  1. That gives me so much hope! I can't wait to start my journey.
  2. Hello all I just went to the seminar yesterday with my hubby, and beforehand was convinced I wanted the Lapband, but now I am leaning more toward the bypass. I have Tricare Prime and will be calling my PCP tomorrow to make an appointment so I can get the referral for the bypass. I am hoping it will go smoothly and I can get surgery by the end of the year or beginning of the new year. Looking forward to making new friends and get all the information possible about the bypass.
  3. So so happy for you!! I hope I will be getting banded soon. I go to the seminar Saturday and I am soooooo ready!!!
  4. What does NSV stand for? Congratulations on your successes. Wishing you many many more!
  5. Dear Band Family, My sweet dog Taco passed away this past Friday and I am having a hard time dealing with it. She wasn't just a dog to me, she was my four legged baby and I miss her terribly. My heart hurts so much. She was 5 years, 9 months, and 11 days old. All I do is cry, and I am so depressed. Ice cream has been my best friend. I think I'm hoping it will numb me inside. I just feel at a loss. Thank you for letting me get this out. This is her.
  6. Thank you for the inspiring words!! I hope that I can say the same thing some day! Congratulations on your success!!
  7. There are several reasons I want to get banded and lose weight. Mainly it's so I can feel better and not be in pain anymore. But I finally admitted to my husband a secret reason I want to lose weight. It's silly and I felt dumb telling him but he laughed and encouraged me. I love that man!! My secret reason: I want to be able to dress up as a solid gold dancer for Halloween next year!! Anyone else want to share!?!
  8. Woot! Woot! Way to go!
  9. Way to go!! You are beautiful and I wish you all the luck in the world!!
  10. Weight can fluctuate 2-3 pounds, sometimes more many times in a day. Water consumption, stress, and time of day has a lot to do with it. Try not to focus on the scale, but on how you feel and how your clothes are fitting. Best of luck, you are doing awesome!!
  11. So glad to hear your recovery has been going smoothly! Best of luck and lots of loss!!
  12. I think he will be supportive of you, once you get the surgery...I hope!! At least you have your mmom and bestie to have your back, and if he loves you (which I'm sure he does), he'll be there too. Just keep pushing through, do what's right for you, and it will all fall in place. Best of lucj!!
  13. Don't be down, 8 pounds is still awesome!! Every pound lost is a success. Keep your spirits up!
  14. That is ridiculous!! Don't they realize weight can fluctuate day to day by a few pounds, and especially for women!! Stress can also make you gain, and they are giving you a heck of a lot of stress!!! I don't have Aetna but rather Tricare Prime. I really hope they don't make me go through hoops. I haven't gone to my PCP yet and I am scheduled for the seminar on Saturday the 21st of September. I am really hoping to be banded by the end of the year so I can start the year off right. Good luck to you!!!
  15. WOW!! That is wonderful!! Congrats on such great progress. It really is a big change.
  16. Good Luck! Wishing a quick recovery!

  19. You look wonderful! I hate having my picture taken and usually avoid it at all cost but I think i will take some pictures before I have my actual surgery so I can reflect in the changes as I go through my journey.
  20. Congratulations and good luck!! I haven't started the referral and approval process with my insurance but I'm hoping it will be a smooth process.
  21. I would like to be in single digit clothes. My ideal wight is about 128 pounds, but I'm aiming for 125.
  22. I got it on my kindle and have just started to read it. I like how it is broken out by the different stages. Since I am just beginning, i am reading from the beginning. I am just trying to get as much information as possible so I can be well informed and be armed and ready when i go to my doctor and request the surgery. Good luck on your journey Fit!!
  23. I am so excited and terrified at the same time. I hope the process will go smoothly and I can get banded sooner rather than later.
