Screaming... Jumping up & down... hugging... general merriment & mayhem!! Yup... that's what I'm planning on! :w00t:
  2. Ha ha, Judy. You'll be meeting a "me" who I don't get to trot out much... simply Michelle. Not "someone's Mom" or the "PTA volunteer" or "soccer Mom" or "David's wife"... just... me! While I think she's a happy, confident, easy-going, fun gal... it's been awhile... so who knows?? Isn't this going to be fun!? Mwua ha ha ha! (evil laugh) :w00t:
  3. OK! Took my "take no prisoners" attitude w/me today and it worked! Phew! I thought it would... but you never know. Actually, I just killed them w/over-the-top kindness & personal "cool"... yeah, that's me! LOL! Make it a great eve, Vi's!
  4. Mean, sneaky people suck.:rolleyes2:
  5. Oh dear, Suzie! Please remember to care for yourself as well as you are caring for everyone else!! When it says "Lifesaver" on the package, they're not being literal! :rolleyes2: Another day, another... day! Hung w/my friend w/the dd issues yesterday... helped her edit her grad school paper (hint, hint, Pam...)... she says she's getting me warmed up for her dissertation in a couple years (ahem, Pam...)... everything seems to have settled down for her for now... still up in the air w/her dd... I'm walking into a crazy/odd situation later today that is really too complicated/convoluted to explain here, but suffice it to say that I will need to have my "A" game with me... all my Violet confidence & balls & bravado... which I can do... it's just I'm a bit nervous about it for some reason... which I can't let them see... so I need to get PUMPED UP! GRRRRRRR! Wish me luck! Make it a great day, everyone!

Oh my goodness I am getting so excited!! 3 weeks from today I'll be flying through the friendly skies on my way to meet my VIOLETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm up for anything on Sunday... I'm thinking that after Fri & Sat activities, maybe we should just take Sunday as it comes, see how we feel, etc....... I am EASY (not THAT kind of easy!)... meaning, will go w/the flow & flow w/the go... but it's good to have options! Just having a long weekend for JUST ME to ENJOY is more than I can ask for!! It's been... forever?... since I've had one, so I don't even know what I'll feel like doing!! On the topic of meeting up @ the airports... why do I have the sneaking suspicion that that is NOT going to be a problem... for US... but for the others at the airports who are near us when another Vi is spotted... ooh la la... watch out peoples! 3 weeks! 3 weeks! 3 weeks!!
  7. Good Morn, Vi's~~ Nothing really to report from Md... same old, same old... keeps me busy & running around. This morning, had a gal tell me that she didn't recognize me! How much fun is this?! Make it a great day, Vi's!
  8. I've got my friend's younger daughter here again for tonight. They've been in the ER all day w/the older one and she is going to be admitted tonight. Sigh.

:blushing: JUDY!! I can NOT WAIT to meet all of you! If we're half as fun in person as in cyberspace, this weekend is going to be a BLAST!!!

The only way I'll "freak out" is if I see a snake... :glare: hoo boy... but otherwise, yeah... if my toob gets a leak or our 'ritas run out... I will require "professional" "manly man" assistance! :Dancing_biggrin:
  11. mdrai replied to a post in a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hear me now, ladies... if I have any probs on the river, then I want one of the "manly men" to help me! (even if I have to FAKE a prob! :Dancing_biggrin:) Or... I guess I could just put my feet down in the water and stand up... yeah, that'd probably do it, huh? :glare: Read along w/Michelle: "... blah blah blah... beer!... blah blah... comsopolitans!" See now how my mind works?? (Oh, and how 'bout a thermos of 'ritas??? please?? purty pleasse?)
  12. Thanks for your advice, Terry. Actually, she's already working w/a psychologist AND, ironically, her mom is a social worker working on her masters in teen issues, so she is very up-to-date on all of this. In fact, last night the hospital docs wanted to send her to one place and my friend said "no way", that she wants her to go to another one that the hospital docs didn't even know existed. Duh. So I'm confident that she is well-versed in all this. Now if it were me, I'd be completely lost... of course, then she'd be the first person I'd call. As I said, ironic. Purty flowers, Pam. I am the worst @ gardening. We're lucky if the grass is maintained! Seriously. If it weren't for flowering weeds, I'd have no garden at all. Whenever my mom visits, she plants things and then I'm supposed to water them... ha ha ha! She keeps saying that she needs to come for a couple weeks & get my yard into shape... and I say, "c'mon!" Actually, my in-laws are watching the kids for our Gruene weekend (dh will be in Chicago for work) and my fil is a big gardener, so I'm going to get some plants/flowers and let him go crazy in the yard... I'm hoping he'll like having a "project" rather than just sitting around. So *maybe* he'll inspire us??

