  1. Hi Jenn, so glad you checked in. Up for work and then weigh-in. Then hubby and I get to go refridgerator shopping. Lucky us. About 3 weeks ago it was making a weird noise so we called a guy we knew and he came out and changed a compacitor. Turns out it went out again so our friend came back and told us the bad news. The compressor is out and it would be cheaper to buy a new one. We have had this one for 15 years so I guess we have gotten our moneys worth. Good thing we had an extra one downstairs. We just packed everything up and moved it there. The rest of the stuff is in coolers out on the deck. Have a great day and I will check in later.
  2. Good Sunday Morning Everyone. I'll be in and out all day long. Lots of yardwork and housework to do. Make it a good one.
  3. Michelle, I sure could use some of your gumption. I have some work that needs to be done around the pool. I keep saying that every year and I never get it done.
  4. Home from work and just resting for a few. I need to get my housework done also. Neighbor and I had a date to do Pedi's and margaritas yesterday. But I had a funeral to go to and wasn't able to make it for the Pedi. I'll probably do that Monday. Anyway we met at the mexican restaurant and share a plate of chicken nachos and before we knew it we had drank 2 margi's a piece. That's my limit without having a des-driver. We gabbed for a couple of hours and then headed home. I was so tired from the whole week that it didn't take long for me to fall asleep in the computer room for about an hour. Got up and 2 hours later I was back in bed. Beautiful day here to day so I'm gonna go out and enjoy it. Hope all are having a great weekend.
  5. Oh great, now my head hurts this morning. ugghhh.
  6. OK, I',m home and drunk. Dang neighbor.
  7. Tracy, I try very hard not to weigh myself to often. I retain water very fast and I would just drive myself crazy with the up and down. So I weigh Monday mornings and usually again on Friday. I do it on Friday beacuse then I know how to eat over the weekend. For some reason this time around I'm not into the weight loss number as I have been before. I'm just enjoying knowing I'm losing beacuse first, I feel better and second my clothes are really hanging on me now. I'm not paying so much attention to the numbers. Kat, I like those moments when my husband takes my breath away by doing or saying something little. No big grand gesture, a little pat on the butt, a pinkie squeeze, a wink, a woot woot. Those are the things I can store away in my memories and pull them out when I need a little lift. I hope that both of you will have the time of your lives in Sturgis. Jenn, HUGS. Drew, So glad you are here and feeling like a part of our little group. We always need one more here. I did the wal-mart thing this morning. ughhhh. But I made it out with out chewing someones head off. It's a good day. Trying to decide if I want to do a pedi today or wait till monday, hmmmmm.
  8. Up and getting ready for work. I ached all night long but did manage to get some good sleep. I guess mowing for 5 hours will do that to you. After work I have a funeral to attend. Sad story but he was one of those guys that you just feel blessed to have known. He fought a good battle his whole life. Kat, cashew shells are very poisonous from what I hear. I too have never seen one. Have a great day everyone.
  9. Got home from pushing a lawn mower for 5 hours and the girl on the evening shift texted and wanted to know if I could work for her tonight. I could barely make it up the stairs let alone be in a fitness center for 4 hours. I couldn't do it anyway, my class is making it's Confirmation tonight and I need to be there. Michelle. I was huge when I had my surgery and being on a diet was not in my vocabulary at the time. I gained I bet at least 25 pounds in the 6 months following my surgery. But I ran into complications and was home bound for those 6 months. It was a free for all with the eating. Just follow your band rules and you should do just fine. Didn't hear from my Band Doc today. Poor Jenn. I hope she will be able to get some rest this weekend. Tracy, You have been down this road before and you know what you need to do to make it thru it. You will make it. Don't let the stress of the DD and DH interfere with your journey. Kat, man-o-man. Don't know what to say to you and all your family drama. Just know that I am thinking of you. Cindy??? 1 more day???
  10. Welcome Trey. Tracy, Hubby and I walk around the house like that ll the time. But with us, it's called "Old Age". Hubby cracks me up when he comes out from the back of the house and walks out to the kitchen. Then he goes back and then comes back out again cussing at himself that he hates when he goes to a room to do something and leaves without doing it. We find ourselves doing that more often. I called the Band Doc this morning to see about setting up my surgery. The nurse said she would talk to him about taking the gallbladder out also. I think I'll ask if he can do a little titty lift, lol. Cindy, I probably wouldn't have any cuticles left or something I could find to dig at. It's good that it's only 1 week a year. Busy night at the hospital tonight. We like it that way, makes time pass faster. Tomorrow is our really big day. It's our first time this year to cut the grass at our Church. It usually takes us about 6 hours to do all of the work. And than my class is making their Confirmation tomorrow night, so i'll have to come home and shower and clean in time to go to that. I have had so much fun with those kids. Kat, hopefully the kids moving will let them figure out for themselves just which direction they want to take their lives in. I hope it is a real eye opener for them and that they know that they have a family that really does care for them and love them. Tracy, I also watch Ruby. The part where they talk about everyone having something in their past that they use food to mask it with, well, I'm not so sure about that. All my life I have been heavy, when I was younger it wasn't too bad but after I got married was when I really put the weight on. I have racked my brain trying to figure out what happened to me at such an early age to have caused me to do this to myself. I have not one single complaint about my childhood, ok I take that back. I wish I had grown up in an era where they taught you to eat everything on your plate. Don't leave the table till your plate is empty. That's my biggest hurdle right now. I take 5 bites of my dinner and can't walk away from it because I still have 4 bites left. Other than that there is nothing that happened to me that would cause me to eat beyond belief. I JUST LOVE FOOD. I'm gonna finish American Idol and then head to bed. I may not be on tomorrow. I'll check in when I can. Hugs to all of you.
