. I've been trying to spend some time with her, she's going thru a deression right now. Having severe husband problems. She just needs a girlfriends shoulder to cry on. One of the girls at work traded my thursday for her tuesday. Yes, now I will have a 5 day weekend. What will I do with myself????? Sometime today I need to get a little more work done on the quilts. I have 2 weeks to get them done before I have to turn them in. Hope everyone is having a good time.

Good Morning Girls. I have a few minutes before I have to head off to work once again. I was really busy all day yesterday and did ask Kat to post for me. It was so cool talking to her, wish it could have been longer. But I just needed to hear from someone who had gone thru this before. I've heard of people having it, just hadn't talked to anyone and didn't know what to expect. Now it's a wait and see what the Doc has to recommend thing. Surgery or treat it with meds. I told Hubby if I have to have surgery that I will ask him if he can put a new Band in, this one doesn't seem to be working (lmao). If he does want surgery I'll have to wait and see what they are going to do about my lung first. Bust day again today so I might not be on till later this evening. Michelle, congrats on the dog. How exciting. Becareful on your drive.
