Oh! Have been "good" so far all day today. 2:54pm. Did my aqua exercise + have eaten properly. Protein shake for b'fast, soy strips w/toms & shrooms & a little cheese for lunch. Salmon is planned for dinner. *May* get a skinny latte while ds is at soccer this eve... it would be my "treat", which I shouldn't treat myself w/food, but... And... tomorrow I'm getting my hair DONE... hilights & cut... phew! It's been tooooooooo long! Then maybe, maybe, mani & pedi next week... we'll see w/time & $! HAve started making the "List" for my in-laws w/the kids' info & schedules & directions to things... It's 7 pages long already!! I'm nothing if not comprehensive!!

Personal computers weren't even invented back when I was dating... sounds like I missed all the fun! I need Laura to "hootch" me up, too. I'm such a boring old PTA Mom fuddy-duddy. Bleh. Oh yea, I'm in a crankity mood. I'm just tired of doing EVERYTHING... every. thing. Have I mentioned that I can't wait to let loose w/ya'll???!!!

Hey gals... Another day closer to our trip! I'm eating like crap, but as ever, every day dawns with renewed hope & motivation... until my basically nonexistant willpower caves and I'm face-first in <insert naughty food here>... ugh. I realize that it's my emotional eating that's at work here... so at least I realize it... that's something, yeah? <grasping @ rationalizations>... At least I'm dressed & ready to go to the Y for my 9a class... I didn't even do THAT on Monday ("too busy" was the excuse du jour). So today IS starting out on the right foot. Sigh. Oh well. Onward, ever onward. No one said this would be easy!! Make it a great one, Vi's!

Hey Gang... I'm here... but am out the door in 5, so I'll catch up later. Life is just swirling, whirling all around me... I have so many folks in my life w/so much going on & I'm trying to be the cheerleader for them all that it is starting to take its toll on me... I cannot wait for our trip!!! Altho I'm starting to think I'll have to stick to an all-liquid diet while there -- ALL MARGARITAS!! he he he. Make it a good one & I'll try to get back on today...

Whew! What a day! Those little kids are energetic! And speaking of speech... one of them doesn't talk. period. & I guess everyone is ok w/that. Seemed a bit odd... at age 6? Terri... surprise me!! Please!! You are so creative... I like hearts and prefer silver to gold... I like greens/blues/purples... I am so honored to be getting ANOTHER Terridoodle original!! I guess we know what it takes to motivate me now, huh??? :thumbup: I'm giddy!

2 WEEKS! In 2 weeks I'll be ON THE PLANE!! I'm so excited!! I feel like I did when I was holding in the WDW surprise!! Now THAT's excited!!

Me?? Aw shucks! I wasn't sure after I zoomed down to 231 and then bounced back up... I feel like a super ball... boing -- boing -- boing!! I'm so excited! I rarely win anything! This makes my day! Last night I was voted in as Prez of the PTA for 1 more year... I've been every position there is in the PTA over the past 8 years... I was prez for 2 years a couple years ago... no one would do it so I just said I would... so my priority for next year (my last @ the ES) is PARENT INVOLVEMENT... to build up the ranks, increase enthusiasm & numbers of folks involved! Today I'm subbing in Kindergarten! Should be fun. It's a 2-hr early dismissal day, so it should go by quickly. Make it a great day, everyone!

Can I just say that I like that the board went back to the previous lay-out, esp on the main page. I was getting so annoyed at being able to see all those "Hi, I'm new here and this is my problem..." or "Hi, I'm having severe pain... what should I do?" posts... uh, duh... why are you posting here? Call your doc! I tried not to look at them... now I don't have to.... yay!

Oh my gosh! This had me really, truly laughing out loud... "Just remember, one of us will look and act completely normal, but be careful cause she's a lesbian!! I'd have done the exact same thing, Tracy. In fact, I did, a couple weeks ago, w/dd & her cold... went to doc, no strep, no ear infection, just a cold... about 5 days later she keeps complaining about her ear "popping" and I said it was just the fluid draining, blah blah... a couple days later after she made 3 trips to the school health room I break down & take her back to the doc & she has a raging ear infection... didn't I feel like crap? But if she wasn't such a drama queen and faker the REST of the time... And so it goes...