  11. Hey Trey. Good Morning guys. Supposed to get up to 80 degrees here today. I'm loving this weather, juts wish we could get the pool opened. Hubby and I will be off to the gym here soon. After I get home and take a shower I'll call the Band Doc. Need to get that ball rolling. Other things on my list...Run to pharmacy and pick up sis's meds, swing by CPA and pick up tax papers and get them sent off. I love refunds. Wash car and vacuum it and then go pick out some phlox to get planted. Oh and today is our day to work at the hospital. I'll check in soon.
  12. Long day but a GOOD day. Just got home from seeing the Pulmonologist and all is WELL. Barring any problems coming from the Berylium leak, I don't need to see her anymore. She said the cyst are common and will cause me no harm. She said they are filled with fluid right now but that I don't need to worry about them. She said it was a go for my hernia surgery, that the anesthesia will not be a problem. I did point out to her that in the report is showed gallstones so I am going to ask the Doc if he will take that out while he's in there. She said don't be surprised than if he has me spend the night in the hospital for a dual surgery. I did tell her that I didn't really want the surgery because right now I am losing weight. She said that she understood but also said that I needed to have it, she said that I could cause serious problems to my Lungs and esophagus. The acid would burn them and scare them and then I would be in a heap of trouble. So tomorrow morning I will call the Band Doc and get everything set up. I told her several times, "It's a Great Day". She laughed and said that I made her day because it is not often that she gets to give good news to people. Michelle, I'm saying my prayers for your Mom and you. 2 years ago when my sister had her back surgery, she was on the table for over 10 hours. They had told us it would take 8.5 to 9 hours. We were pacing that last hour. Good Luck. Kat, You know how I feel about drama. And I had my fill of it today with the sis. I'm keeping you and Rick in my prayers also. Tracy, I sure hope you had another great eating day. I'm so proud of you. Hi Cindy. Jenn, hope you are having a great time at your new job.
  13. Tracy, try and get a good nights sleep.
  14. Ok, I'm back. We needed to tell each other what was going on with the nut. I have an appointment with the Pulmonologist tomorrow afternoon. The CT Scan with contrast showed that the mass are actually cyst. She said that they are not cancerous, AMEN. But I need to go ask a lot of questions. I'll let you guys know what I find out. And my Band Doc wants to know if I can have the surgery for my hernia, so that will be one of the questions. I'm not really wanting to have the surgery because I'm losing weight this way. Usually after lunch I am done eating for the day. Have a great evening. Hi Jenn, miss you.
  15. Hey guys, Left work and went to WW for my weigh-in and meeting. Lost another 2.5 pounds. That's 18.8 in the last 5 weeks. I'm pretty happy. Hubby called to tell me that the hospital had called and they were dismissing my sister. So off I go to feed her cat and open the windows. I head all they way over to the place and get her and we head to the store to get her prescripts filled. She doesn't want to do any shopping, just go home. Well, you have no food in your apartment. An hour later we are leaving and taking her home. She called me just a little while ago to let me know that she has set up a few appointments already. It's back to normal around here, her driving me crazy. Be back in a few, other sister just walked in. Never ending around here............
  16. Cindy, That is a good looking family. We have a strawberry festival here also. I have never been but I have heard that the food is wonderful. Guess I need to stay away from there.
  17. Tracy, I agree. You did it once and you WILL do it again. We will be there to cheer you on and to listen anytime you need us. Keep up the good work.
  18. Hey. I am so pooped. The concert was more awesome than you could imagine and we just had the best time. All 3 singers were great and George did a fabulous job. We didn't get out of there till after 11:30 and by the time we got home and in to bed it was 12:30ish. My alarm was set for 6:30am. Yes, I meant to get up at that time but acctually ended up waking up at 6:15. Got out of bed and took a shower and fed the kitties. I had to meet my boss at 9am to head over to Kansas to go to a training seminar. Got back into town around 3:30 and stopped by to feed my sisters cat. I'm so surprised that I did not fall asleep at the seminar. I'm really ready right now to hit the bed but I stripped it this morning and am washing everything. Plus Hubby and I just changed the box springs and flipped the mattress. I should be sleeping good tonight. Kat, that is horrible about you son and his family. I will keep them in my prayers that all works out for the best for them. Michelle, glad to hear you are feeling a little better. And how sweet of you to take the little doggie in and watch out for it. I hope the owners turn out to be people that really do care about the dog and that he just somehow managed to get lost. Poor thing. I see a long night sleep in my near future.