This is me reading all those water statistics: "Blah blah blah blah... this may require getting out of the tube and walking across a shallow rock shelf" -- here I think how lovely I'll look trying to gracefully get OUT of the tube and lug it across a "rock shelf" ha ha ha! -- "... blah blah blah" "manly men..." -- oh goodie! manly men will be there, too! I'm such a spaz! This is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!
  14. Morning, Vi's~~ What an evening! My dear friend's 9th grade daughter (who's in care for depression & some other issues) took a combo of pills yesterday afternoon and her boyfriend called EMS so my friend is making dinner when they appear on her doorstep -- she didn't have a clue what was going on! Long story short, her 5th grade daughter came here & ended up spending the night while they went to the hospital. She was released @ 1:30am... but now dear friend is going to try to get her into a residential adolescent treatment facility for sexual abuse (original issue)... please keep them in your good thoughts & prayers... they are such wonderful people... my heart aches for her & them... Count your blessings.
  15. Hi... Yay you "lossers"... ha haha... that cracks me up every time. Nothing to say... just checking in...

I'm thinking they're more like pool shoes... they look sorta like meshy tennis shoes?? I got mine for aqua aerobics at landsend.com.
  17. No shiner from the fall yesterday... but my shoulder -- OW OW OW!! Oddly, it isn't even bruised! But it hurts from the top near my neck all the way to about 1/2 way between my shoulder & elbow. I mean really excrutiating pain. Weirdest thing ever. I'd go to the doc w/it, but there's nothing to look at & no bumps. Actualy, now that I think of it, I *am* going to the doc for my 3-mo wt loss follow-up (regular doc) on Tuesday... I'll mention it then see what she says. As I'm typing this, my right hand is hurting... d'ya think it's from my shoulder??
  18. I am miserable. There, I said it. Emotionally, physically, spiritually. Everything is annoying me. Everyone. When I get like this, I try to count my blessings and then just wait it out. Usually works. Bleh.
  19. My opinion... give it some time, Laura. Between TOM & your bod getting used to working out, etc... it's just the way it is. I'm sure you'll be bouncing down again soon. + I think the protein helps + do you drink water/liquids? + try to actually eat 3 meals & limit the snacks (ha ha... do as I SAY, not as I DO!)... you're doing soooo great... I think it's too soon to freak out... I know, easy for me to say!!

I'm definitely toobin', but am thinking that 2 hrs will be good for me. I'm wearing my Speedo 1-piece suit w/shorts over + pool shoes... oooh, what a look! My legs are shot now, even w/the wt loss, so it'll be skirts & capris for me. I'll bring extra shampoo & sun lotion... I'm checking my bag... nonstop flight... I need to get some new pj's... I'm like Laura... still wearing my 26/28s w/drawstrings... waaaaaaay too big, but comfy! I was just chasing the cat and I tripped and fell forward (at a run) and smashed my right shoulder & then right cheek bone (as in cheek on my face) into the back of one of the dining room chairs, & then I fell like a tree onto the floor. The whole house shook. Ow. I hope I don't get a black eye! I want a 'rita... N-O-W!!!
  21. Hey Vi's~~ Went to the doc yesterday for my monthly check-up and all is well. I did not get a fill... I'm definitely on the fence about it, I mean, one eve last week I was able to eat and enjoy 1/2 of a steak and cheese sandwich (bun & all!) but then another day less than a cup of tuna salad had me w/the stuck feeling, and on Thurs night a teensy bit of asian bbq pork (cooked all day in the crock pot) had me yacking into the toilet... so my band & I obviously run the gamut here. So... I figure I'd err on the side of caution and *not* get a fill... we'll see how I'm doing/where I am in another month -- + AFTER our trip! I can see maybe getting a little bit more to help kick off the last 30 'til goal or whatever... DD has riding today, then friends are coming for dinner, so gotta run... make it a great day!!
  22. Yay Jenn!!!
  23. Good Morn, Vi's~~ I'm here... just busy. TOM arrived yesterday & w/it killer cramps... layed on the heating pad all night... ugh. Today I have work, + 2 coffees w/friends... the first is the one who was just diagnosed w/breast cancer; her surgery is scheduled for May 8 but I don't know any more info so I'll catch up w/her... the second is the gal who's hubby left her on her b'day last summer; we meet every other week like clockwork & she's either up or down; whichever way she is, I just let her vent & live thru her vicariously; she's GORGEOUS and now that she's single, she's got a very lively social life! Then kids get out of schol 2 hrs early... & they get to go to the dentist for regular cleanings! Poor dears. Like I said... busy!! I go to the doc tomorrow... can't decide if I need a fill or not, which makes me lean toward "not"... I don't want to be TOO full... but I also am not good at relying solely on my own willpower... hmmmmmmmmmmm... Make it a good one, gals!
  24. :party:Happy Bandiversary, Jenn!