Cat came back. DD walked down to the mail box to mail a letter and said he was just standing in the neighbor's creek run-off area (a bunch of rocks) so she called and called and slowly he followed her home. He looks ok... no obvious injuries... just his white legs are wet & muddy... Did I mention, he's a stupid cat?

Hmmm... What DO they say about notaries?? They do it legally? They do it with a seal? (now THERE's a visual!) They do it under oath? tee hee hee...

Tracy... Enjoy your day!! I understand completely... I never take those experiences for granted!! Went to aqua aerobics class this a.m.... first time in 2 weeks! Yay! One of my cats (indoor cat) went out last night and hasn't come home yet. It's cold & has been raining steadily all night & day. He has a habit of doing this. The problem is, while he always returns (eventually)... I'm worried that one time his luck will run out! He's my big, stupid boy... he annoys the heck out of me frequently (he wakes me up each morn by walking on my head & nipping at my nose)... I do love him. Stupid cat! (Of course, the other cat is always very content when he's off on one of his sojourns!) I'm still sitting here in my wet suit... off to shower... will bbl!

I understand & agree w/all of you, too! I've lost 80+ lbs and am still FAT. It's true. But I'm so much healthier & happier w/myself than I was 1+ year ago. AND, I'm still going down, down, down the scale, albeit a bit more slowly lately... but it's still down! Pam, you said it perfectly: "I don't give a hoot about someone's size... it's the quality of their character that I am interested in." THAT is why I am getting on a plane and flying across country to meet a bunch of gals I met "on the Internet"... no matter how whacky my family/friends in RL think that is... because after 1+ year of daily, sometimes hourly, communication w/ya'll... I really think that we know each other's TRUE CHARACTERS... because on here we have nothing else to hide behind... not our looks, our income level, our religion, our politics, etc... and we have hit it off for whatever reason and meeting is really just a technicality to how we already know each other's TRUE SELVES. I know, I'm going off onto some tangent here... but you get what I'm trying to say, yes?? You ALL ROCK!!

Jen... try as little alcohol as possible... you just never know... have you guys ever seen that "reality" show on some cable station (tlc??) about airports & all the craziness that goes on?? It's a hoot to watch on a rainy day... haven't seen it in AGES... maybe it's not even on any more... I can't remember what it was called... but it seemed like every time I caught it, there was some alcohol-induced incident that = someone not boarding or being hauled off to airport jail or some such thing... one time a guy had his "invisible" wife w/him... too funny!!

Now that's cute! Good Morning, Vi's~~ Regular Saturday here... errands, dd's riding lesson, housework... nothing exciting planned. Now our MAY weekends are looking completely zoo-y already... 3+ activities each weekend day all over the place... yikes! May is always like that, tho. Then June comes, school gets out, and it's just lazy days by the pool! Sign me up for THAT! My friend and I are going to split a CSA share for the summer... have you heard about them? It stands for "Community Supported Agriculture". You pay a local farm $x for x weeks (for us it's $400 for 20 weeks) and then each week you receive a box of fruits/veggies/eggs from that farm & others in their co-op. It's not a "community garden"... dh was adament about not having to "work" in someone else's garden, as he never has time to work in ours! -- lol -- but there's no "sweat equity"... just your cash & their yummy summer produce. I've read/see/heard about CSAs a lot in the news/magazines/radio lately... it's one of the "eco-friendly", "eat locally" ideas of the moment. To me, it just sounds good! Anyhoo, we're going to split a share because based on the sample lists of weekly foods you receive, we're concerned that it'd be too much for just one of us... after 3 or 4 weeks, I don't want to get "behind" in eating all the crops, and have a pile of veggies wilting all around me... ew.