  19. Morning Girls. Up and trying to get woke up so we can head to the gym. Big day for us. The concert for George Strait and Reba McEntire is tonight. I'm so excited. There is 6 of us going and I also know of some other cousins that will be there. And I'm NOT driving. WooHoo. Michelle, One other thing. It was about 5 weeks before I got behind the wheel of my car. I finally decided to go to the store and startedt to pull out of the garage, as soon as I had to turn the wheel out of the driveway I put it back in drive and pulled back into the garage. The muscles that it took to just turn the wheel were not ready for that. I had to wait for hubby to get home so he could take me to the store. Also get yourself one of the grabber things. The long pole things that you can use to pick things up with. That way if you drop anything you won't have to bend over. It will be awhile before you'll be able to do that. Tracy, I'm so proud of you and really happy for you. Be back soon.
  20. Michelle, congrats on them moving the surgery up. I know it was one of the best things that happened to me, you'll love it too. I spent about 2 weeks prior to my surgery getting things done. All the laundry shopping, baking, cooking, bills, cleaning and anything else I could think of. It made a huge difference because I was able to come home from the hospital and not worry about what needed to be done and how was I going to do it. Went to the grocery store this morning and picked up a few things that they had on sale. went from there to the hardware stoe and bought some grass and weed killer. I have yardwork in my future. It's really chilly out and supposed to get up to only 60 degrees today. Tracy, thank you for being on track and headed to make it thru day 4. It's stuff like that that keeps me on track, especially when you go to the store and they have all their Easter candy on sale.
  21. Wacky day at the hospital. I had called this morning to see if I needed to come in for labs. She said no unless I was diabetic or allergic to dye. Well, I'm both. So in at noon I go to have blood drawn. I go from there to radiology and they take me right in. Put me on the table and I hear them talking. She comes back and asked if I had labs drawn. Yup. Well, we have to wait till the report comes back. You guessed it, they lost my report some where. An hour and a half later they get the report and decide not to do the dye-contrast. They said they didn't want to tax my kidneys. She said that she read the report from the previous Scan and it said to just do a follow up one. So I told her what the Doc wanted and why. She went and explained it to the radiologist and came back and said they would use half the amount of dye. By this time I have not had anything to eat or drink in about 15 hours. I'm dehyrated and they stuck me 3 times before they could get an IV in me. Took longer to do that then the whole scan took. By this time we are now late at getting out and we still have to run home to eat and change and get back to the hospital for our shift. So Hubby goes over to our department and tells them that we won't be in to work. We left and went to a new mexican restaurant for a late lunch. Home now and sat outside with the kitties till it got too cool. Now just gonna take it easy and enjoy my evening off.
  22. Horrible night with the acid in my throat. Woke up with a pounding headache and can't take anything because I have my CT Scan scheduled for today. Ugghhh. It'll be ok. Tracy, awesome job on day 3. And I bet with the stress going on with the DSD it hasn't been easy. Just remember that you come first. If you don't take care of yourself than you can't take care of your family. Kat and Michelle. I hope this morning finds both of you feeling better nd getting better. Jenn, So glad you are back to work but I miss you being here. Hope all is going well with you and the kids. Hi Cindy. I'll be back after our hospital shift this evening.
  23. :party:Let's hear it for Tracy.:thumbup::thumbup: :cornut:Great Job.:thumbup: :thumbup::hurray:Day 3.:thumbup: Awesome.:thumbup::thumbdown:
  24. So, if you go to the dictionary and look up "nothing", you will see a picture of me. Really. For about 4 hours that is all I did and I would have done it longer but I was able to get in to get my hair done. And Daniel just stopped by for a ride. He the boy that is 23 but has the mental capacity of an 11 year old. We all watch out for him in the neighborhood. His mom is a teacher and there is 6 kids in the family. Daniel shows up every now and than and either needs a ride to church or just wants to hang with you. He's always full of questions. Poor thing. He doesn't understand why people are so mean. I wish I knew that answer. Kat, OMG. That had to have been awful. We took my sis back to the surgery Doc to have the stitches taken out and he couldn't find anything wrong. She was bending and moving the knee on her own. She also knew she was out of pain pills and wasn't going to get anymore so she had her little agenda. Not sure what I want to fix for dinner. Maybe some scrambled eggs.
  25. Hello CWTBT. Hope you are having a great day.
